Bells of Fire

Bells of Fire Slot Review

A brass bell hangs off the logo, tilted mid-swing, a little roundel stamped 777 beside it, and half a gold prize wheel poking in from the right edge with a fireball burning at its hub. On this evidence, three reels are plenty: Snowborn Games have built the rare compact slot where nothing ever fully dies on a spin, because a mechanic is always waiting behind the near-miss. It’s a claim worth arguing with on a 3×3, five-payline grid.

This is a Vegas fruit machine cabinet dressed in flame reds and gold, running at 96.00% RTP on medium volatility, with every symbol stacked and four modifiers passing the ball between them. Stakes run from 0.10 to 100.00, and the maximum win is 2,000x.

Sister titles like Cash Flip Medusa, Massive Gold and Pile ‘Em Up chase the same compact shape. None of them, though, fit this much interlocking machinery into so few positions.

Base Game & Features

Three reels, three rows, five paylines, and everything stacked. Because every symbol including the Scatters can arrive in full stacks, a single spin can go from dead to completely full in a way a five-reel game rarely manages. Wins run left to right from the first reel.

Coinciding wins on different paylines are added together, but if multiple winning combinations land on a single line, only the highest one pays. The same applies per symbol combination: only the best version of a win counts. The total payout for a spin is the sum of all payline wins and Scatter wins.

With only eight paying symbols and one combination length, the paytable is short and steep. Wins are multiplied by the total bet, and payline payouts are based on the initial bet, which is the total bet divided by the five payline cost. Here’s what three of a kind pays, as a multiple of the total bet:

• 7 – 5x
• $ – 3x
• BAR – 2.4x
• Watermelon – 2x
• Orange – 1.2x
• Plum – 1x
• Grapes – 0.8x
• Cherries – 0.4x

Wilds appear on all reels in the base game and the Fire Respin, substitute for everything except Scatters, and can form their own winning combinations. A full reel of wilds next to a stacked symbol is where the bigger line wins come from: three sevens with wild help returns 5x the total bet.

At the bottom of the ladder, three Cherries pays 0.4x. Hit frequency sits at 23.15%, which means roughly one spin in four returns something. Medium volatility rounds out a maths profile built for steady play rather than long famine and sudden feast.

Fire Respin

Land the same symbol fully stacked on two reels, on a spin that formed no winning paylines, and the third reel respins for free. It’s the smallest of the four modifiers and the one that keeps the base game moving: two-thirds of a win is already sitting on screen, and the respin asks whether the rest arrives.

Any line wins or Scatter wins from the respin are paid afterwards. If the respin produces wins on all five paylines, or fills every position with Scatters, the Wheel of Fortune is awarded before the payout. The feature only exists in the base game, so the bonus systems can’t chain off it in other modes.

Bells of Fire Bonus Features

Epic Strike™

3 or more Scatter symbols anywhere on the grid triggers Epic Strike™. The payout depends purely on how many Scatters landed after the spin or respin, on a ladder that runs from 3 to 9 symbols:

• 3 Scatters – 2x bet
• 4 Scatters – 3x bet
• 5 Scatters – 5x bet
• 6 Scatters – 10x bet
• 7 Scatters – 20x bet
• 8 Scatters – 50x bet
• 9 Scatters – 200x bet

With 3 to 8 Scatters, the feature pays the Scatter prize alone. 9 Scatters is the exception: the payout is calculated as 200x the total bet, then multiplied by whatever the Wheel of Fortune awards. On a grid with only nine positions, a full screen of Scatters is possible, and the game treats it as the headline event.

Wheel of Fortune

Win on all five paylines in a single spin, or fill every reel position with Scatters, and the wheel built into the cabinet’s side spins up. It awards one of four multipliers: 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x, applied to the line win or Scatter prize that triggered it.

That’s the whole feature, and it doesn’t need to be more: it exists to make the rarest outcomes bigger. Because the trigger is a win on every payline or a full grid, the wheel only arrives when something substantial has already happened, and the multiplier is upside on top of it.

Bells of Fire Respin

The game’s namesake modifier is the sneaky one. It fires on a non-winning base game spin that carries 1 or 2 Scatters, holding them in place and giving the remaining positions a single respin. The respin always adds at least one more Scatter, so a dead spin with two Scatters becomes a guaranteed shot at the Epic Strike™ ladder.

Prizes are the same Scatter payouts as before, from 2x up to 200x bet. As with Epic Strike™, 3 to 8 Scatters pays the ladder value; a full screen of nine calculates at 200x the total bet multiplied by the Wheel of Fortune multiplier. Two features, one shared ladder, and a respin that chains them together.

That guarantee is what shapes the base game. A spin holding a single Scatter is never fully dead, because the namesake feature can still turn it into a ladder entry. Stack that alongside the Fire Respin and every near-miss on the grid has a mechanic standing behind it.

Our Honest Verdict

Overall Rating: 7.7/10

Playing Bells of Fire feels like tending a fire that keeps catching: spins that should be dead keep flaring back into something. That refusal to let a spin end quietly is the whole reason to choose it, and the glowing cabinet look matches the temperament exactly.

The best thing here is that nothing on the grid is ever idle. Four modifiers on nine positions should trip over each other, and they don’t – each one catches the spin the last one let slip, and the Wheel sits at the top of the chain for the rare nights everything lands. What holds it back is the money: the ladder stops at 2,000x bet, and most sessions will live in the single-digit multiples below that.

So it suits players who enjoy the mechanics themselves – stacked reels, respins, things clicking into place – more than the size of the number at the end. Anyone hunting a four-figure ceiling should look elsewhere. For a warm, busy, old-fashioned cabinet that keeps every spin alive, this one rings true.
