Alpha Eagle Slot Demo Gameplay
Alpha Eagle Slot Review 2024
We’re heading to the home of the mighty eagle in Hacksaw Gaming’s second instalment to their Stack’n’sync collection, Alpha Eagle!
Hacksaw Gaming is taking another stab at their Stack’n’Sync feature and this time we are heading back down the road of another timeless theme where we will take to the sky and fly alongside a powerful brid of prey, the Eagle.
Although we are dealing with a powerful and mighty Eagle, the slot itself comes across quite tame compared to titles such as Hand of Anubis and Gladiator Legends for example, but will gameplay swiftly change our opinion?
The design of Buffalo Stack’n’Sync left a little bit of a bad taste in our mouths at first, but it quickly lived up to our expecatations during gameplay.
Join us as we stand off against the mighty Eagle in a bid to cash in on the 10,000x maximum win capacity!
Alpha Eagle Base Game and Features
Alpha Eagle is a 5 reel slot with 20 fixed paylines. Winning combinations are formed when 3 or more of the same symbols land from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.
The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two. Alpha Eagle has a theoretical RTP of 96.26% and a maximum win capacity of 10,000x.
In terms of symbols, the highest paying symbol in Alpha Eagle is the Eagle, followed by the Owlet, Owl, Fish and Feathers. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten. There is also a Wild symbol present which substitutes for all High and Low-paying symbols.
Stack’n’Sync Feature
During any random spin in the base game, S’N’S symbols can appear in any position on the reels, triggering the Stack’n’Sync feature.
During this feature, the reel in which the S’N’S symbol landed is then copied to up to 4 other reels, forming stacked reels with one instance of any High or Low-paying symbol. Stacked symbols replace all existing symbols on the reels.
A Respin is then awarded, with all stacked reels synced to one another so they stop in the same position. If another S’N’S symbol were to land during this time, an additional Respin is awarded and the Respin will repeat the stacked symbols on any additional reels.
The stacked symbol and its amount is shown on the top right corner of the reel set via Stars. Each filled star represents one quarter of the reels, with reels able to stack a quarter, half, three-quarters of fully. All symbols including Wilds, and Free Spins symbols can also become stacked (excluding the Eagle Claw Bonus symbol).
Golden Stack’n’Sync
Landing a Gold S’N’S symbol randomly on the reels will also activate the Stack’n’Sync feature.
Once active, this symbol guarantees that all 5 reels will become stacked with only High-paying and Wild symbols. In addition to this, the Gold S’N’S symbol also awards a global Multiplier of either x2, x3, x4, x5, x10, x15, x20, x25, x50 or x100 which is applied to any winning combinations from the Respin.
Alpha Eagle Free Spins
Free Spins is triggered by landing a minimum of 3 Scatters during the Stack’n’Sync feature. For every Scatter that lands, +1 Free Spin is awarded, up to a maximum of 20.
During the Free Spins round, the chances of landing regular S’N’S and Gold S’N’S symbols is increased.
Eagle Link
Landing 3 Claw Scatters in any position across the reels, triggers the Eagle Link Bonus round. This round is played out in 2 phases, a Collect phase and a Payout phase during which only Eagle, Golden Eagle and non-paying symbols are in play.
During the Collect phase, all Eagle and Gold Eagle symbols that land in view become Sticky. Each time a new Eagle or Gold Eagle symbol lands, the Respin Meter is reset back to 3. Once the Collect phase is complete, the round transitions into the Payout phase of the Bonus.
All present Gold Eagle symbols activate the Eagle Link feature. The Eagle Link connects to all Eagle symbols that land either Vertically or Horizontally adjacent to a Gold Eagle or another Eagle symbol already connected to the Eagle Link. Any Eagle symbols that are not connected to the Eagle Link are then removed.
During the Payout phase, you will be awarded 3 Respins. Here Gold Eagle symbols remain Sticky and for every new one that lands awards an additional +1 Free Spin. There is also a global Multiplier in play which is applied to all Eagle symbol wins during this round. The Multiplier value is equal to the total number of sticky Gold Eagle symbols on the reels.

Alpha Eagle: Our Verdict
Alpha Eagle does better to establish itself more prominently than Buffalo Stack’n’Sync did.
In all honestly, we weren’t fans of Buffalo Stack’n’Sync all that much. It felt very un-hacksaw in contrast to some of the firey releases seen before it, and in some ways Alpha Eagle feels a little lacking too.
When it comes to aesthetics, Alpha Eagle has everything pretty nailed down. Quality certainly is not an issue when it comes to the look and feel of Alpha Eagle, yet gameplay feels significantly less exciting than other Hacksaw Slots. When testing the game we were fairly impressed with the bonus round features and the Eagle Link, but we’re of the opinion that synced reels are one of the weaker slot features, yet we’ll admit that Hacksaw Gaming does it better than others.
The potential here looks as good as any other Hacksaw Gaming Slot, with up to 10,000x available as a maximum.
Overall, Alpha Eagle was impressive, but its not as impressive as we’d have hoped from the provider that brought us some of the most impressive slots around.
