The Crypt Base Game and Features

The Crypt is a 6-reel Video Slot with up to 46,656 Ways to win. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel.

In terms of symbols, the highest-paying regular symbol here is the Dead Legend with the Red background, followed by the Dead Legends with the Brown, Light Green, Dark Green, Blue, and Purple Backgrounds. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack, Ten, and Nine.

The Crypt: Resurrection Free Spins

Landing 3 or more Moon Scatters across the reels in the base game triggers the Resurrection Free Spins round, awarding 10 Free Spins. Any additional Scatters after the 3rd will award an extra +3 Free Spins.

Once active, a minimum of 1 xWays symbol is guaranteed for each initial Cascade in the Free Spins round. During Free Spins, every 4th winning Cascade will transform 1 of 5 Dead Legend symbols into Wilds for the rest of Free Spins, awarding an additional +2 Free Spins.

The Crypt: Our Verdict

The Crypt is arguably a distasteful piece of work from Nolimit City, but we love it. In a surprising turn of events, we found the Crypt to be similar in some ways to an earlier release, Dragon Tribe.

Dragon Tribe is fairly old, and it was a part of Nolimit City’s history where doom, gloom and controversy weren’t commonplace in their catalogue. Along the way, Nolimit City found a way to live by their own name, making a name for themselves in the process. To draw comparisons between the two games is strange even for us, but there are similarities that can’t be ignored, even if the personalities of the two are polar opposites.

To confirm our suspicions about the relation comes the maximum win, which is 27,000x, making it identical to Dragon Tribe.

Something that makes The Crypt so appealing is the momentum that ramps up as you get going. Turning high-paying symbols into Wilds makes wins more possible, which in turn makes turning more symbols into Wilds more possible. This continues until all high paying symbols are wilds, and the carnage that can ensue is nothing short of exhilarating.

There’s something euphoric about watching symbols exploding everywhere before new symbols drop in and it happens all over again. Throw in multipliers, xWays and xNudge features on top of it, and it turns into an absolute monster.
