Base Game &Features
Candy Blast is a highly volatile 6-reel Video Slot with a Scatter Pays mechanic, delicious candy symbols, and varying bet sizes between £.€0.10 and £.€100 per spin. Other attributes include an overall RTP of 96.34% and a generous max win cap of 10,000x your bet.
This game has 9 individual symbols, each with varying payouts between 0.3x and 50x your bet. Wins occur when 8 or more matching symbols land anywhere on the reels, regardless of their position. Each winning sequence is subject to removal via an Avalanche Feature. This creates space for new symbols to drop in from above, potentially creating or enhancing winning combinations in a single spin.
Total Multiplier
To the left of the main reel set is a special Total Multiplier, starting at x1. Each time a winning combination is removed, the Total Multiplier will increase to the next Multiplier, doubling in value.
This multiplier applies to all winning combinations, resetting to x1 at the start of a new spin. In the base game, the Total Multiplier can reach a maximum of x2,048.
Multiplier Boost Symbol
When a non-paying Multiplier Boost symbol appears, it will activate with any winning combination. Once active, the Multiplier Boost symbol will increase the Total Multiplier by the number of steps displayed. The Total Multiplier can be boosted by 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 steps.
Extra Life Symbol
In the base game and Free Spins round, an Extra Life symbol is available, activating on a non-winning cascade. Our Verdict
Push Gaming never shy away from a new feature or mechanic, whether it be one we’ve seen before through other software providers or something entirely unique. It’s easy to make the assumption, from a design perspective, that Candy Blast may not harbour many of the exciting elements found in Push Gaming’s previous titles, but that would be a rookie mistake. Beneath its exterior are many promising mechanics and features waiting to be indulged.
In Candy Blast, we’re met with a Total Multiplier feature which shares certain characteristics from Yggdrasil Gaming’s DoubleMax mechanic. Each winning combination bumps the Total Multiplier to the next step, up to a maximum of x2,048. The welcoming addition of the Multiplier Boost symbols aids in the progression of the Total Multiplier by its respective number, making it more likely to achieve higher values.
Through the Extra Life symbol, players will benefit from a clean sweep of the reels, leaving behind the symbol with the most instances. Again, this is another highly rewarding feature that enhances the overall performance of the game, with the ability to create significant wins.
In Free Spins, the Multiplier Strike-Out feature becomes available. This feature causes the last active Total Multiplier to be deleted, but only after 3 consecutive wins have occurred. This enables the quick progression of the Total Multiplier, making the maximum value all the more achievable.
