Base Game & Features
Sugar Park is the latest medium volatility slot from NowNow Gaming, featuring 6 reels, 6 rows, and a Cluster Pays mechanic. Winning combinations are expected when 5-25 identical symbols land horizontally or vertically adjacent on the grid.
The 8 paytable symbols are represented by coloured sweets and A, K, Q, & J card suits, awarding fixed payouts between 0.1x and 50x your bet, where applicable. Additional Special symbols include the following:
- Wilds: Appears anywhere on the grid, substituting for all paytable symbols
- Scatters: Appears in the base game only and is responsible for triggering the Free Spins mode
- Sugar Swirls: Appears in both the base game and Free Spins mode.
Lastly, winning clusters are removed from the grid, creating additional space for new symbols to appear from above, via an Avalanche Feature. This enables players to create further winning clusters for bigger payouts within the same spin.
Incremental Multiplier
During gameplay, each spin begins with a Global Multiplier of x1. Each time an avalanche event occurs, the Multiplier increases by +x1, which applies to all winninng clusters for that spin. After this, the Global Multiplier resets to x1 for the next spin.
Sweet Surge
To the right of the main grid is a special Meter, divided into 5 Sections. After each avalanche event, the meter is filled by 1 section. Once all 5 sections are filled, and no further wins occur, the Sweet Surge festure triggers.
Once active, 1 or more Giant Wilds in a size 2×2 are positioned on the grid. After this, the Meter will begin to fill again, with the first section being filled by the guaranteed win from the Giant Wild.
Sugar Swirl
Whenever a Sugar Swirl symbol appears on the grid, it will activate 1-2 Features once all avalanche events are settled – these include the following:
- Feature 1: Transforms into a Wild symbol, granting 2 additional Wilds on any two consecutive reels of the same row (3 Wilds in total).
- Feature 2: Transforms into a Wild symbol and selects a random low-paying symbol on the reels, converting all matching instances into Wilds.
If there are no low-paying symbols in view, and no remaining positions to award further Wilds, the Sugar Swirl symbol will only transform itself into a Wild symbol.
Featurespins & Bonus Buy

Our Honest Verdict
If we’re honest, we quite enjoyed the time we spent reviewing Sugar Park – the next release on the cards for Hacksaw Gaming partner, NowNow Gaming. The dreamy candy-infused theme and colourful aesthetics caught our attention in all the right ways, as did the upbeat soundtrack and effects.
After throwing punches in their latest release, Street Knockout, we’re certain that NowNow Gaming have a bright future within the iGaming industry, and not just for their repuation with Hacksaw Gaming.
Sugar Park has a very indulgent base game through its multiple features and mechanics. The Global Multiplier and Avalanche feature ties in beautifully with the Cluster Pays mechanic, granting endless ways to create or enhance wins with higher values during individual spins.
However, our attention is focued on the Sugar Swirl symbol and its ability to deliver 1-2 unique Features. Our only dispute is that the Sugar Swirl symbol is unable to manipulate the Global Multiplier during base game spins.
Another great extension to the game is the fillable Sweet Surge meter, which, once filled, guarantees a number of Giant Wilds to appear on the grid. This feature, in connection with the global multiplier and sugar swirl symbol can lead to some pretty impressive hits, to the tune of 10,000x your bet.
More of the same excitement can be found in the Candy Rush Free Spins mode, only the Global Multiplier remains persistent throughout spins for bigger payouts and potential, overall.
