Miami Mayhem Slot Review
Five of the city’s most notorious misfits, Ghosting Gordo, Roxie Rizz, Vinny the Vice, Lola la Reina, and Diego el Fuego, are teaming up for the heist of a lifetime – the heat is on, and it’s not just from the sun.
With dirty money, bent coppers, and rival gangs on every street corner, this unruly group must outsmart the system and outrun the city if they’re to succeed. In a city where loyalty means nothing, trust is a luxury, and survival is key.
Welcome to Miami Mayhem, the latest action-packed slot release from Hacksaw Gaming. It’s crazy to think we got Miami Mayhem before the release of GTA 6, which is the obvious inspiration for Hacksaw Gaming’s latest gangland slot.
Rockstar’s Grand Theft Auto series is arguably the most famous video game series of all time, with Miami Mayhem being the third slot (that we know of) to draw inspiration from it. West Coast Cash Infinity Reels from ReelPlay did it first, transporting players back to Grove Street, the home of CJ in San Andreas, followed by Play’n GO’s Viper City Heist.
This time, we’re off to ‘Vice City’ or rather the city upon which Vice City was themed…Miami. This game looks to offer up all of the ill-gotten gains that you could ever want, but getting your hands on the money won’t be easy.
With a fixed RTP of 96.35% and a high (4/5) volatility score, we’re hopeful to get our hands on the 15,000x max win potential, but will our efforts be in vain? Get ready for some seriously heated action!

Base Game & Features
Miami Mayhem is a highly volatile, action-packed slot release from Hacksaw Gaming, consisting of 5 reels, 4 rows, and 14 fixed pay lines. Payouts between 0.2x and 10x your bet are awarded when 3 or more matching symbols land on reels 1-5, starting from reel 1.
The 10 paytable symbols include a range of characters, weapons, and card suits: A, K, Q, J, & 10. Additionally, the game reveals Wilds & Scatter symbols as part of the paytable, responsible for the following outcomes:
- Wilds: Appear on all reels and substitute for all paytable symbols as part of a winning combination
- Scatters: Are responsible for triggering up to 3 Free Spins modes. Please note that Scatters do not appear during the Mission Respins feature

Expanding Crew Reels
During gameplay, individual Crew symbols can land on all reels, expanding to fill the entire reel as long as they’re part of at least 1 winning combination. Expanded Crew symbols will display 1 of 5 Crew Members, each connected to a specific reel:
- Reel 1: Ghosting Gordo
- Reel 2: Roxie Rizz
- Reel 3: Vinny the Vice
- Reel 4: Lola le Reina
- Reel 5: Diego el Fuego
Once expanded, the Crew Member will act as a Wild symbol, covering every position upon its reel, with the possibility of revealing a Multiplier between 2x and 100x your bet. This value is applied to the entire Crew Reel, multiplying all winning combinations that pass through it.
If more than 1 Crew Reel is part of the same win, both Multipliers are added together before being applied to the winning combination. Please note that only 1 Crew Reel can land on a reel at the same time.
Missions
Mission sequences are triggered when a Wanted symbol appears on the reels. Once active, the Wanted Level Bar assigns a specific Mission Target, awarding 3 Respins.
At the start of each Mission, 1 high-paying symbol is randomly chosen as the target. If the current mission is completed within 3 Respins, a new Mission is selected, causing the Wanted Level to increase by +1 step and the Respins meter to refill.
If the Wanted Level reaches 5 Stars, it will remain at that stage, awarding additional Missions with further Respins, until a Mission is failed.
The current status of the Wanted Level is visible above the main reel set, with each Mission beginning at Level 0. As the Wanted Level progresses, so does the minimum value on expanded Crew Reels:
- Level 1: Awards a minimum of 2x your bet
- Level 2: Awards a minimum of 5x your bet
- Level 3: Awards a minimum of 10x your bet
- Level 4: Awards a minimum of 15x your bet
- Level 5: Awards a minimum of x25 your bet
If all 3 Respins are depleted before the current Mission is completed, it will result in a failed Mission.

Miami Mayhem Free Spins
The Hit is the first Free Spins mode, triggered when 3 Scatters land within the base game, awarding 10 Free Spins. This mode maintains the same mechanics from the base game, with a higher chance of landing Crew symbols.
Additionally, each Wanted Level will progress throughout spins, guaranteeing 1 Mission at the start of the mode. All completed Missions will access further Missions, increasing the Wanted Level by +1 step. Please note that Respins are not available at this time.
Finally, landing 2 or 3 Scatter symbols will award an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins, respectively.

We Split
Triggering the We Split Bonus requires 4 Scatter symbols to land within the base game, awarding 10 Free Spins.
Again, this mode benefits from the same mechanics found in The Hit Bonus, only a special Mayhem Bar is available throughout spins. The Mayhem Bar reveals 1 section for each of the 5 reels. If a win occurs with an expanded Crew Reel, the Mayhem Bar will collect and store the respective Crew Reel into its corresponding section.
At the end of the last Free Spin, the Mayhem Bar will release all stored Crew Reels onto their respective reels via a single Crew Spin. The current Multiplier of all available Crew Reels will also reactivate, awarding new wins on the reels where they were stored.
Each section of the Mayhem Bar is only able to store 1 Crew Reel at a time, up to a maximum of 5 in total. To finish, if 2 or 3 Scatters appear in the same spin, an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins are awarded, respectively.

Get Lit!
The final Free Spins mode available is the Get Lit Bonus, which is classified as a Hidden Bonus. Triggering this mode requires 5 Scatters to land within the base game, awarding 10 Free Spins.
This mode utilises the same mechanics found in The Hit Bonus, guaranteeing at least 1 Crew symbol to appear in every spin. Furthermore, the Wanted Level is set at the maximum level (5 Stars), increasing the chance of landing expanded Crew Reels with higher Multipliers.
Bonus Buy
Players within permissible and acceptable regions can purchase up to 5 Bonus Buy options, including a number of Featurespins:
- Bonushunt Featurespins: Each spin is 5x more likely to trigger a Free Spins mode for 3x your bet (96.26%)
- Beach Please Featurespins: Guarantees to award a minimum of 2 crew Reels for 50x your bet (96.31%)
- Mayhem Mode Featurespins: Guarantees to land 1 Wanted symbol for 50x your bet (96.31%)
- The Hit: Awards 10 Free Spins and progressive Wanted Levels for 100x your bet (96.3%)
- We Split: Awards 10 Free Spins and a special Mayhem Bar for 300x your bet (96.27%)
All of the above Bonus Buy options include a volatility rating of High & Extreme. The hidden bonus, Get Lit, is unavailable for purchase through the Bonus Buy tab.
Miami Mayhem has a max win potential of 15,000x your bet. If a single game mode exceeds this, the current mode ends, and the player returns to the base game with the qualifying amount.

Our Honest Verdict
Pro GTA players know that the Jetpack never appeared in Vice City – come on, Hacksaw. All jokes aside, though, Miami Mayhem is a great addition to their growing collection and one that adopts the video game persona, which happens to be the most anticipated video game release to date.
Miami Mayhem beautifully captures the organised chaos of the Grand Theft Auto series, while retaining modern mechanics that Hacksaw Gaming are well recognised for. The Stacked Wilds feature is a Hacksaw special, so its appearance in this release is not surprising.
The best moments in Miami Mayhem come from the Crew symbols, which expand to cover the entire reels. They are responsible for revealing the occasional hefty Multiplier, and sometimes, disappointing ones. The more you have covering the reels, the more rewarding the payout.
In true Hacksaw fashion, there is again an improved Free Spins mode, which stores Crew symbols as part of the final Crew Spin. Additionally, there is also a ‘hidden bonus’, which guarantees to start the Wanted Level at 5 Stars, triggering a Crew symbol on every spin.
Speaking of the Wanted Level, we feel this is a great addition to Miami Mayhem, which ties into the wanted levels of the GTA series – this is the only Wanted Level you’d be lucky to get in the game. It serves to work in unison with Stacked Crew symbols, boosting their minimum value.
Statistically, Miami Mayhem tops the charts with its 15,000x max win potential and respectable RTP variations, though there are a few modules, so it’s worth checking out which is available before playing the game – don’t bother if you’re in Germany.
All in all, Miami Mayhem is a great slot in more ways than one, and another thoroughly entertaining Hacksaw Gaming powerhouse.
