Wild Streak Gaming has developed quite the reputation since their Big Juan slot release in November 2021. We’ll be honest, we weren’t feeling overly confident when we first came across Wild Sreak Gaming and their mixed bag of slots but since the release of Gold Party and Queenie, our opinions have since changed.

Switching things up a bit, Wild Streak Gaming has chosen a Sci-fi theme involving funky-looking aliens and gadgets. The Sci-fi theme isnt particularly uncommon in slots but it definitely makes a nice change from Egyptians and the Wild West. Wild Streak Gaming may use similiar mechanics in their slots but we love that they shake things up a bit in the theme department.

Cosmic Cash Base Game and Features

Cosmic Cash is a 5 reel slot with 40 fixed paylines. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbol types from left to right, starting from the left-most reel. The minimum bet available here is £/€0.40 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€200 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Cosmic Cash is the Green Alien, followed by the Spacewoman, Brown Alien, Yellow Alien, Rocket and Blaster. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten and Nine. There is also a Wild symbol present, which substitutes for all symbols except Scatters and Money symbols.

Comsic Cash does not have the most exciting base game which happens to be lacking in any kind of Features. The good news is that there is a Free Spins and a seperate Respins round up for grabs that can both deliver some pretty nice hits when they want to.

Cosmic Cash Respins Feature

Landing 6 or more Money symbols in any position on the reels triggers the Cosmic Respins feature, awarding 3 Respins.

Once active, the original reels are replaced with Special Reels that contain only Money symbols and Blanks. Once the Respins round begins, the initial 6+ Money symbols that triggered the feature will move to the right of the screen in landscape mode or bottom of the screen in portrait mode.

Each time a new Money symbol lands in view, it will join the others on its reel and will remain there for the duration of Respins. Once a Money symbol lands the Respins Counter will be reset back to 3 and the UFO will open up an extra space in its direction, extending the number of possible positions on the reels, up to a maximum of 2 per reel. 

On the left or top of the reel set depending on which way up you have it, next to each reel is a UFO with individual Prizes that can be won through this feature.

• Direct Money – Awards a random Cash Prize between 10x and 250x your bet.
• Free Spins – Awards a random number of Free Spins between 10 and 100. If Free Spins are awarded, they will begin at the end of the Cosmic Respins feature.
• Multiplier – Awards a Multiplier between x2 and x50 that will be applied to all current Money symbols under the awarded UFO at the end of the feature.
• Mini – Awards a Jackpot Prize of 20x your current bet.
• Minor – Awards a Jackpot Prize of 50x your current bet.
• Major – Awards a Jackpot Prize of 250x your current bet.
• Grand – Awards a Jackpot Prize of 2,500x your current bet.

In order to get your hands on the individual Prizes at the end of the reels, you will need to fill all reel positions with Money symbols. When no more Respins are available, all Prizes will be awarded.

Cosmic Cash Free Spins

Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters in any position on the reels triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10, 20 and 50 Free Spins, plus 2x, 10x and 100x your current bet. The Free Spins round can also be triggered through the Cosmic Respins round.

During Free Spins, Wild symbols will now appear more frequently and fully stacked on reels 2,3 and 4. Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters in any position awards an additional +10, +20 and +50 Free Spins respectively.

If the maximum win capacity of 2,650x is reached, the Free Spins round will come to an end and all remaining Free Spins will be forfeited.

The Cosmic Respins feature can be purchased for a generous 100x your current bet. The RTP when purchasing Free Spins increases slightly from 96.56% to 96.58%.

Cosmic Cash: Our Verdict

When you look at Cosmic Cash you might be taken aback by lacklustre graphics, and it may even be enough to put you off.

Big Juan was similar, yet despite our critique, we were sort of proven wrong. Is Cosmic Cash another dark horse? Perhaps. There’s definitely potential to be had here, but we wouldn’t say it’s ‘out of this world’ despite the theme.

The Grand Jackpot prize suggests differently of course as it’s dangled in front of you like a carrot on a stick, but let’s not forget that the maximum potential here is almost half of that as normal Pragmatic titles, which were looking a bit low anyway considering the trajectory of modern day slots.

Overall, Cosmic Cash looks, feels and sounds quite unappealing when you first see it, but perhaps like Big Juan it can prove us wrong with consistently solid wins when it does arrive.
