Golden Fish Tank Party upgrades its sequel status to a trilogy. The first of the series, Golden Fish Tank, first came to light in 2016, where players were drawn to its diverse gameplay and light-hearted theme. When the Gigablox mechanic first appeared in games, Yggdrasil Gaming saw this as an opportunity to create a sequel in 2021 titled Golden Fish Tank 2 Gigablox.

Golden Fish Tank Party is a highly volatile 6-reel, 4-row Video Slot with 4,096 ways to win and varying bet sizes between £.€0.20 per spin and £.€160 per spin. Other statistics include an overall RTP of 94% and a max win cap of 6,000x your bet.
This game is home to 5 High-paying and 6 Low-paying symbols which produce wins between 0.1x and 6x your bet. Winning combinations are calculated when 2-6 matching symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
Cash and Collector Symbols
During gameplay, special Cash symbols with a value between 0.5x and 20x your bet can appear on all reels.
When a Collect symbol lands on reels 1 or 6, each cash value is consumed and applied to your total win for the round. If both collector symbols hit in the same spin, the values shown on Cash symbols are applied twice.
Multiplier Collection
When only Cash symbols land without a Collect symbol, +1 Point is added to the Multiplier Collection Meter above the main reel set. When the meter reaches 20, the Global Multiplier will increase by +x1 and the meter resets.
This process continues until the Global Multiplier is applied during a Free Spins mode or Cash & Collect feature, after which it resets. When the Multiplier Collection meter is almost full and additional Cash symbols hit, they are added to the meter to complete the collection.

Our Verdict
It’s clear to see that Yggdrasil Gaming has made some promising changes to gameplay but has kept the layout and design in tune with its predecessors, with the exception of higher-quality graphics and a glow-up for fish symbols.
Taking out the staple Pick Feature in favour of 2 Free Spins modes may not go over well with fans of the original, however, there are opportunities to be had in both the Cash Party and Wild Party Free Spins rounds.
In replacement of previous features, Yggdrasil Gaming has opted for a nifty Multiplier Collection meter with no set limit. Each Cash symbol that does not get awarded is added to the meter in increments of +1 Point per symbol.
When the meter reaches max capacity, the Multiplier is increased by +x1. The current Multiplier is then applied during Free Spins and the Cash & Collect function. During testing, we found it challenging to reach a higher Multiplier before the Cash & Collect feature triggered.
Golden Fish Tank Party is a highly volatile slot, combined with an overall RTP of 94% and a max win cap of 6,000x your bet. The RTP is much lower than Golden Fish Tank 2 Gigablox but has a slightly higher max win cap, so you have to take the good with the bad.
