11 Coins of Fire Slot Review 2024
11 Coins of Fire from Microgaming partner All41 Studios continues the legacy left by 9 Masks of Fire with their latest Nordic instalment, 11 Coins of Fire.
It’s almost unbelievable to believe that something so simple started off an era of slots that would follow suit with similar mechanics, albeit different themes.
Is the Scatter Pays mechanic so popular that it warrants such follow ups? or are developers like this ‘flogging a dead horse’, so to speak? All41 Studios themselves has previously released something that sounds extremely similar with their slot, 11 Enchanting Relics.
Opinions on this mechanic will differ depending on what type of player you are, but you can’t deny that it’s not simple and effective.
Let’s check out 11 Coins of Fire to see how it compares to the creations of like minded developers.
11 Coins of Fire Base Game and Features
11 Coins of Fire is a 5 reel slot with 25 fixed paylines. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbol types from left to right, starting from the left-most reel. The minimum bet available here is £/€0.20 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€25 per spin, with a variety of bets in between the two.
In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in 11 Coins of Fire is the Dragon Flag, followed by the Blade and the Helmet. Low paying symbols fall to Spades, Hearts, Clubs and Diamonds. There is also a Wild symbol present, which substitutes for all symbols except Scatters and Gold Coin symbols.
A feature we’ve enjoyed before in 11 Enchanting Relics, the Epic Strike feature is back, along with a Treasure Pick feature that brings to life an otherwise bland base game. More on these below.
Epic Strike
On the left side of the screen, you will come across a list of 11 individual values, which are vital to the Epic Strike feature.
Landing 3 or more Gold Coins in any position on the reels, awards the corresponding Cash Prize from the list. These are as follows.
- 3 Gold Coins – Awards 1x your current bet.
- 4 Gold Coins – Awards 5x your current bet.
- 5 Gold Coins – Awards 15x your current bet.
- 6 Gold Coins – Awards 40x your current bet.
- 7 Gold Coins – Awards 100x your current bet.
- 8 Gold Coins – Awards 500x your current bet.
- 9 Gold Coins – Awards 2,000x your current bet.
- 10 Gold Coins – Awards 5,000x your current bet.
- 11 Gold Coins – Awards 10,000x your current bet.
Treasure Pick Feature
Gold Coin symbols are not only vital in the Epic Strike feature, but they also play an important part in triggering the Treasure Pick feature.
Once active, you will be greeted with 15 Treasure Chests, which need to be opened one at a time. Certain Treasure Chests are equipped with Silver Coins, and others with Gold Coins. This feature will end once a Silver Coin is revealed. The number of Gold Coins revealed during this feature, awards the coressponding Cash Prize on the Epic Strike list.
Please note, the Burning Coin symbol at the bottom of the reel set is for entertainment purposes only, and has no influence in triggering the Treasure Pick feature.
11 Coins of Fire Free Spins
Landing 3 Scatters on reels 2, 3 and 4, triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10 Free Spins.
Once active, a Wheel will decide how many Wild symbols are added to the reels, either 30, 60 or 100 additional Wilds can be awarded, for an increased chance to win. Landing 3 Scatters during the Free Spins round, awards an additional +10 Free Spins.
In addition to this, Gold Coins symbols are also present in this round, which can award one of the corresponding Epic Strike Cash Prizes, depending on the amount of Gold Coins on the reels at any one time.
11 Coins of Fire: Our Verdict
11 Coins of Fire is as good a Scatter Pays slot as any before it, but the question is, is it any better?
The theme and design of this one is certainly superior to 11 Enchanting Relics in our opinion. The Viking theme never really fails to impress, but a slot needs to do more than just that to impress players enough to leave a lasting impression.
In terms of gameplay, 11 Coins of Fire is pretty much what you’d expect if you’re familiar with those alike it. There’s certainly some potential here, but don’t come looking for innovation, because it’s fairly standard. Despite all its similarities, we feel like 11 Coins of Fire does better to grab your attention more than All41’s previous Epic Strike foray, but that could be entirely down to the better visuals.
Potential wise, 11 Coins of Fire is very capable with a maximum win cap of 10,000x.
If you hit this, or even if we hit this, then we’d happily revisit the review to brand is as the best slot ever made, but how many has achieved that maximum win? We’re not aware of any instances where the maximum amount of coins has rolled through for a maximum win in any other slot, but we’re sure there’s a few instances, so dream big and perhaps you’ll be the beneficiary of that huge 10,000x win.
Overall, 11 Coins of Fire is graphically and mechanically sound with dependable features and good potential, but you probably shouldn’t come expecting 11 Coins of Fire to ‘Wow’ you.
