Mount Magmas Betting and Symbols

Mount Magmas has a variety of betting options for players to choose from. For those who prefer a lower stake, the minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 per spin. For those who prefer a higher stake, the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.

The highest paying regular symbol in Mount Magmas is the Pink Crystal with the Red background, this is closely followed by the Orange Crystal and the Purple Crystal. Medium paying symbols fall to the Green, Light Blue and Navy Crystals. Lower paying symbols happen to be the least attractive symbols on the reels, which falls to the Large Nugget, Medium Nugget and two Smaller Nuggets which all seem to share the same colouring.

Wild symbols substitute for all other symbols except the Magma Rock symbol.

Mount Magmas Base Game and Features

Mount Magmas is a 5 reel slot with 20 fixed paylines. In order to form a win you will need to connect 2 or more of the Highest paying symbols or 3 or more of the Medium and Lower paying symbols from left to right, starting from the left most reel.

Push Gaming are never usually one to disappoint when it comes to thier slots and the impressive features they bring to the table. The base game in Mount Magmas has a sufficient Magma Rock feature, this is definitely not the feature we were hoping for but it’s a lot better than the alternative, which is nothing.

Magma Rock Feature

During any random spin in the base game, a Magma Rock can land on the reels.

When this happens, the Magma Rock will take off and head towards the Volcano in the background. The Magma Rock will then crash inside the Volcano and be collected, which increases the chance of the Volcano Bonus being triggered.

When a Magma Rock takes off in the direction of the Volcano, it will automatically leave a Wild symbol in its place on the reel.

Mount Magmas Volcano Bonus

The only way it’s possible to trigger the Volcano Bonus is with the help of the Magma Rock. Once this happens you will be greeted with a Magma Spin, this determines the top Instant Prize that will sit at the very top of the Volcano.

In order to get your hands on the Grand Prize, you will need to make your way through 11 rows of Selectable Tiles. Most of the Tiles have an Instant Cash Prize behind it, but there is also a Game Over symbol and an Arrow symbol that will advance you to the next row.

Instant Prize symbols will show a value between 1x and a staggering 50,000x your bet!

When the Arrow symbol is revealed, you will automatically advance to the next row in the Volcano Bonus. Unfortunately, if you pick a Game Over symbol, the Volcano Bonus round comes to an end and all Instant Prizes that were revealed are awarded.

The aim of the game is to reach the top of the Volcano without picking a Game Over symbol, make it all the way to the top of the Volcano and claim the top Instant Prize for yourself.

Mount Magmas Our Verdict

We’re not entirely sure how we feel about Mount Magmas when we compare it to some of the other quality titles that Push Gaming birthed.

Mount Magmas introduced a Jackpot version of the game to the market earlier in 2021, but nobody really saw it anywhere, unless it was exclusive to LeoVegas only. Regardless, this non-jackpot version of the game has formidable potential with 50,000x win capabilities, but it doesn’t really feel like it when Mount Magmas lays dormant.

Dormant Volcanoes aren’t always dormant forever though. If you’re lucky then Mount Magmas will erupt, which creates for some tremendously exciting gameplay.

So why are we apprehensive about it? Perhaps Fire Hopper and older games like Jammin’ Jars are just too good? Maybe there’s nothing inherently wrong with Mount Magmas, but it’s got big shoes to fill? We’ll let you decide for yourselves.

It’s certainly worth a try, and we’ll happily fall on our sword if Mount Magmas turns out to be one of the best Push Gaming releases to date, though we’re pretty confident it won’t be,
