3 Adventures of Alice Hold & Win Slot Review
Alice has fallen into more slots than almost any other story, and most of those games are content to borrow the costumes and stop there. 3 Adventures of Alice Hold & Win does something rarer: it puts its entire payout behind one tea table and asks the reels to merely serve it. Nine modest paylines and small symbol wins feel almost incidental, because everything a session is working towards sits in that party at the bottom of the hole.
It’s a 5×3 grid with 9 ways to win, running at 96.26% RTP. Hacksaw Gaming have run this collecting format before in 3 Cursed Chests: Hold & Win and 3 Magic Piggy Banks Hold & Win, and Alice joins a family that also includes The Jade Path Hold & Win. Down here, the tea doesn’t get cold; it compounds.
Base Game & Features
Wins pay on nine predefined lines, running left to right from the leftmost reel, and only the highest combination on each line counts. It’s a traditional setup for a game whose real interest sits in the bonus.
The symbol pays reflect that: modest, with a clear gap between the premium row and everything else. Each of the five picture symbols appears twice, in a premium and a low-tier version. Pays are multiples of the bet, shown here for three, four and five of a kind:
- Red Heart Crown (premium): 2.5x / 5x / 10x
- Orange Bag or Locket (premium): 2x / 4x / 8x
- Purple Hat (premium): 1.5x / 3x / 6x
- Green Cup and Blue Cupcake (premium): 0.5x / 1x / 2.5x
- All five symbols in their low-tier versions: 0.2x / 0.5x / 1x
A wild substitutes for every symbol in the paytable, and it appears in the base game only.
Teapots and Teacups
The base game’s one job is collecting. Red, green and blue Teapot scatter symbols land outside the grid, and when one arrives, any matching Teacup symbols on the reels become sticky and are carried into the bonus. Only one Teacup of each colour can sit on the grid at a time.
Land all three Teacups at once and the bonus activates. Between Teapot landings, the base game is nine lines of small change and patience; the tea service is what you’re here for.
3 Adventures of Alice Hold & Win Tea Party Bonus
How the Tea Party Works
The Tea Party is a hold & win round with three refilling lives, displayed outside the grid. Three lives means three free spins. During the bonus, only Coin, Jackpot, Teacup and Dead symbols can land, and Dead symbols pay nothing.
Every time a Coin, Jackpot or Teacup symbol lands, lives and free spins refill to three. The round ends when all lives are consumed. It’s a simple loop, and the tension comes entirely from what lands in it.
Coins and Jackpots
Coins stick to the grid until the bonus ends or they’re collected, and all of them pay as multiples of the bet. The tiers step up hard at the top:
- Bronze Coins: 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x
- Silver Coins: 5x, 6x, 7x, 8x, 9x, 10x
- Gold Coins: 20x, 30x, 40x, 50x
- Diamond Coins: 100x, 150x, 250x, 500x
Jackpot symbols also stick, and they pay out at the end of the bonus based on the current bet. The ladder runs Mini at 25x, Major at 50x, Mega at 250x, and a top jackpot prize of 2,500x.
The maximum win is 2,500x the bet.
The Three Teacups
The Teacups carried in from the base game are where the round earns its depth. The Blue Teacup multiplies one random Coin value by x2 every time lives refill, so the longer the round runs, the fatter its target gets.
The Red Teacup multiplies all Coin values, plus any activated Green Teacups in the 3×3 area around it, when all lives are consumed. Its multipliers run from x2 to x10, and it can’t touch Jackpot values.
The Green Teacup is the cleverest of the three. It activates when lives are consumed for the first time, collects the values of every Coin and Jackpot symbol in its 3×3 area, stores the total, then removes itself and refills the lives.
It banks value and frees grid space in a single move, which is exactly what a hold & win round wants more of.
Full Grid Resolution
Fill the grid with Coin, Jackpot and all three Teacup symbols and the round resolves in order: every activation completes, all values pay out, the Coin and Jackpot symbols are removed before the next spin, and lives refill.
A full grid of Coins, Jackpots, and the Blue and Red Teacups resolves Blue first, then Red, then pays everything out and ends the bonus. The sequencing matters, because Red multiplies what Blue has already boosted.
Bonus Buy, FeatureSpins and BonusHunt
The BUY BONUS button, in the bottom-left of the base-game and play frames, purchases the bonus game directly. FeatureSpins take the other approach: they guarantee certain features for a set cost per spin and stay active until switched off.
The return figures differ slightly by route:
- Buying MINI TEA PARTY: 96.28% RTP
- Buying MEGA TEA PARTY: 96.34% RTP
- BonusHunt Mode active: 96.28% RTP
BonusHunt Mode sits behind its own button outside the grid. It raises the bet multiplier and the chance of reaching the bonus game while it’s on, at the return figure above. Every route lands within a whisker of the default 96.26%, so none of them charges much of a premium for skipping the queue.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.6/10
Playing this is a long walk to a very good table. The reels spin quietly, the teacups collect one by one, and the whole session leans forward waiting for the third colour to land. That deliberate build is the reason to sit down here at all.
The refill loop is the strongest thing in the game. Every sticky symbol resets lives to three, so a good round keeps extending itself, and the Teacup multipliers land on a board that’s already filling up. Value compounds instead of resetting, which is rarer in a hold & win than it sounds.
The weakness is everything above ground. Nine lines of small pays make the wait between parties genuinely thin, and Dead symbols can cut a promising round short before the multipliers ever bite.
It suits collectors, plain and simple: players who enjoy watching a board fill and don’t need the reel game to carry its own weight. Anyone after constant action per spin will find the wait longer than the party. But for the patient, the tea down here is worth the wait.
