7 & Crystals Slot Review
A night sky of deep indigo and violet, scattered with twinkling star specks, with a soft cyan glow tracing the edges of the reel window: that’s the world 7 & Crystals puts you in. Amusnet has dressed a very traditional three-reel format in that sparkle, and the pairing works better than it has any right to. This is a 3×3 grid with five fixed paylines, low volatility, and a four-level progressive ladder waiting in the Jackpot Cards feature.
It sits in familiar company on the studio’s classic-slot shelf alongside Clover Super Pot and Hot Deco Super Pot. The crystals do most of the visual work here; the sevens do most of the paying.
Three Reels, Five Lines and Nine Symbols
7 & Crystals is a 3-reel, 5-line fixed game with nine symbols, and all winning combinations pay left to right. There’s no wild and no scatter in the set; every symbol on the board is a plain payer, which keeps things exactly as simple as the format suggests.
The paytable is a flat ladder, and every value below is a multiple of the total bet:
- 7 – 60x the total bet for three
- Purple Diamond – 40x for three
- Star – 20x for three
- Gold Coins and Pink Crystals – 16x each for three
- Orange Crystals, Green Crystals, Purple Crystal and Blue Pyramid – 8x each for three
The gap between the top and bottom of that ladder is steep for a three-reel game. Three sevens pay sixty times the bet; three of the low crystals pay eight. Everything in between clusters close to the bottom, so most winning lines are small ones.
Nine symbols across a nine-position grid means the board fills with familiar faces very quickly. The four low crystals share a single pay value, so roughly half the symbol set returns the same 8x for a triple – which is why low-symbol lines feel like the game’s default outcome rather than its exception.
With five fixed lines on a 3×3 board, and all winning combinations paid left to right, it’s a layout that leaves little room for near misses, and the low volatility keeps the small pays ticking over.
Jackpot Cards
How It Triggers
Jackpot Cards can trigger at random once a game finishes and any winnings are collected. When it fires, you’re guaranteed one of its four levels – there’s no way to enter the round and leave empty. It plays on top of the base game rather than ending it.
The Four Levels
Each level is illustrated by a card suit, with its current value displayed alongside:
- Clubs – first level, the lowest value
- Diamonds – second level
- Hearts – third level
- Spades – fourth and highest level
Contributions to each level are calculated as a percentage of your bet, with nothing deducted from the stake itself. Every level is winnable at random each time the round triggers, regardless of which suit came up before.
The Pick Field
Once triggered, you’re taken to a field of 12 face-down cards and pick them one at a time until three matching suits are revealed. The suit you match decides the level awarded, and the amount won is whatever that level had accumulated at the moment the third matching card turned over. It’s added to your balance automatically.
Qualifying bets run from 5.00 to 50,000.00 per spin. If autoplay is running when the round hits, it pauses automatically and picks up where it left off once the cards are done, continuing until the set number of spins completes or you stop it manually. Winnings from Jackpot Cards can’t be carried into the Gamble round.
When a jackpot drops, every player currently in the feature sees a notification on their screen. The round also supports recovery after a disconnection, so an interrupted pick doesn’t cost you the result. A slow connection can show outdated award values, so the number you see at the moment of the trigger isn’t always the number that lands.
The Gamble Round
Only the smaller wins qualify for the Gamble round; anything above the limit is paid straight to the balance. Press the Gamble button and choose red or black: guess the colour of the next card correctly and the gamble amount doubles; guess wrong and it’s lost, ending the game.
The Gamble screen tracks how many attempts are left, the amount you’re staking on the guess, and what a correct call would return. A correct guess doesn’t end the round either – a new face-down card appears and flashes red and black, and you can keep doubling until you miss or bank out. Each revealed card moves up the screen and joins the history row.
That doubling is compounding, not additive. A win gambled and guessed correctly twice is worth four times its starting value, three correct calls make it eight times, and one wrong colour takes all of it back to zero. Given the size of the wins that qualify, a couple of correct calls is the realistic ceiling for a session.
The last five cards of the session sit in that history row, though the sequence is random – previous results tell you nothing about the next card. It’s a streak mechanic wrapped in a coin flip, and it’s the only place in the game where a small win can be pushed into something bigger.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.9/10
Played as intended, 7 & Crystals is a slow, steady classic: three reels, five lines, and small wins that arrive often enough to keep the balance breathing. Three sevens pay 60x and nothing in the base game pays more, so the ceiling is low and the game doesn’t hide it.
Jackpot Cards is the reason to be here. A random trigger, a guaranteed level and a pick field of twelve cards give the game a moment of theatre the reels themselves never quite manage, and because autoplay pauses for it, you won’t miss it when it comes.
The Gamble round stretches small wins further than the paytable ever will, but with the top symbol capped at 60x, nobody’s coming here for a big multiplier. This one suits players who enjoy classic three-reel slots with a jackpot ticking along in the background: steady spins, modest stakes and the occasional card pick to break them up. If the crystals catch your eye, the game behind them holds up its end.
