Milk the Cow Slot Review
Thunderkick takes us on an interesting day on the Farm in Milk the Cow! Forget what you know about farming, Milk the Cow is no ordinary farm, filled with a moo-nanza of fun and excitement. This game dishes out creamy wins through the Cluster Pays mechanic, along with a Bonus Game loaded with fresh features and potential.
As the British weather begins to warm up, out of the woodwork come engaging slots featuring animal adventures. We’re not ones to shy away from a hard day’s work, particularly when it comes down to mucking out pigs, milking cows, or collecting eggs. This is thanks to the tireless work of Country Farming, Oink Farm, and Frank’s Farm, to name a few.
Out in the pastures of this Milk the Cow slot, the reels are generous, the cows are chill, and the vibes are delightful!

Base Game & Features
Milk the Cow consists of 5 reels and 5 rows, accompanied by a Cluster Pays mechanic and varying bet sizes between £.€0.10 and £.€100 per spin. This game is classified as a highly volatile slot, coupled with an overall RTP of 94.17% and an average max win cap of 5,000x your bet.
Wins occur when 5-25 matching symbols land horizontally or vertically adjacent across the grid. There are a total of 3 high and low-paying symbols, each applying payouts between 0.2x and 1,000x your bet where applicable.
Wild Field Feature
The Wild Field feature activates when 2 black & white Cow symbols land on the grid. Once active, they will create the largest possible rectangle that transforms enclosed symbols into Wilds. Additional wilds, up to 5, one per reel, can land in view. Wins are calculated after completion and the Hold & Win Bonus cannot trigger during this time.

Field Day Feature
The Field Day feature can be randomly won during any base game spin or via the Bonus Buy tab. This feature is triggered when 2 Bonus Scatters land within the same base game spin. Once active, the Scatter symbols create a field, and a Farmer symbol moves from left to right, across randomly selected rows.
If the Farmer lands inside the field, a fenced Premium Field is created, adjacent Hot Zones are added, and the Bonus Game begins. Alternatively, if the farmer does not land inside the field, the base game will resume as normal.
Bet+ & Bonus Buy
- Bonus Boost: Each spin is 2 times more likely to trigger the Hold & Win Bonus (1.5x your bet)
- Bonus Boost Plus: Each spin is 5 times more likely to trigger the Hold & Win Bonus (2.5x your bet)
- Wild Field Feature: 20x your bet
- Field Day Feature: 30x your bet
- Hold & Win Bonus: 80x your bet
Milk the Cow Slot Hold & Win Bonus
When the Hold & Win Bonus is triggered, you will receive 3 Free Spins, where only Hay Roll, Cow, and Farmer symbols will appear. During gameplay, cow symbols lock into position when they appear, resetting the Free Spins meter to 3.
The round ends when all spins are used or the grid is filled with Cow symbols. When a Cow symbol lands on a grass patch within the Premium Field, it begins grazing with each respin. It begins at the Bronze level, with progress shown on the meter below. Each time the meter fills, the Cow symbol upgrades to Silver and eventually Gold.
The Premium Field will expand if a Farmer symbol appears and lands within a Hot Zone, adding additional zones if space allows and resetting the Free Spins meter. Cow symbols upgrade if they are within the Premium Field and reveal Prizes based on their level at the end of the feature.
Grand Jackpot Feature
The Grand Jackpot of 5,000x your bet is won when all 25 grid positions are filled with Cow symbols during the Hold & Win Bonus.

Our Honest Verdict
We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again, and probably again in future reviews – Hold and Win style games feel very weak to us. There seems to be a hierarchy of excitement, and Hold & Win style games are near the bottom of the pyramid, along with synced reels.
Of course, not all will agree – there seems to be a lot of demand. Thunderkick go about the business of Hold and Win in an imaginative way, at least, with the fenced premium field that serves to upgrade symbols.
We did quite like the Wild Field feature, which created rectangular zones of wild symbols. This provided ample entertainment in what would have otherwise been a dull base game. Statistically, the game feels softer than many of late, with a 5,000x win cap.
Overall, it’s not Thunderkick’s best, at least when compared to the likes of their recently released slots. We’re sure many will find respite from the swathe of serious themes and generic ones here, but for us, it feels a little underwhelming.
