3 Pots of Horus Slot Review
Two enormous Anubis statues flank the reels of 3 Pots of Horus, jackal heads in gold-and-blue headdresses staring inward while a waterfall spills into the green water lapping around a ruined temple. All that pageantry is a distraction from the game’s real design: the 40-payline reels underneath are a side show, and everything that matters happens in three coloured pots above the grid, filling one coin at a time.
The maths runs at 96.37% RTP with medium volatility, on a 5×4 grid with 40 fixed paylines and stakes from 0.20 to 12.50. It sits in the Posh Monkey Studios collection alongside 1st Class Express Big Train Bonus and Fishin’ Madness QUADGROWS. The pots are the whole idea here, and they fill one coin at a time.
Base Game & Features
This is a five-reel, four-row slot with 40 fixed paylines. Wins pay left to right from the leftmost reel, and where several combinations land on one line, only the highest counts. Each spin costs a total bet, and line wins are paid against the initial bet, which is the total divided by a payline cost of ten.
Wilds substitute for all symbols except Coins and Collect symbols, so they help complete ordinary line wins but stay out of the feature entirely. That’s their whole job here.
Collect Feature
Coins land on reels one to four, and when a Collect symbol lands on reel five, the total value of every Coin on the reels is paid out. Wins from the feature are added to any base game wins from the same spin. The three coin tiers pay very differently, and the Collect symbol multiplies whatever it collects.
- Bronze Coin: 1x to 5x bet
- Silver Coin: 6x to 15x bet
- Gold Coin: 20x to 50x bet
- Collect symbol multiplier: 1x to 5x, applied to the combined value of all Coins on the reels
A full grid of Gold Coins behind a 5x Collect is the top of what the feature pays. A single Gold Coin is worth as much as the best Bronze Collect on its own.
Between Collect triggers, ordinary line wins keep the reels ticking over at a hit frequency of 27.19%, meaning a little better than one spin in four returns something. Autoplay is available in the base game with spin, win-limit and loss-limit settings. Quickspin resolves each round faster without changing the outcome.
Posh Spins
Posh Spins is a boost toggled in the base game that raises the total bet by 50% in exchange for more win potential. Payout values themselves are unaffected. What the extra outlay buys is straightforward.
- More Coins appear in the base game
- Silver and Gold Coins show up more frequently
- The chance of triggering the Bronze, Silver or Gold Bonus Game increases
- Total bet increased by 50%
The return sits at 96.34% with Posh Spins enabled, a fraction below the standard 96.37%. The boost changes what lands on the reels, not what anything pays.
3 Pots of Horus Bonus Games & Jackpots
The Three Pots
Every Coin that lands collects into the pot of the same colour above the reels: Bronze Coins to the bronze pot, Silver to silver, Gold to gold. Each time a coin is collected, there’s a chance the Bonus Game triggers. Three separate bonus games exist, one per colour, and each is played with its own coloured coins.
The colour matters because it fixes the coin values in play. A Bronze bonus pays in 1x-5x increments, while a Gold bonus fills with 20x-50x coins. The gold pot is the one worth waiting for.
Inside the Bonus Game
Bonus spins run with four symbol types in play. The round starts with a 1x multiplier applied to the total value of Coins, and Anubis Multiplier symbols each carry 1x to 5x, added to the running total. Anubis symbols are removed on the following spin, so the multiplier stack builds and thins as the round progresses.
- Coins: carry their tier values and count towards the jackpots
- Anubis Multiplier: adds 1x to 5x to the Bonus game multiplier, removed next spin
- Bastet Extra Spin: increases the spin reset value by 1, removed next spin
- Mystery symbol: reveals Anubis, Bastet or a Coin when it lands
Every spin can extend the round, raise the multiplier, or drop another coin towards a jackpot. Bastet keeps the round alive, Anubis makes the eventual tally worth more, and the Mystery symbol can deliver either at once.
Jackpots: Mini, Major and Grand
Fill the reels with Coins in any bonus game and a jackpot lands. The thresholds are fixed, and only the highest reached is paid.
- Mini Jackpot: 10 Coins, pays 10x bet
- Major Jackpot: 15 Coins, pays 50x bet
- Grand Jackpot: 20 Coins, pays 20,000x bet
The Bonus game multiplier doesn’t apply to jackpot awards, and Posh Spins doesn’t affect them either. Jackpots are added to the total bonus award rather than replacing it, so a 15-Coin round still keeps the coin values it collected along the way.
There’s no overall maximum win figure for this one. The Grand Jackpot’s 20,000x is the largest single award on the board, and nothing beyond it is promised.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing 3 Pots of Horus means watching pots more than reels. Line wins come often enough to keep the balance breathing, but the sessions that matter are the ones where the coins keep arriving and a bonus round opens: that’s the reason to sit down at this temple, and it’s a better one than the Egyptian dressing suggests.
The best thing about it is that a bonus round never closes the door. Spins reset, multipliers keep climbing, and a jackpot lands on top of what you’ve already collected rather than instead of it. The weakness is the ladder itself: five extra Coins buys a fortyfold jump from Major to Grand, and everything below the Grand pays amounts you’ll forget by the next session.
If you like counting towards something fixed, at stakes that stay modest, this is a genuinely satisfying way to do it. If you want free-spin spectacle or the room to raise the bet when it matters, the water here runs calm. Patient coin collectors, though, will feel right at home among the statues.
