Nailed It! Games is a boutique slots studio with a modest portfolio of titles released in partnership with Games Global. Although their portfolio is small, every game is unique and entertaining, making more and more players take notice these days.
Riptide Fishing is the latest creation from Nailed It! Games, and essentially a sequel to Riptide Pirates with a distinct fishing theme. Interestingly, both titles have an aquatic element, while Riptide Fishing feels a little brighter theme-wise. Given the huge success and popularity of Reel Kingdom’s Big Bass series, there’s a chance that Riptide Fishing will have the same long-lasting effect on players.

Riptide Fishing is a highly volatile 5-reel, 4-row Video Slot with 25 fixed pay lines and betting options between £.€0.20 per spin and £.€40 per spin. Other statistics include an overall RTP of 96.14% and a max win cap of 5,000x your bet.
There are 3 individual symbol levels consisting of Low, Medium, and High-paying. Depending on the symbol type, each winning combination awards a payout between 0.2x and 10x your bet. Wins are calculated when 2-5 matching symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel. Wilds substitute for all symbols except Riptide and Fishing Scatters.
Riptide Wild Stacks
Below each reel, you will find a special Counter that tracks the number of Riptide symbols that appear on each reel. Once a counter is full, a Riptide Wild Stack is added to its respective reel on the next spin. From there, each wild stack will move one reel to the left with each spin.
New riptide wild stacks can be awarded on a reel that is already occupied by another stack. If this happens, a Multiplier is added to that particular stack, increasing by +x1 each time this occurs.
Bonus Booster Meter
In the base game, each Fishing symbol that appears on the reels will generate +1 Point for the Bonus Booster that sits above the reels. Unlocking all 4 Fishermen requires a full Bonus Booster.
When the Fishing Bonus is active, the number of Fishermen will be determined by the progress of the Bonus Booster, with at least 1 Fisherman guaranteed.
Fishing Bonus
Landing 3 Fishing Scatters anywhere in the base game triggers the Fishing Bonus, awarding 3 Lives and at least 1 guaranteed Fisherman symbol. As mentioned above, it is possible to have all 4 Fishermen symbols active.
In this round, each Fisherman has 3 chances to catch Fish symbols. If they do, their total lives reset to 3. If a Small Fish is caught, you will instantly receive the Cash Prize associated with it. However, catching a Goldfish will enable a Bonus Modifier.
If an alternative Fish symbol is caught, it will award one of the following prizes:
- Small Green Fish: 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x your bet
- Blue Super Jackpot Fish: 15x your bet (1 required to win Jackpot)
- Green Major Jackpot Fish: 50x your bet (2 required to win Jackpot)
- Purple Mega Jackpot Fish: 200x your bet (3 required to win Jackpot)
- Orange Max Jackpot Fish: 5,000x your bet (4 required to win Jackpot)
Bonus Modifiers
When a Goldfish symbol is caught, one of the following Modifiers is enabled:
- Treasure: Instant Prize of 10x, 20x, 50x, or 100x your bet
- Prize Booster: A prize of 2x, 3x, 5x, or 10x is added to all Small Fish symbols
- Persistent Prize Booster: A prize between 2x and 5x is added to all Small Fish before each and every turn
- Jackpot Hunter: Guaranteed to cash 1 of each Jackpot Fish symbols
- More Fish: Adds 7+ small fish symbols to the water
- Double: All small fish prizes are doubled

Our Verdict
After enjoying a lot of epic gameplay in Riptide Pirates, we were thrilled to see Nailed It! Games embracing such functions once again in their latest release, Riptide Fishing. The fishing theme is one of the standout differences between the two titles, but the Fishing Bonus also shakes things up a little.
Instead of a Battleship type scenario, we’re met with floating Fish symbols with unique values, waiting to be hooked onto our fishing line. For a high volatility slot, Riptide Fishing also has an attractive RTP of 96.14% and a 5,000x max win cap. Standard 25-pay lines are lined up to match its predecessor, as are all other statistics for that matter.
