Bullshark Games is a smaller studio, as part of Hacksaw Gaming’s OpenRGS platform. With an abundance of innovative titles under their belt, Bullshark Games appeared on our radar upon the release of Junkyard Kings, which still remains a favourite of ours.
Since then, Bullshark Games has gone on to release a great selection of slots, including Age of Seth, Culinary Clash, & Gem Ghosts, to name a few. What we’ve come to appreciate from a Bullshark Games release is the quirky and unusual themes they possess.
The ‘ride or die’ biker theme is not overly uncommon, but when paired with an interesting backstory of a newspaper delivery service, it becomes quite unique. However, has Bullshark Games rustled up something unique during gameplay? Let’s find out…
Base Game & Features
Paper Biker is a high volatility slot release from Bullshark Games, featuring 6 reels, 6 rows, and a Cluster Pays mechanic. Paytable symbols create winning clusters when 5 or more identical symbols land horizontally or vertically adjacent on the grid.
The highest-paying symbol falls to the Helmet, followed by goggles, bandanas, knuckledusters, and A, K, Q, J, & 10 card suits. When a win is evaluated, a fixed payout between 0.1x and 50x your bet is awarded.
Additionally, Wild symbols can appear on all grid positions, substituting for all symbols when completing a winning cluster. After a winning cluster is paid out, it is removed from the grid via an Avalanche Feature. This allows new symbols to drop in and potentially create or enhance wins in a single spin.
Cell Multipliers
Throughout gameplay, each cell position can be assigned a random Multiplier each time a Newspaper Roll symbol hits. When a cell position has a Multiplier attached to it, it will apply its value to any win that passes through it.
If several Ceel Multipliers are part of the same winning cluster, they are added together and applied to the win. During an Avalanche event, each Cell Multiplier remains in position, but the current Multipliers reset.
Alternatively, in Free Spins, each revealed Cell Multiplier will remain active until the end of the feature.
Newspaper Roll
During a game session, Newspaper Roll symbols that land in view will activate 3-10 Cell Multipliers, revealing a random Multiplier depending on the type of Newspaper Roll available:
- White: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x
- Orange: 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x
- Red: 25x, 50x, 75x, 100x
If an active Cell Multiplier is hit with a Newspaper Roll symbol again, its current value will double. Alternatively, when a cell position with a Wild symbol is hit, it is assigned a random Multiplier as mentioned above. Furthermore, 2-6 Wild symbols are added to random cell positions.
The additional Wild symbols can only be added once per Avalanche event, even if the same Wild symbol is hit multiple times. If the highest-paying (Helmet) symbol is activated, its cell position is assigned a random Multiplier.
In addition, one low-paying symbol is chosen at random, while itself and all its instances on the grid are transformed into Helmet symbols. If multiple Helmet symbols are activated, each one will select a different Low-paying symbol to transform into Helmets.
Please note that Newspaper Roll symbols will only activate when there is at least one winning combination on the grid.
Paper Biker Free Spins
The Daily Delivery Free Spins mode is triggered when 3 or 4 Scatter symbols land in the base game, awarding 8 & 10 Free Spins, respectively.
In this mode, all revealed Cell Multipliers will remain active on the grid until the end of the feature. In addition, each active Cell Multiplier will progressively increase throughout spins.
Finally, each Scatter symbol to land on the grid will award an additional +1 Free Spin.
Special Edition
Alternatively, triggering the Special Edition Free Spins mode requires 5 Scatter symbols to land in the base game, awarding 12 Free Spins.
In this mode, you have a higher chance of activating Cell Multipliers with each Newspaper Roll symbol you land, while each revealed Cell Multiplier will remain active until the end of the feature.
Finally, each Scatter symbol to land on the grid will award a further +1 Free Spin.
Featurespins & Bonus Buy
Players may purchase any of the following Featurespins & Bonus Buy options:

Paper Biker has a maximum win potential of 15,000x your bet. If a single round exceeds this, the current mode ends, and the player returns to the base game with the qualifying amount.
Our Honest Verdict
Bullshark Games are really making waves in the industry as of late. Paper Biker, their upcoming release, and Gem Ghosts before this are prime examples of Bullshark Games’ capabilities, and their allure is hard to ignore.
Never before has a paper delivery service been so radical, and perhaps it never will be again. We can’t say for certain that the publications of this game are not biased and laden with certain articles, but the deliveries are timely, at the very least.
In the base game, Bullshark Games has utilised the Cluster Pays mechanic, which has advanced since it was adapted to several Pragmatic Play releases. Paper Biker brings with it additional features, including Cell Multipliers and multiple Free Spins modes to further its appeal.
The Newspaper Roll is the main feature throughout spins, and the centrepiece of the Free Spins mode, with amplified potential to boost Cell Multipliers. This feature doubles down its effectiveness by transforming Low-paying symbols into High-paying (Helmet) symbols, should one get hit by a flying Newspaper Roll.
In Free Spins, Cell Multipliers remain active until the end of the feature, and its Special Edition option grants players a higher chance of activating them, with the ability to progress their values throughout spins.
In addition, Paper Biker looks good on paper (pun intended), offering an impressive 15,000x max win potential. This figure is far greater than the bulk of slots from other developers, while gameplay is just as compelling, so overall, it’s quite an attractive package.
