Enchanted Waters Base Game and Features
Enchanted Waters is a 5-reel slot with 1,024 ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
The minimum bet available here is £.€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £.€40 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. This game has a theoretical RTP of 96.00% and a max win cap of 25,000x.
In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Red Fish, followed by the Octopus, Puffer Fish, Jellyfish, and Crab. Low-paying symbols fall to Hearts, Spades, Clubs, and Diamonds. Starfish Wilds appear on reels 2, 3, and 4, substituting for all High and Low-paying symbols.
Golden Bet
Before you can begin spinning, you will be given the option to activate the Golden Bet feature. Choosing to activate this feature will cost an additional 15x your bet. Once active, a guaranteed random Mermaid will land on reel 5.
Respins & Mermaids
Landing 1 or more Mermaid symbols on the fifth reel during the base game will activate a Respin with their features active. Landing additional Mermaid symbols during this feature will award an additional Respin with all collected features active.
- Blue Mermaid – Multiplies all wins by either x2, x3, x5, x10, or x25.
- Green Mermaid – Triggers an Avalanche feature in which winning symbols are destroyed and new symbols fall from above, potentially forming even more winning combinations.
- Red Mermaid – Removes all Low-paying symbols from the reels, leaving only High-paying and special symbols in play.
- Orange Mermaid – Triggers all Wild symbols in view to expand to fill the entire reel they are on upon landing.
Enchanted Waters Free Spins
Landing 3 or more Orb Scatters across the reels during the base game triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10 Free Spins. Alternatively, Mermaid symbols can substitute for Orb Scatters, and entering Free Spins with a Mermaid symbol will access their features on every spin.
During Free Spins, you will be able to land additional Mermaid symbols to be awarded +1 Free Spin, adding their special features to the Free Spins round.
Landing a special ‘Plus One’ symbol on reel 5 during this time will award either an additional Respin during the Respin feature or +1 Free Spin during the Free Spins round.
Enchanted Waters Bonus Buy
Those outside the UK will benefit from a Bonus Buy option. Yggdrasil Gaming has granted players access to 2 Bonus Buy options as follows.
- 10 Free Spins with random Enchantments for a total cost of 200x your bet.
- 10 Free Spins with all Enchantments active for a total cost of 1,000x your bet.
Enchanted Waters: Our Verdict
Enchanted Waters is certainly an enchanting game, if you have a soft spot for such serene settings, but it’s diverse too. It has lots of features that work via the individual mermaids to seriously switch up the Base Game, and we’ll admit that we were quite impressed with its performance.
The respins seemed to trigger quite often, which made for an entertaining Base Game. A dull Base Game can be the death of a slot in many cases, yet Enchanted Waters keeps you engaged throughout.
Yggdrasil cleverly ups the ante in Free Spins to make it rightfully more exciting, and the potential would suggest that Enchanted Waters is one to watch out for. At 25,000x the bet as a maximum win, you’d be hard pressed to find reasons not to at least try Enchanted Waters, even if the fluffiness of its mermaid theme doesn’t appeal to you.
Overall, we think it’s a good offering from Yggdrasil. It’s not quite top-tier, but it’s by no means average, and we’d even go as far as saying that it’s pretty great.
