Amazing Link Pegasus Slot Review
A jackpot slot that refuses to publish its own jackpot values is either confident or evasive, and Amazing Link Pegasus forces you to decide which. Every MINI, MINOR, MAJOR and MEGA prize stays hidden until you’re inside the round.
That’s the deal on offer here: give up knowing the ceiling, and in exchange you get one of the busiest trigger systems in mid-tier slots. The maths underneath is solid: 96% RTP, Medium-High volatility, a 5×3 grid with 20 paylines, and a hit frequency of 29.29%.
Amazing Link Apollo, Amazing Link Athena and Amazing Link Riches have all passed through these pages before, and SpinPlay Games hasn’t rebuilt anything here. Stakes run from 0.20 to 50.00 per spin.
Base Game & Features
The base game is a straightforward 20-line affair. Line wins begin on the leftmost reel and pay left to right on adjacent reels only, and just the highest win is paid per line.
Pays are stated as multiples of your line stake:
- Winged Helmet – 5x for five, 2x for four, 1x for three
- Vase – 4x for five, 1x for four, 0.5x for three
- Scroll – 3x for five, 0.5x for four, 0.3x for three
- Laurel Wreath – 3x for five, 0.5x for four, 0.3x for three
- A, K, Q – 2x for five, 0.4x for four, 0.2x for three
- J, 10, 9 – 1x for five, 0.3x for four, 0.1x for three
On any base game spin that doesn’t trigger the Amazing Link feature or Free Spins, symbols you collect can fire a random feature out of nowhere:
- Collecting Wilds can randomly trigger the Pick Feature
- Collecting Bonus symbols can randomly trigger Free Spins
- Collecting Amazing symbols can randomly trigger the Amazing Link feature
Amazing Link Pegasus Bonus Features & Free Spins
Land six or more Amazing symbols anywhere on the reels and the feature begins.
You’re awarded three respins. All Amazing symbols lock in place, and every new Amazing symbol that lands resets the respin count back to three. Each Amazing symbol carries a cash prize or one of the MINI, MINOR or MAJOR jackpots, with all prizes paid at the end.
The feature ends when the respins run out or every position fills. Cover the whole board and the MEGA jackpot is awarded on top.
What that means in practice: the longer you keep landing symbols, the longer the round runs, and the prize total only ever grows between resets.
A board that fills early is the dream outcome, because every locked symbol pays on top of the MEGA. A board that stalls on its first three respins still pays whatever landed before the feature started.
Free Spins
The scatter route is simpler. Bonus symbols on reels 1, 3 and 5 in the base game award 10 free spins. Bonus symbols can appear on those three reels only, which is worth remembering when you’re watching the middle reel.
On every free spin, one random reel turns into an Amazing Wild Reel, filled entirely with Wild Amazing Pegasus symbols. These substitute for everything except Bonus symbols. Your bet and lines stay identical to the triggering spin.
Free Spins cannot be retriggered. Ten spins is all you get, so the round lives or dies on how the wild reels fall.
Pick Feature
At the end of a base game spin, collected Wild symbols can randomly trigger the Pick Feature, though never on a spin that already awarded Free Spins or the Amazing Link feature.
It’s a matching game: pick icons until you match three to win the corresponding jackpot. Some matching icons carry a 2x, 3x or 5x multiplier, which multiplies that jackpot by the displayed amount. Again, the animation doesn’t influence the outcome.
So all four jackpots are reachable by at least one route: MINI, MINOR and MAJOR through Amazing symbols and the Pick Feature, and the MEGA through a full board in the Amazing Link feature.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.8/10
The trade-off here is unusually clean: you surrender all information about the prizes in exchange for more chances at them. The maximum win is capped at 5,000x, with four jackpots and three separate trigger systems pointing at them. Our view is that it’s a bad trade for a first-time player and a perfectly good one for a series veteran, and that’s really the whole decision.
What it does well is pacing. The random triggers mean a dead-looking spin can still pay into a feature, and a guaranteed wild reel on every free spin does real work. What it does badly is payoff: a flat paytable, no retrigger on free spins, and a Pick Feature that resolves in seconds with no decisions in it.
Pegasus adds nothing, which is the honest difference. If you already like the Amazing Link engine, this is more of it and the maths holds up. If you don’t, nothing here will convert you.
