Base Game & Features

Loot Respin

If any special (xWays, xSplit, Scatter, or xSplit Nudge) symbols appear, the Respin phase is retriggered, causing each special symbol to stick. Scatters

Level Awards

Our Verdict

We don’t think the music slaps as hard in the sequel, nor do we think the artwork is as eye-catching as the original. These are small gripes, of which we’re pleased to say are rendered insignificant when you try out the game itself. Nolimit City has made a significant effort to deliver to fans a sequel worthy of its predecessor and the expectations of its fans, and we think they’ve succeeded in this regard.

As before, Nolimit City relies on their xMechanics to give xWays Hoarder 2 the ammunition needed to pack a serious punch. Returning to the sequel are the xWays and xSplit symbols, and the addition of the xSplit nudge, an amalgamation of a feature of the same name and their xNudge mechanic. This serves to split all symbols to its left for each nudge, resulting in significant splits should it land favourably.

The most significant difference between the free spins modes here and in the original is that the middle 4 reel positions will not only collect and lock xWays symbols, but xSplit symbols too. This tweak creates a very interesting dynamic, especially when split symbols align to split each other. The originals essence is still very much alive and well, and its good news if you thought that the max win potential was fairly tame by Nolimit City standards, as the maximum win here is a formidable and very achievable 25,920x the bet.

Overall, xWays Hoarder 2 is a resounding success in our eyes. As a sequel, it lacks the surprising statement that the original made, but it benefits from hype and anticipation. Nolimt City fans and Karen’s fan club will be awaiting this one eagerly.
