Big Bass Bonanza Slot Demo

Fishing Frenzy fans rejoice and grab your rods because you’re going fishing yet again in Reel Kingdom’s newest game, Big Bass Bonanza Slot.
This New Slot has rather obviously taken inspiration from a formula that has proven one of the most popular games of all times, and it looks like it’s added a few little extras in there to sweeten the deal.

Here’s to hoping the Fisherman in Big Bass Bonanza Slot is a little bit more adept at angling than Mr Fishing Frenzy, who regularly went missing in the bonus and should in hindsight, consider another hobby all together, maybe Crabbing?

Reel Kingdom have teamed up with Pragmatic Play yet again for this one, having previously brought us collaborations in the past such as Return of the Dead and Ultra Burn.

While unoriginal, it’s interesting to see another spin on this style of game but how does it compare?

Catch of the Day in Big Bass Bonanza Slot

Big Bass Bonanza Slot has some very modern graphics and nice visuals. In the background you’ll see a picturesque mountainous region at the top of the screen with an underwater perspective from the bottom.

There’s a catchy and cheery tune to go with it all too, kind of makes you want to go fishing. Fishing Frenzy definitely hasn’t aged well, so it’s nice to see a similar game but with a touch of modernism.

Betting and Symbols

Betting options for Big Bass Bonanza Slot are pretty much as extensive as it gets. The lowest option is £0.10, and the highest option is £250 per spin. With plenty in between the two, there’s definitely enough choice for everyone.

Bets can be customised via coins per line and coin value for those who prefer it, otherwise you can just choose total bet.

The top symbols in Big Bass Bonanza Slot are the Firefly, Fishing Rod, Fishing Float, Tackle Box, and Fish. The fish also hold monetary values, which comes into play during the Free Spins, and low symbols are A, K, Q, J & 10.

The Fisherman Symbol serves both as a Wild and a Collect Symbol, and will only appear in Free Spins.

The Base Game

The base game for Big Bass Bonanza Slot is pretty easy to understand. Reel Kingdom have decided to take more of a classic approach with their payline mechanic, which will resonate well with those who prefer more of an authentic/old school experience.

There are 10 pay lines in total, and all symbols pay from left to right on adjacent reels starting from the leftmost reel.

Some decent wins are technically possible, but for the most part you’ll be spinning away wanting of bonus seeing as there aren’t any Base Game Features to speak of.

Free Spins

To land the bonus in Big Bass Bonanza Slot  you’ll want 3, 4 or 5 Scatters to land which will award 10, 15 or 20 spins respectively.

During the bonus, the monetary value within the Fish Paying Symbols are now obtainable. To get these, you’ll want the Wild Fisherman to land on screen at the same time of any of these symbols, and if he does he’ll collect the total value of all of the Fish currently on screen.

You can land more than one fisherman, and each of them will individually collect a sum total of all fish on screen, increasing your win.

If a Wild appears on screen where no fish are present, then a dynamite may appear which will turn symbols in random positions into fish.

There’s also a progressive multiplier which you can obtain by collecting Wilds. Every fourth Wild collected will award an additional 10 spins, as well as increasing the multiplier. The first available is 2x, the second is 3x, and the final multiplier available for the third re-trigger is 10x.

If you manage to re-trigger, then you’ll first need to play out your remaining spins. The next set of spins and the multiplier that comes with it does not come into effect until the initial spins are played out.

There’s a maximum win of 2,100x in Big Bass Bonanza Slot. If this amount is obtained at any point, then the bonus ends and any remaining Free Spins are forfeit.

Our Verdict

Big Bass Bonanza Slot is essentially a clone of Fishing Frenzy, but it’s a good one. That being said, there is a couple of little intricate differences that make it differ slightly.

Firstly, the dynamite symbol that can turn regular symbols into fish, and the second is the progressive multiplier. These are both exciting features, and watching it climb up to the next multiplier and extra spins makes for a gripping experience.

The Fisherman appears surprisingly frequently, at least compared to Fishing Frenzy, but the game is volatile with a 4/5 rating, so there are definitely some absolute stinker bonus games where you don’t catch anything, and you don’t make it to the next multiplier.

The max win amount is a little low too, while 2,100x is nothing to scoff at, it’s certainly a lot smaller than many other games offer, especially considering the volatility of it.

Overall, Big Bass Bonanza is a charming enough experience, and one that will be new yet familiar to many, but it lacks major excitement and enthralling base game features.

Big Bass Bonanza Slot is available to play on selected desktop and Mobile Casinos on the 14th of December 2020.
