Rise of Gods: Reckoning Base Game and Features
Rise of Gods: Reckoning is a 5 reel slot with 20 fixed paylines. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbol types from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.
There is plenty of action to be had in the base game, with a Win Multiplier and Wrath of Gods feature to bring some much-needed entertainment to an otherwise boring base game. More on these below.
Win Multiplier
During the base game, when a Full Stack of the same symbol type (including Wilds) fills an entire reel, the Win Multiplier on the right will increase by +1, where winning combinations will Mutliplied by the awarded Multiplier.
The Win Multiplier will automatically reset between base game spins, except when the Free Spins are triggered. The maximum multiplier value that can be reached on the Win Multiplier is x6.
Wrath of Gods
The Wrath of Gods feature can trigger during any random spin in both the base game and Free Spins.
Once active, 2 reels are chosen at random to become Synchronised with any High-paying symbol. This feature may not be the most thrilling we’ve seen, but there is no doubt that it can deliver some very nice big wins if it wants too.
Rise of Gods: Reckoning Free Spins
Landing 3 Scatters on reels 1, 3 and 5, triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 6 Free Spins. During the Free Spins round, landing 1, 2 or 3 Scatters, awards an additional +1, +3 or +6 Free Spins respectively.
Once triggered, the current Win Multiplier will automatically carry over to the Free Spins round. What makes the Win Multiplier even better than the base game version, is that it will increase every time Stacked Symbols land in view, increasing past the base game max Multiplier of x6.
Rise of Gods: Reckoning: Our Verdict
Rise of Gods: Reckoning definitely looks and sounds the part, but is Gameplay actually any good? Given the chance we reckon it could be, but in our opinion, it comes across as a little bit of a slow burner. If it were down to design alone, Rise of Gods: Reckoning would score pretty high but that’s not the case unfortunately.
Don’t get us wrong, Gameplay isn’t that bad, with the Win Multiplier and Wrath of Gods features offering a few cheeky big wins here and there, but are we completely satisfied? That’s for you to decide. The Free Spins round becomes even more dramatic in terms of design, with a very grumpy Cronus finally making an appearance.
There are definitely a few improvements in the Free Spins round, with the Win Multiplier being able to exceed the base game Multiplier of x6, and the Wrath of Gods feature appearing more so here than it does in the base game. Although these are great improvements, we can’t help but feel that there is something missing.
In terms of statistics, Rise of Gods: Reckoning has an above average RTP of 96.20% and a standard maximum win capacity of 5,000x, which is a lot lower than we would have hoped.
All in all, Rise of Gods: Reckoning is a very appealing slot with some exciting features, but it just feels like there is something missing….maybe fun?
