Base Game & Features
Tomb of Gold 2 is a mid-high volatility slot with 6 reels and 4,096 ways to win. Wins occur when 3-6 matching symbols land from left to right (on adjacent reels), starting from reel 1.
The 9 high and low-paying symbols, represented by Egyptian Icons and Card Suits (A-10), award fixed payouts between 0.2x and 5x your bet. In addition, Wild symbols substitute for all symbols excluding Coins, Scatters, and Sphinx symbols.
Stack of Gold
During gameplay, when 5 or fewer Coin symbols appear on the reels, they are added to a special Stack of Gold above the main reel set. The size of the gold stack is purely visual and does not represent when it will trigger.
Each time a Coin symbol is collected, it increases the chance of triggering the Jackpot Feature. Once active, 1 of 4 Jackpot Prizes is guaranteed to be awarded. The values of each Jackpot Prize are as follows:
- Mini: 20x your bet
- Minor: 50x your bet
- Major: 100x your bet
- Grand: 1,000x your bet
Lock’n Gold
When 4-5 Coin symbols land on the reels, the ones without Coin symbols will Respin via a Second Chance Feature. Triggering the Lock’n Gold Feature requires 6 or more Coins symbols to hit, awarding 3 Respins.
During this round, all Coin symbols will stick to their positions for the remainder of the feature, resetting the Respins meter to 3. Filling the entire grid with Coin symbols will award an additional 500x your bet, regardless of Coin values.
The feature ends when the entire grid is filled or the Respins meter drops to 0. Once complete, the total value of all Coin symbols is revealed and applied to your total win for the round.

Landing 3-6 Sphinx Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins Wheel. The Wheel consists of 2 individual sections: Free Spins and Multipliers.
Depending on how many Scatters land, the number of Free Spins will vary in the following ways:

Our Honest Verdict
With so much time having passed since the release of Tomb of Gold, we had to give ourselves a little refresher to compare the two. What we found is that there are a handful of positive attributes following this release, so let’s begin.
To begin, Tomb of Gold 2 has brighter aesthetics (and a lot more Gold), all while maintaining the generic Egyptian theme. Another interesting addition is the fixed Jackpots Prizes worth up to 1,000x your bet.
Alternatively, some similarities can be found within the Free Spins mode, primarily via the wheel and global multiplier. However, this wheel eliminates the lower number of spins for the more Scatters you land in the base game, whereas the original offers between 10 and 30 Free Spins as standard per round.
Keeping in tune with the positive changes is a significant leap in max win potential. In 2024, Tomb of Gold offered a solid max win cap of 7,000x your bet, whilst its sibling slot rocks up with an impressive 10,000x max win cap.
All in all, Tomb of Gold 2 certainly appeals to a greater extent than its predecessor, but it’s still missing staple features that make it one-of-a-kind.
