If there’s one mechanic that stands out above all else, it’s Big Time Gaming’s Megaways mechanic and the idea of activating up to 117,649 ways to win in a single spin. Since the Megaways mechanic came to light, we’ve seen our fair share of slots make use of it, but has Netent pulled it off in Jelly Belly?

Jelly Belly Megaways is a wobbly wonderland bursting with pastel colours and adorable-looking Jelly symbols. On the outside, Jelly Belly has great appeal, but it felt like something was missing in terms of gameplay.

It’s a good thing really that Netent chose consecutive wins as the only way to trigger Free Spins, considering there’s nothing else in terms of features to keep your mind occupied in the base game. Most Providers tend to recycle the usual Mystery symbols feature in a Megaways slot, and although we sometimes complain about this, it’s a feature we could have really done with in Jelly Belly.

Triggering the Free Spins round is no easy task, although it may seem fairly straight-forward. Three consecutive wins award 3 Free Spins, but reaching anything more than this is a battle in itself.

It seems that triggering Free Spins is only half the battle, unfortunately. During Free Spins, you will need to land further consecutive wins in order to activate an Increasing Multiplier….that just so happens to reset between spins!

All in all, Jelly Belly is a good offering to the ever-expanding list of Megaways slots, but it’s by no means a standout title.
