Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways Theme
Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways is much different in terms of theme to the original Heroes Hunt, but its nice to see the legendary characters have remained the same. First impressions of Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways is good, the layout isnt overly busy and the graphics are quite brilliant.
The backdrop puts us in an old musky castle that is lit only by candlelight, which gives Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways an eery feel to it. The music played throughout gives off that same eery feel but with a slight mysterious tone to it. Certain sound effects can be heard at different times during gameplay which fit nicely with the overall theme.
Fantasma Games has done a terrific job at keeping our interests peaked, leaving no clues whatsoever in the theme about the foe we will be facing in Free Spins. We dont know about you but the suspense is killing us!

The Heroes Hunt Feature
At the start of gameplay you will get to choose one starting hero to unlock and play with, the remaining two heroes will stay locked until 3 experience points have been collected.
To gain experience points that unlock the remaining heroes, you will need to land Chest symbols on reel 6. Once a chest symbol lands, 1 of 4 rewards are given.
- +1 Wizard Experience Point
- +1 Warrior Experience Point
- +1 Archer Experience Point
- 10 Werewolf Free Spins
After the reward is recieved, the chest symbol will then become a blocker symbol.
Each hero has its own unique feature, more on that below.
The Wizard – Explosion Feature
Landing one or more Explosion symbols will activate this feature. The explosion symbol can land on reels 2-5 in the base game once the Wizard symbol is unlocked and during Vampire Free Spins. Each explosion symbol will explode, removing itself, non-winning symbols and blocker symbols in either one or two 2×2 areas adjacent to the explosion or one 3×3 area around the explosion.
After all explosions are complete, a random regular symbol will be chosen to fill the gaps.
The Warrior – Expanding Wild Feature
Landing one or more Expanding Wild symbols will activate this feature. Expanding Wild symbols can only land between reels 2 and 5 in the base game once the Warrior is unlocked and during Vampire Free Spins.
Each expanding wild symbol that lands will expand to cover the entire reel, removing all symbols above and below it. The expanding wild symbol will also spawn 1 random wild to be placed in one position. Once all expanding wild symbols have expanded, each expanding wild symbol gets a random multiplier between x2 and x6.
The Archer – Respin Feature
Landing one or more Respin symbols will activate this feature. The Respin symbols will only appear on reels 2-5 in the base game if the Archer is unlocked and during Vampire Free Spins.
Each Respin symbol will remove itself and 4-9 non-winning regular symbols or blocker symbols. New symbols will then cascade in, creating new opportunities to form a winning combination.
The respin feature also adds a Multiplier if it is activated in the base game or to 1 Free Spin if it is activated during the Vampire Free Spins. The Multiplier starts from 1x and will increase by 1 for each non- respin symbol removed by the respin feature.
The base game Multiplier will not carry over to the Werewolf Free Spins or Vampire Free Spins if activated in the same round.

Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways Our Verdict
Heroes Hunt 2 Megaways isn’t exactly a Megaways in the conventional sense, but neither was Maze Escape Megaways or the original Heroes Hunt.
Big Time Gaming may own the Megaways mechanic, but they don’t exactly own the very idea of ‘ways to win’. A prime example of this would be Temple Tumble Megaways and Templar Tumble by Relax Gaming. The first was labelled as a ‘Megaways Slot’, and the second wasn’t.
The point is, does Heroes Hunt 2 really need to be a Megaways? It probably differs enough from our conventional idea of a Megaways slot that it could be it’s own game.
Anyway, despite sticking a Megaways label where it may not belong, it’s clear to see that Heroes Hunt 2 does well to improve dramatically on the original. There’s plenty of features to keep you going, and the 20,000x win potential does well to evoke excitement among players looking for the big hit.
Overall, if you’re looking for a Megaways slot a little bit different, then Heroes Hunt 2 is perfect as a change of pace, although we’re still firmly of the belief that Fantasma could well have saved themself the trouble of licencing the Megaways Mechanic, because it doesn’t really feel like a Megaways game.
