Base Game & Features
Blazing Bison Gold Blitz Ultimate Double X is a 6-reel video slot with a reel configuration of 5-4-4-4-4-5 and 6,400 ways to win. Paytable symbols create winning combinations when 2-6 identical symbols land on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1.
The highest-paying symbol falls to the Bison, followed by 7s, Bells, Horseshoes, Dice, and A, K, Q, J, 10, & 9 card ranks. Once a winning combination has been confirmed, a fixed payout between 0.2x and 4x your bet is awarded.
Other symbols available on the reels include Double X, Cash & Jackpot Prizes, Collector, & Bonus Scatter symbols. Additionally, Wild symbols appear in the base game, substituting for all symbols except Cash, Jackpot, & Collector symbols.
Collect Feature
During gameplay, Cash & Jackpot Prizes can appear on all reels in the base game and Free Spins mode, revealing the following values:
- Cash Prizes: Between 0.5x and 20x your bet
- Jackpot Prizes: Mini (10x), Minor (15x), Major (50x), Mega (250x), Grand (2,500x)
The Collect Feature triggers when a Collect symbol lands on reels 1 and/or 6, along with at least 1 Cash or Jackpot Prize. Once active, the Collect symbol will gather all available Cash/Jackpot Prizes currently in view and apply them to the total win of the spin.
Cash Multiplier
Above the main reel set is a special Multiplier Wheel, starting at x2, as part of the Cash Multiplier Feature. When a Double X symbol hits on reels 2-5, it will increment the current value to the next available Multiplier, up to a maximum of x10 in the base game and x20 in Free Spins.
The Cash Multiplier applies to all Cash Prizes that are collected by a Collect symbol. If the Free Spins mode is not triggered, the Cash Multiplier will reset to x2 once the Collect Feature is completed; however, it cannot during the Free Spins mode.
Respin Feature
Triggering the Respin Feature requires a Collect symbol to appear on reels 1 and/or 6, without landing a Cash or Jackpot Prize in the same spin. Once active, reels 1 & 6 lock, while reels 2-5 spin again to potentially reveal Cash, Jackpot, & Blank symbols.
During this feature, at least 1 Cash or Jackpot Prize is guaranteed to land on the reels, and up to +2 Respins can be awarded for more chances to win. Furthermore, the Cash Multiplier may randomly increase by x2 or x4 at the start of each Respin, or increase to x20 in the final Respin.
Bonus Collect Meter
To the left of the main reel set, above the list of Jackpot Prizes, a special Bonus Collect Meter can be found. Incrementing the Bonus Collect Meter requires 2 Scatter symbols to appear on reels 2, 3, or 4, without triggering the Free Spins mode.
The meter is instantly filled when 3-4 Scatter symbols land in a single base game spin. Once filled, the Free Spins mode is instantly awarded, after which the meter will reset to 5%, 10%, or 15% full when returning to the base game.
Blitz Free Spins Bonus
Landing 3 or 4 Scatters during any base game spin will trigger the Free Spins mode, where one of the following outcomes can be chosen:

Our Honest Verdict
After much anticipation for its release, Blazing Bison Gold Blitz Ultimate Double X is finally here, but how did it compare to others in the ‘Gold Blitz’ collection? Gold Blitz Extreme blew us away with its selection of engaging features & thrilling mechanics, but as we’d hoped, this game tops it by a landslide.
The tongue-twister title takes some getting used to, which players will eventually shorten to save themselves the trouble; however, it represents the multiple features you now face as you spin the reels in anticipation.
First on our list is the Collect Feature, where Cash & Jackpot Prizes are collected and applied to your total win of the current spin. Without the additional Cash Multiplier, this function would fall under the traditional guidelines of such features, but thankfully, Fortune Factory Studios favours anything but ‘ordinary’.
The Cash Multiplier not only increases with each Double X symbol that appears, but it also doubles the Multiplier, up to a maximum of x10 in the base game and x20 in Free Spins. It’s not clear if Jackpot Prizes are subject to the Cash Multiplier, but it’s a rewarding attribute either way.
During testing, we noticed this game absolutely loves to tease the Free Spins, dangling 2 Scatters in front of us like a carrot on a stick, only to fail to award the third Scatter more times than we could count. The good news is that the Bonus Collect Meter guarantees to award the Free Spins mode once it is filled, which is far easier to achieve, it seems, than landing 3 Scatters.
Once the Free Spins mode is triggered, players have the choice between 3 options, each offering a fixed amount of Free Spins & Cash/Jackpot Prizes per reel. As expected, the more Cash/Jackpot Prizes are added to the reels, the fewer Free Spins you’ll receive, but there is the chance to win additional Spins by landing Collect Retrigger & Retrigger symbols.
