Money Cart 3 Bonus Reels Slot Review 2024
Money Cart 3 Bonus Reels from Relax Gaming is the third in the Money Cart Series!
The Money Cart Series was invented as an alternative to Money Train for players outside of Bonus Buy jurisdiction because the nature of Money Train and its relationship with Bonus Buys are so entwined, that the game kind of became unviable for UK players once Bonus Buys disappeared.
Relax Gaming’s answer to this restriction was a version of money train that completely bypassed the gameplay, and while it’s not quite as potent as the real thing, it gives players a taste of the Money Train potential.
Interestingly enough, Money Cart 2 Bonus Reels was the first to see the light of day, with the original Money Train reimagined as a Money Cart game at a later date.
Money Train 3 came out in September 2022, and it was just a matter of time until the Money Cart variant followed.
Without further ado, let’s check out Money Cart 3 to see if it’s anywhere near as appealing as the original game.
Money Cart 3 Features
The first thing to note about Money Cart 3 is the bet and what it converts to in coins. The Money Train series multiplied the numbers in the bonus rounds by the current bet, but that would be far too ‘overpowered’ to do in Money Cart 3.
Instead, the bet converts to a coin value. A bet of £/€1 per spin will give players a coin value of 0.10, for example.
The aim of the game here is to land 3 or more symbols to trigger a respin. During the re-spin, more symbols are added to the game.
- Collector – Collects all visible values on the reel and adds them to its own value
- Collector/Payer – Selects 3 to 5 symbols as targets, adds their values to its own and then pays out its updated value to each of those targets
- Sniper – Doubles the values of 3 to 8 other symbols. It may act on the same symbol several times
- Necromancer – Brings between 2 to 7 already used non-persistent symbols to life once more. It may act on the same symbol several times
- Absorber – Absorts all normal symbols and removes them from the reels. Special Symbols are not absorbed.
- Tommy Gun Sniper – Targets one randomly picked symbol, doubling its value from 2 to 6 times
- Tommy Gun Payer – Reveals a coin value from 5 to 100 and targets one randomly picked symbol, adding the revealed value from 3 to 10 times
- Persistent Collector – Collects all visible values on the reels and adds them to its own value at the end of that spin and every spin that follows. Does not collect its own value.
- Persistent Sniper – Doubles the value of 3 to 8 other symbols at the end of that spin and every spin that follows. It may act on the same symbol several times
- Persistent Collector/Payer – Selects from 3 to 5 symbols as targets at the end of each spin, adds their values to its own and then pays out its updated value to each of those targets
- Persistent Necromancer – Brings between 1 to 7 already used non-persistent symbols to life again on each spin. The same symbol may be targeted several times
- Persistent Shapeshifter – Turns into a special symbol after every spin.
Money Cart 3 Bonus Reels Max Win
Money Train and all of its variants are renowned for super high maximum win caps. Unfortunately, the nature of Money Cart 3 means that Relax had to tone down its potential.
The maximum win in Money Cart 3 is up to 100,000 coins. If the sum of all values reaches 100,000 coins or higher, then the re=spin round ends and the player is awarded 100,000 coins. This puts the potential of Money Cart 3 at 10,000x.
It certainly pales in comparison to Money Train 3, but it’s certainly still attractive.
Money Cart 3 Bonus Reels – Our Verdict
What can you say about Money Cart 3? It’s a great substitute for Money Train and it isn’t in equal measure.
The absence of the Base Game isn’t a particularly big concern. Money Train 3 and all of its predecessors weren’t known for their huge Base Game potential, so cutting it out completely certainly shouldn’t be a dealbreaker.
Seeing Money Train 3 in action puts into perspective what a fresh wound the absence of bonus buys really is. 100,000x is a fairytale for many, no matter where they are, but to the UK player even a bonus on Money Train 3 feels like breaking into an impregnable fortress, let alone reaching the maximum win.
Money Cart 3 Bonus Reels understandably can’t measure up to Money Train 3, but it’s an appreciated alternative when the other alternative is nothing at all. Relax had to bring the excitement of Money Train to a UK player base while conforming to laws that held the game back, and in their defence, they’ve done a fine job of making Money Cart 3 as good as it can be. It certainly can be exciting if things kick off, but the thought is always at the back of your mind on how much bigger it would be on Money Train.
Money Cart 3 feels sort of like asking your mum for ice cream before she shuts you down with ‘we have choc ices at home’. It’s never going to be that sweet Solero, but it’ll do.
