Everyone’s favourite secret agent, Max, is back with a brand new mission for 2025. Max has his hands full as he finds himself in dangerous territory, surrounded by biohazardous materials and explosive chemicals.
This series has come a long way since the release of Max Megaways in 2022, which looked more like Thunderbirds than James Bond. In 2023, Big Time Gaming created a second release, harbouring many action-packed game elements.
In Max Megaways 3, you’re graced with a number of changes, including the Megadozer feature. Players have mixed emotions about this particular feature, especially when Danger High Voltage 2 was, to some, tarnished by this very feature.

Base Game & Features
Max Megaways 3 is a highly volatile Video Slot consisting of 6 reels and up to 117,649 ways to win, courtesy of the Megaways mechanic. Wins are calculated when 2-6 matching symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.
This game is home to 4 High-paying and 6 Low-paying symbols. Depending on the win outcome, payouts between 0.1x and 1x your bet are awarded. Each winning combination is subject to removal through a Cascading Reels feature. This creates more chances to win in a single spin.

Megadozer
Above the main reel set is a special Megadozer machine, which delivers a number of Bonus Coins to the reels per spin. When a Gold Coin falls onto the reels, all reel heights are increased, displaying 7 symbols.
Each Silver Coin that falls onto the reels will activate 1 of 4 Bonus Modifiers – these include:
- A win multiplier which increments by +x1

In Free Spins, the revealed Bonuses are only awarded when Bonus Coins are pushed over the edge via the Megadozer. The Win Multiplier begins at x1 and increments by +x1 for each winning cascade.
Our Verdict
When you compare previous titles from any slot series, you usually find sufficient improvements, in both statistics and cosmetics. When comparing Max Megaways 1 & 2 against this one, you’ll notice that the max win cap has dropped slightly.
However, there is one noticeable difference in gameplay and that comes in the form of the Megadozer feature. This feature has worked in a number of Big Time Gaming titles before, but we were less than impressed with its appearance in Danger High Voltage 2.
The Megadozer feature is responsible for the activation of Bonuses during Free Spins and all modifiers throughout the base game. If you’re a fan of this feature, you will find it a welcoming addition to the Max Megaways series, but for the majority of players, it’s a bitter pill to swallow.
