The word on the street, and by street we mean online, of course, is that Hacksaw Gaming is preparing to release a brand-new slot titled Cloud Princess in October 2024. After doing our fact-checking on this, we can confirm that this game is indeed coming soon to a casino near you.
This is obviously great news for fans of Hacksaw Gaming and it’s also a little bit ironic because there have been plenty of Hacksaw slots over the years that have left players feeling like they’re on cloud nine, but this is the first one to have the word cloud in its title.
By the looks of it, Cloud Princess appears to feature a bit of an anime theme, at least when it comes to the princess herself. With floating pillars in the background and plenty of clouds, of course, this game also gives off a bit of a majestic vibe. Some may go as far as to say it’s almost a bit Heavenly, but we’ll let you be the judge of that.

Taking a deeper dive into the workings of Cloud Princess, this slot is equipped with a total of 6 reels, each of which offers a total of 5 rows. It’s a Scatter Pays title that awards payouts whenever 8 or more of the same symbols appear scattered anywhere on the reels.
In addition to being a scatter pays slot, this game also features Cascading Reels, meaning all winning symbols are removed from the reels and replaced with new symbols for a chance at extra wins on a single spin.
There are a total of 10 paying symbols available in Cloud Princess. The 5 lowest-paying symbols all offer the same payouts of 0.2x bet for matching 8 of the same symbols, up to 50x bet. As for the higher paying symbols, the available payouts start at 1x bet and reach a maximum payout of 400x bet.

While playing Cloud Princess, you’ll notice that all payouts are accumulated above the reels in what Hacksaw Gaming calls the Total Win Bar. This is necessary to help keep track of multiple cascading wins that can occur during a single spin.
Multiplier Symbols
Some key components are Multiplier Symbols which activate at the end of each spin whenever 1 or more are present on the reels, creating at least 1 win.
If more than one multiplier is present, the multipliers are added together before they are applied to the total win. The 3 possible types of multipliers are as follows:
- Normal Multipliers – These multipliers land on the reels with their initial values visible, which increases by 1 with each cascade. The possible initial values are 2x, 3x, or 4x.
- Super Multipliers – These multipliers land on the reels with a question mark symbol and the initial value is only revealed once the multiplier is activated. With super multipliers, the value increases by 2 with each cascade. The possible initial values are 5x, 10x, 15x, or 20x.
- Epic Multipliers – These multipliers land on the reels with their initial values visible, which double with each cascade. The possible initial values are 5x, 10x, 50x, or 100x.

As is the case with most Hacksaw titles, there are multiple bonus buy options available in Cloud Princess, outlined below:
- Bonushunt Featurespins – For a cost of 3x bet, each spin is 5x more likely to trigger a bonus game. The RTP when this feature is active is 96.40% and the volatility is very high.
- Heavenly Featurespins – For a cost of 50x bet, each spin guarantees at least 1 winning combination with at least 1 multiplier symbol. The RTP when this feature is active is 96.31% and the volatility is very high.
- Cloud Surge – For a cost of 100x bet, you’ll be awarded 10 free spins with multiplier symbols. The RTP when this feature is active is 96.29% and it’s highly volatile.
- Divine Boost – For a cost of 200x bet, you’ll be awarded 10 free spins with progressively increasing multipliers. The RTP when this feature is active is 96.41% and the volatility is high.
Free Spins
Triggering Free Spins requires at least 3 Scatter symbols to land anywhere on the reels during a single spin. Once triggered, you’ll begin the bonus round with 10 Free Spins.
During the bonus, all wins from each spin (cascades included) are accumulated in the Total Win Bar above the reels to be paid out upon the completion of each spin. Any multipliers appearing on the reels will be added together and applied to the overall total win at the end of every spin.
You can win additional Free Spins by landing 2 or 3 Scatter symbols, awarding +2 or +4 Free Spins respectively. A further enhancement also exists, known as the Divine Boost, which you can activate by landing 4 Scatter symbols.
With the Divine Boost feature activated, there are progressive Divine Multipliers that will collect all multiplier values that are part of a winning combination before being added to the total win. These multipliers are stored in a special multiplier portal and increase with each subsequent winning spin that contains multiplier symbols.
All subsequently appearing multiplier values will first be added to the portal and the new total will then be added to the Total Win Bar. If there is a winning combination without any multipliers, the divine multiplier will remain inactive. Likewise, if there are multipliers without any winning combinations, they will not be added to the divine multiplier.
Just like in the regular feature, it’s possible to accrue additional Free Spins in Divine Boost by landing 2 or 3 Scatters, awarding +2 or +4 Free Spins respectively.

Our Verdict
For all you Hacksaw Gaming fans out there, it’s safe to say that you’re going to try out Cloud Princess regardless of whether we think you’d like it or not. And that’s perfectly okay because we love when game providers have a loyal cult following like that.
Cloud Princess is most certainly a well-rounded game so we have little doubt that if you try this game, chances are you’re going to like it, but the only word of caution is if you’re not a huge Anime fan it may take you a little while to warm up to this slot.
Aside from that little hiccup though, Cloud Princess is every bit as engaging and lucrative as you’d expect. Hacksaw has rated it as a medium volatility slot game and it boasts an impressive 10,000x maximum bet along with a very reasonable 96.24% RTP.
