If you’re looking for a friendly face, you’ve come to the wrong part of town my friend. Welcome to a town where an animalistic biker gang known as Outlaws Inc run the show. These rebellious gang members don’t take too kindly to outsiders, so prepare to stare down their fearsome weapons.

If there is one thing we know about Hacksaw Gaming, it’s that they are never one to shy away from innovation. Chaos Crew was the first to get the ball rolling, and since then Hacksaw Gaming titles have flourished, and we are certain the theme plays an important part in that. Cute and cuddly themes have since taken a backseat, with Hacksaw Gaming embracing their darkside, delivering titles like Hand of Anubis, Gladiator Legends and Itero EchoSpins, but does Outlaws Inc fit into this catergory?

Looking into Outlaws Inc more closely, the background shows a dark and deserted alley, with tons of graffiti and rows of bins, which is not exactly what we had in mind for a biker gang theme. On the flip side though, each high and low paying symbol represents either a gang member or a weapon, which fits nicely with the theme, inlcuding the Rock ‘n’ Roll soundtrack that can be heard.

The theme isn’t quite ‘Sons of Anarchy’ material, but we’re hoping Hacksaw Gaming will make up for this in Gameplay.

Outlaws Inc Base Game and Features

Outlaws Inc is a 5 reel slot with 26 fixed paylines. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 3 or more of the same symbol types from left to right, starting from the left-most reel. The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of others in between the two.

In terms of symbols, all High-paying symbols fall to 4 individual Animal Gang Members. The Bulldog symbol has the highest pay value, followed by another Dog, an Eagle and a Rooster. Low-paying symbols fall to a Grenade, Knives, Knuckleduster and Baseball Bats. There is also a Wild symbol present, which substitutes for all symbols except Scatters and Special symbols.

Global Multiplier

At the top left corner of the reel set, you will come across an idle Multiplier that is covered with tape. During any random spin in the base game, the Global Multiplier can be activated by landing either a Purple Cougar or Green Orc symbol on the reels.

Once active, the Cougar symbol will add its revealed Multiplier Value to the Global Multiplier amount, and the Orc symbol will Multiply the Global Multiplier by its revealed Multiplier Value.

• Purple Cougar – Awards a Multiplier value of either x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, x15, x20, x25x, x50, x75 or x100.
• Green Orc – Awards a Multiplier value of either x2, x3, x4 or x5.

In additon to this, there is also a Gorilla symbol present, which can land at any time in both the base game and Free Spins. When a Gorilla symbol lands, it will actiavte the Global Multiplier, which is then applied to all winning combinations for that particular spin. Once the Global Multiplier is applied to all wins, the value will reset back to x1.

Star Bar

At the other end of the reel set is 3 inactive Star Positions, known as a Star Bar. The Star Bar shows any Extra Spins awarded in the base game, or the remaining number of Free Spins in the bonus round.

When a Star Badge symbol lands in view, it automatically awards between 1 and 3 Stars, that fill the Star Bar. At the end of the base game spin, all awarded Stars are used one at a time, amounting to 1 Free Spin per Star. During this feature, the Global Multiplier is acitve, and will not reset during the Extra Spins.

Outlaws Inc Free Spins

Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters in any position on the reels, automatically triggers the Free Spins round.

• 3 Scatters – Starts the Free Spins round with 3 Stars and a starting Global Multiplier of x1.
• 4 Scatters – Starts the Free Spins round with 4 Stars and a starting Global Multiplier of x5.
• 5 Scatters – Starts the Free Spins round with 5 Stars and a starting Global Multiplier of x10.

During the Free Spins round, the Global Multiplier does not reset between Free Spins and can be progressively increased. Another nice addition to the Free Spins round is special Mystery Boxes. More on these below.

Star and Smile Boxes

At any point during Free Spins, you may come across either a Star or Smile Box, which each reveal other Feature symbols.

The Star Box can contain either a Full or Empty Star symbol. If a full Star symbol is revealed, it will refill the Star Bar with up to 7 Stars. The empty Star symbol is added to the Star Bar, increasing the number of positions to a maximum of 7 Stars.

The Smile Box can reveal either a Cougar, Orc or Gorilla symbol.

Outlaws Inc Bonus Buy

For those outside the UK, you may benefit from a Bonus Buy option.

The Bonus Buy has 3 Options available, these are as follows.

• Option 1 – Starts the Free Spins round with 3 Stars and a x1 Global Multiplier. This option will cost 100x your current bet and has an RTP of 96.33%.
• Option 2 – Starts the Free Spins round with 4 Stars and a x5 Global Multiplier. This option will cost 200x your current bet and has an RTP of 96.33%.

Outlaws Inc: Our Verdict

Well what can we say, Hacksaw Gaming has hit the nail on the head once again! The title Outlaws Inc draws your mind to Cowboys, shootouts and the Wild West, but to our surprise Outlaws Inc is more along the lines of Harley-Davidsons, Biker Cuts, topped with a sprinkle of Anarchy.

Outlaws Inc did take our mind back to Chaos Crew in a way with its gritty back alley visuals, but Chaos Crew would be a firm favourite if we had to choose between them.

Outlaws Inc certainly has that classic touch of Hacksaw quality, but is it just for bonus buy players? Hacksaw Gaming slots are notoriously in favour of Bonus Buys, and it certainly feel like you’re missing out if you’re from the UK. 5 Scattersa for 5 stars and a global 10x multiplier certainly won’t be seen much by those of us in the UK, Outlaws Inc is still a promising slot.

When testing, there were some exciting moments even with the standard bonus, and once again, Outlaws Inc is another of Hacksaw Gaming’s slots to be statistically appealing too.

Overall, Outlaws Inc is quite the statement piece from Hacksaw Gaming yet again, but will it be a new fan favourite? Time will tell.
