Base Game & Features
Iron Phoenix is a standard 5-reel, 3-row Video Slot with 20 fixed pay lines. Wins occur when 3-5 matching symbols land from left to right (on adjacent reels), starting from reel 1.
The 10 high and low-paying symbols award fixed payouts between 0.1x and 20x your bet, where applicable. In addition, Wild symbols (represented by Yin & Yang) substitute for all symbols except Phoenix and Scatter symbols.
Phoenix Reel Feature
Special Phoenix symbols appear only on reels 2, 3, and 4 during gameplay. When 3 phoenix symbols appear in a single spin, it instantly triggers the Phoenix Reel Feature.
The Phoenix Reel is displayed above reels 2-4. Once 3 Phoenix symbols hit, the Phoenix Reel will pass through a series of Cash Prizes, Jackpots, and Scatter combinations. The phoenix reel will randomly stop on one of the mentioned prizes, which is applied instantly.

Our Honest Verdict
It feels like only yesterday we tested the durability of Push Gaming’s Henry the Ape slot, and now we’re embracing Asian culture in a blazing new release, Iron Phoenix.
Unlike Henry the Ape, this game takes us back to a classic Jackpot mechanic, which, admittedly, isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. At this time, it seems every new release you stumble upon is laced with this particular mechanic, with some operating higher Jackpot Prizes than others.
What’s interesting in Iron Phoenix is how the Jackpot Prizes are distributed. Instead of needing to collect 3 of the same icons or triggering a Hold & Win feature, Push Gaming has opted for a favourable Phoenix Reel.
The use of the Phoenix Reel is simple and easy to follow. All you need to do is land 3 Phoenix symbols on reels 2-4, and one of the Prizes is guaranteed. However, the torturing part is how the Phoenix Reel spins through its available prizes…very slowly. It may be torturous at times, but it also creates a sense of excitement for its activation.
Alternatively, in Free Spins, you’re met with 3 Phoenix Reels, instead of a singular one. This delivers 3 times the chance of landing Cash/Jackpot Prizes than in the base game.
