Freedom Eagle Mega X Slot Review
Freedom.
A concept that Americans seem to think they only possess. It’s a core liberty of everyday life for our American friends.
The 4th of July is fast approaching, and Gaming Corps has shown up just in time with a star-spangled offering.
They’re taking a break from their A-Maze-Cades feature seen in Wet and Wild Beavers and Hyena Heist in favour of something simpler, something that would make an American say ‘Hell yeah’ as they shotgun a Coors Light.
The Mighty Eagle is front and centre in Gaming Corps’ latest slot, but the impressive raptor won’t be enough on its own to make an impressive slot; the rest falls to Gaming Corps there.
Gaming Corps aren’t the only ones with a fever for red, white and blue. They’ve got The Ultimate Slot of America by Hacksaw Gaming to contend with, another recent release to showcase the American Might in all its glory.
Does Gaming Corps have what it takes to soar above the competition?

Base Game & Features
Freedom Eagle Mega X is a 5-reel slot with 576 ways to win.
You can form a win by connecting at least 2 of the highest paying symbol, or 3 of any other symbol from left to right, starting from reel 1.
The highest paying symbol is the Eagle, followed by the Statue of Liberty, Liberty Bell and Fireworks.
Low paying symbols are A-10 Card symbols. Payouts range from 5x the bet for the best symbol to 0.10x the bet for the worst.
There is also a wild symbol which substitutes for all except the scatter symbol. This wild appears on reels 2, 3, 4 and 5.

Freedom Eagle
The Freedom Eagle feature may trigger on any spin.
1, 2 or 3 eagles will be stacked on reels 2, 3 and 4.
The stacked eagle will have a multiplier with these possible values: x4, x6, x8 or x10
If 2 reels next to each other contain an eagle stack, then they’ll combine and their respective multipliers will multiply.
If all 3 middle reels contain an eagle stack, then the stacks combine. Their respective multipliers will multiply up to x1000.

Free Spins
Landing 3 scatter symbols awards 12 free spins.
Freedom Eagle Mega X also has a Re-Spin feature, which spins the reels when 2 scatters are collected for a second chance at Free Spins.
During the bonus, the x4 Multiplier is inactive straight away. You can collect more scatters in this mode, which can be collected in one spin or multiple spins.
Collecting 3 will award +6 free spins, and the x6 multiplier becomes inactive.
Collect 3 more, and you’ll be awarded with +3 spins, and the x8 multiplier becomes active, leaving only x10s in play.

Bonus Buy
Freedom Eagle Mega X has a bonus buy for markets allowed to buy them.
The cost of this is 100x the bet.
The RTP shifts slightly when using the bonus buy. If playing the 96.20% variant, the RTP will shift to 96.40%
Our Honest Verdict
You know what Freedom Eagle reminds us of? Hotline 2. It’s a weird connection, and at this point, Hotline 2 is ancient history, but they both share a similar feature: the combining wilds.
Of course, games have done it more recently, like Iron Bank and Wild Hike by Relax Gaming, but Hotline 2 first came to mind.
Freedom Eagle Mega X is a very simple slot. You need only play it for a few minutes, and you understand it perfectly. This simplicity to some will be a welcome feature – not everyone wants overwhelming complexity after all, and though simple, it’s still quite effective.
The bulk of its potential comes, of course, from getting the eagles together with the aforementioned combining wild symbols. Get 2 or 3 of these together, and you could find yourself belting Frank Sinatra’s ‘New York New York’ with impressive enthusiasm. A few bonus rounds without it, and you may find yourself as one of the few heading south for the border. Perhaps Mexican slots will be kinder.
We joke, but we did have a few frustrating bonus rounds and a few extremely exciting ones. We think your impression of the game will rest mostly on your first few bonus rounds, should you care to stay that long.
It doesn’t grip you instantly; it’s more like a game that you give a chance, but it’s certainly more than meets the eye.
Overall, a fair instalment from Gaming Corps. Not a flagship release, but like the American people, something that they can be proud of.
