xWays Hoarder 2 is here, marking the arrival of a very anticipated fan favourite and the return of the formidable Karen. xWays Hoarder xSplit arrived in 2021 in a world still reeling from the effects of a global pandemic where something as simple as toilet paper became a precious commodity.
Nolimit City’s portrayal of a world in a post-apocalyptic setting was oddly comforting when the world didn’t feel too far removed from its theme offering a darkly humorous take on society’s collective chaos. Now, with xWays Hoarder 2, Nolimit City revisits this gritty, dystopian landscape, showing a world that has not only not moved on, but plunged further into chaos.
Just assume from here on out that if Karen is in the game then the world is not in a good place, but get excited for what that means for you. xWays Hoarder 2 promises to be nothing but explosive, and we can’t wait to try it out.
Base Game & Features
xWays Hoarder 2 is a highly volatile 6-reel Video Slot with 3 rows, 729 ways to win, and bet sizes between £.€0.20 and £.€100 per spin. Other noteworthy attributes include an overall RTP of 96.14% and a generous max win cap of 25,920x your bet.
Wins are calculated when 3-6 matching symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. There are a total of 11 High and Low-paying symbols, with the highest-paying (Karen) symbol awarding payouts between 1x and 5x your bet. Other symbols pay between 0.2x and 3x your bet.
xWays
Special xWays symbols can land on reels 2, 3, 4, and 5 in the base game. When an xWays symbol hits, it will reveal a random high or low-paying symbol. When more than 1 xWays symbol appears, they will reveal the same high or low-paying symbol.
In Raid/Plunder/ Binge Spins/Loot Respins, the size of the xWays symbol can range between 2 and 12. xWays symbols can expand to 2-4, 3-8, and 4-12 for 1, 2, and 3 connected xWays symbols respectively.
xSplit Wilds
xSplit Wild symbols appear on all reels except the first, substituting for all paytable symbols. xSplit Wilds will split all symbols to the left of the same row, causing symbols to double.
If a symbol is split multiple times, it will be displayed with a Multiplier. Please note, that the xSplit Wild does not split Loot symbols. When an xWays symbol is split, the xWays Multiplier is doubled.
xSplit Nudge
xSplit Nudge symbols feature on all reels except the first. When it appears, it lands as a Stacked symbol that nudges and stops just before a special symbol, if any. Each xSplit Nudge position will cause all symbols to the left on the same row to split and double.
Loot Respin
Landing a Loot and Special symbol in the same spin triggers the Loot Respin Feature. During the respin phase, the Loot symbol expands on the first reel, causing it to lock.
If any special (xWays, xSplit, Scatter, or xSplit Nudge) symbols appear, the Respin phase is retriggered, causing each special symbol to stick. When no new special symbols hit, the first reel is unlocked and 1 Final Spin is awarded. Loot symbols may land again once the first reel is unlocked, triggering the feature again.
Nolimit Booster
- xBet: Each spin is 4 times more likely to trigger a Free Spins mode (3x your bet)
- xSplit Nudge: Guarantees at least 1 xSplit Nudge symbol (10x your bet)

Scatters
Scatter symbols can land on all reels except the first. These symbols are not subjected to the xSplit Wild/xSplit Nudge functions. Instead, the Scatter will transform into a Super Scatter.
Raid Spins
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters in the base game triggers Raid Spins, awarding 7, 10, and 13 Free Spins respectively.
During this round, xSplit, xWays, and xSplit Nudge symbols remain sticky for the entire feature. Super Scatters transform themselves and regular paying symbols below them into xSplit symbols.
For every 3rd collected xSplit, xWays, and xSplit Nudge symbol, a new radiation level is acquired. Binge Spins is the final level, with the max number of xSplit, xWays, or xSplit Nudge symbols and only 3 different symbols on the reels.
Level Awards
- Radiation Level 1: Activates when 3 special symbols are collected. The lowest-paying character and object symbol are removed from the reels.
- Radiation Level 2: Activates when 6 special symbols are collected. The second lowest character and object symbol are removed from the reels.
- Radiation Level 3: Activates when 9 special symbols are collected. The third lowest character and object symbol are removed from the reels.
- Radiation Level 4: Activates when 12 special symbols are collected. The fourth lowest character and object symbol are removed from the reels.
Please note, that each new radiation level achieved awards an additional +1 Free Spin.
Plunder Spins
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters, from which at least 1 transforms into a Super Scatter, in the base game triggers Plunder Spins, awarding 7, 10, and 13 Free Spins respectively.
During this round, the position of the Super Scatter and all symbols below it become Sticky xSplit symbols. Radiation levels stay active and upgrade in the same manner as Raid Spins.
Binge Spins
Binge Spins are triggered when Raid and/or Plunder Spins progress to Radiation Level 4. Only the top 2 highest-paying character and object symbols are available to land on the reels.
Our Verdict
We don’t think the music slaps as hard in the sequel, nor do we think the artwork is as eye-catching as the original. These are small gripes, of which we’re pleased to say are rendered insignificant when you try out the game itself. Nolimit City has made a significant effort to deliver to fans a sequel worthy of its predecessor and the expectations of its fans, and we think they’ve succeeded in this regard.
As before, Nolimit City relies on their xMechanics to give xWays Hoarder 2 the ammunition needed to pack a serious punch. Returning to the sequel are the xWays and xSplit symbols, and the addition of the xSplit nudge, an amalgamation of a feature of the same name and their xNudge mechanic. This serves to split all symbols to its left for each nudge, resulting in significant splits should it land favourably.
The most significant difference between the free spins modes here and in the original is that the middle 4 reel positions will not only collect and lock xWays symbols, but xSplit symbols too. This tweak creates a very interesting dynamic, especially when split symbols align to split each other. The originals essence is still very much alive and well, and its good news if you thought that the max win potential was fairly tame by Nolimit City standards, as the maximum win here is a formidable and very achievable 25,920x the bet.
Overall, xWays Hoarder 2 is a resounding success in our eyes. As a sequel, it lacks the surprising statement that the original made, but it benefits from hype and anticipation. Nolimt City fans and Karen’s fan club will be awaiting this one eagerly.
