Pulling off the ultimate heist has become a bit of a hobby for us, especially after aiding and abetting several courageous villains in Midnight Marauder, Heist Guys, and High Street Heist, to name a few.
With 10,000x your bet worth of fortune within our grasp, can we pull off yet another heist and walk away unscathed? Let’s find out.

Base Game & Features
The Vault Chase is the latest super-high variance release from AvatarUX, consisting of 5 reels, 3 rows, and up to 25 fixed pay lines. Wins occur when 3, 4, or 5 matching symbols land on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1.
The game features 10 paytable symbols, including Wilds & Scatters, which represent characters, jewellery, and A, K, Q, & J card suits. Each winning sequence awards a fixed payout between 0.2x and 4x your bet, where applicable.
Furthermore, Wild symbols appear on all reels and substitute for all symbols except Scatters, Key, and Safe symbols, awarding a fixed payout of 1.5x, 3x, and 6x your bet for 3, 4, or 5-of-a-kind. Lastly, Scatter symbols are responsible for triggering the Free Spins mode.

Key & Safe Symbols
During gameplay, special Key symbols with fixed values between 0.2x and 200x your bet are available. When they appear on the reels, they are collected into a special Vault Meter.
Additionally, Safe symbols may randomly appear on any reel during gameplay, in either standard or large size. When a safe symbol appears on the reels, with at least 5 Key symbols, it will trigger the Vault Break Feature.

Once active, each triggering Safe symbol will reveal a Cash Prize as follows:
- Standard Safe: Between 1x and 2,000x your bet
- Large Safe: Between 0x and 5,000x your bet
The triggering Safe symbol will allow players the option to open the safe or collect the accumulated cash prize of all key symbols.

Vault Meter & Boost Feature
The Vault Meter above the reels tracks the progress made from collecting Key symbols. Each time the meter fills, it will advance through multiple Levels, increasing the value of future Safe and Key symbols that appear on the reels.
Furthermore, the Vault Booster is a special symbol that instantly fills the Meter, advancing it to the next available Level. This symbol is only available once per spin, and any Key symbols on the reels will be collected before this symbol activates.
Ante Bet & Bonus Buy
Players outside the UK jurisdiction can purchase any of the following Bonus Buy options:
- Bonus: Awards 10 Free Spins and a high chance of features for 60x your bet
- Bonus Plus: Awards 15 Free Spins and a higher chance of features for 150x your bet
- Bonus Max: Awards 20 Free Spins and the highest chance of features for 400x your bet
Additionally, UK players and other permissible countries can access the Ante Bet feature for an additional 50% of their current bet per spin. Once active, this feature doubles your chance of triggering the Free Spins mode.
The Vault Chase has a maximum win capacity of 10,000x your bet. If a game round exceeds this figure, the current mode will end, and the player returns to the base game with the full amount.

The Vault Chase Free Spins
Triggering the Free Spins mode requires 3, 4, or 5 Scatters to land in the base game, awarding 10, 15, and 20 Free Spins, respectively.
In this round, the game follows the same mechanics and mannerisms found in the base game, only with a higher chance of triggering features. Landing a Scatter symbol awards a further +1 Free Spin.

Our Honest Verdict
We’ll admit, The Vault Chase is a nice change of pace from the usual suspects AvatarUX produce, particularly their ‘PopWins’ series, but it’s a lot less enthusiastic and not quite as sophisticated as we’d hoped.
If you’re a true slots enthusiast with plenty of experience, you’ll be able to spot certain features before you even begin spinning the reels. The meter directly above the reels suggests a collection feature of some sort, which only confirms our hunch when Safe and Key symbols are revealed.
Filling this meter with Key symbols will guarantee an increase in their Cash Prizes, awarded only when a Safe symbol is present in the same spin. Interestingly, players are given the choice of collecting the total Cash Prize or gambling it for a random Cash Prize locked within the available safe symbol.
If you’ve landed yourself a standard Safe symbol, you’re guaranteed a Cash Prize between 1x and 2,000x your bet; however, the Large Safe symbols can award nothing, but the reward is far greater (5,000x your bet). If you’re a sucker for a risky gamble feature, you’ll find this feature particularly appealing, but it’s not to be taken lightly and has its moments of brutality.
During Free Spins, the appearance of Key symbols is far greater, meaning that filling the Vault Meter and accessing additional levels is not difficult. What is difficult is the choice between gambling your current Cash Prize for another via the Vault Break feature.
This is due to the quick progression of Levels, which awards higher Cash Prizes. Is a 500x your bet Cash Prize worth the gamble for 5,000x your bet? It’s certainly a tough call, but it’s ultimately your choice.
In other areas, the game operates a rather safe maths model. The slightly lower RTP of 95.98% and super high volatility rating are accompanied by a sizable 10,000x max win potential.
All in all, The Vault Chase utilises a unique variety of statistics and features, revealing AvatarUX’s innovative mindset outside the realm of the ‘PopWins’ mechanic.
