Our Honest Verdict
After spending time with Donny Dough and the popular Lootlines mechanic, we were surprised to find Danny Dollar devoid of this function. Before judging its entirety, Hacksaw Gaming has always found a way to charm players with new and exciting mechanics. Although Danny Dollar doesn’t follow in the footsteps of its predecessor, it offers distinguishable features and mechanics that separate the two instalments.
The first mechanic to catch our attention is Dollar-Reels. These symbols appear frequently on the reels, but activating them requires them to be part of at least one winning sequence upon expansion. On their own, they are great for creating small wins, but coupled with an active Multiplier can lead to significant big wins.
The other base game feature worth mentioning is Nudge symbols. This symbol has an important role to play when partnering with active Dollar-Reels. Depending on where your Dollar-Reel falls on the reel, having the Nudge symbol present may cause it to activate Multipliers by passing through Wilds, or generally boost the number of wins it is a part of.
The No Bills, No Thrills Free Spins mode is the better option of the two, which includes a Progressive Global Multiplier. Each active Dollar-Reel Multiplier is added to the collective multiplier throughout spins, not only multiplying dollar-reel wins but regular wins, too.
