Candy POP – Oranje Jackpot Slot Review
Pink icing drips down the top of the reel cabinet in Candy POP – Oranje Jackpot, candy-cane stripes run the height of the frame, and a sweets cart waits in the pastel square behind it. The prettiness is doing a job. This is a game that pays its biggest prizes on a two-reel gamble, and the fairground wrapping makes the long waits easier to sit through.
Pragmatic Play runs it on a 6×4 grid with 4,096 ways to win, high volatility, and stakes from 0.20 to 240.00 per spin, with wins advertised up to 5,000x your bet. It sits in the same Oranje Jackpot line as Lotus Treasure, and for the same sugary look with different maths, Candy Blitz and Candy Stars cover similar ground. Whether the collect loop justifies the jackpot tax on the badge is the question worth asking.
Base Game & Features
Wins are awarded for left to right adjacent symbol combinations across the 4,096 ways, so any run of matching symbols starting from the left reel can pay. The paytable leans hard on the top symbol: a full six-of-a-kind of Hearts returns 5x your stake. Everything below it steps down from there.
Base wins are modest by design, because the real money in this game arrives through the collect system rather than the symbol ladder. Two of the picture symbols, Cupcake and Bottle, share a single pay row, and so do each royal pair, so the ladder is narrower than the symbol count suggests.
Here’s what each symbol pays, as a multiple of your total bet:
- Heart – 2: 1x, 3: 1.5x, 4: 2x, 5: 2.5x, 6: 5x
- Watermelon – 2: 0.5x, 3: 1x, 4: 1.5x, 5: 2x, 6: 2.5x
- Red Jelly Candy – 2: 0.5x, 3: 1x, 4: 1.5x, 5: 2x, 6: 2x
- Cupcake / Bottle – 2: 0.2x, 3: 0.8x, 4: 1.2x, 5: 1.5x, 6: 2x
- A / K – 3: 0.8x, 4: 1.2x, 5: 1.5x, 6: 1.5x
- Q / J – 3: 0.4x, 4: 0.8x, 5: 1x, 6: 1.2x
- 10 / 9 – 3: 0.3x, 4: 0.5x, 5: 0.8x, 6: 1x
The wild can appear on reels 2, 3, 4, 5 or 6 and substitutes for everything except the SCATTER, MONEY and COLLECT symbols. It’s a standard connector, nothing more, filling gaps in ways wins across the six reels. It never touches the collect system, which keeps the cash side of the game entirely separate from the symbol side.
Scatter Bonus
Scatters can appear on all six reels and pay wherever they land:
- 3 SCATTER – pays 1x total bet
- 4 SCATTER – pays 2x total bet
- 5 SCATTER – pays 3x total bet
- 6 SCATTER – pays 5x total bet
These are flat bet-multiple awards rather than a trigger for anything, which makes them a pleasant mid-spin surprise rather than a feature in their own right. Because the scatters pay on any reel, a lucky spread of them across the grid can rescue an otherwise quiet spin.
Money Collect Feature
This is the engine of the game. Whenever a MONEY symbol hits, it takes a random value and sits on the reels. The possible values run from 0.5x up to 20x your total bet in seventeen steps, plus three marked prizes: SMALL at 25x, MEDIUM at 250x and LARGE at 2,500x total bet.
The COLLECT symbol appears only on reels 1 and 6, which is the whole gamble of the feature. When it lands alongside any MONEY symbols on the same spin, each instance of it awards the values of every MONEY symbol currently on screen.
A board can therefore look rich with cash and pay nothing, because the collect simply didn’t turn up on one of the two reels it can occupy. That tension is the design. Two reels out of six carry the trigger, and every spin with cash on screen comes down to whether one of them delivers.
Candy POP – Oranje Jackpot Free Spins & Bonus Rounds
Hit three Bonus symbols and the free spins round begins. The game brands it Triple Chance to Win, and it comes with one of two upgrades active: wilds carrying multipliers, or a guaranteed collect. Both are aimed squarely at the base game’s weak point.
Multiplied wilds push the ways wins up, turning ordinary connector wilds into the most valuable symbols on the grid. The guaranteed collect goes further: every MONEY symbol that lands during the round gets banked instead of waiting on reel 1 or reel 6 to cooperate.
The upgrade structure gives the round two distinct flavours depending on which version lands. The guaranteed collect option in particular turns the round into the one place the MONEY ladder, including those 2,500x LARGE prizes, gets a fair chance to pay out.
Bonus Buy
There’s a BUY FREE SPINS button on the side panel for players who’d rather skip straight to the round. No price is published for it, so check the buy menu in-game before committing.
Entry costs on jackpot-linked titles tend to sit well above a standard spin, so the arithmetic of the buy deserves a look before you use it. Free spins here are also the round where the strongest upgrade lives, which at least makes the purchase a shot at the feature’s ceiling rather than its floor.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.2/10
Most of a session here is spent watching a pretty board stack up with cash you can’t yet have. That’s the whole point of it, and if you’re honest with yourself about enjoying that particular brand of waiting, this game does it rather well. The sweets-stall look keeps things cheerful while you wait.
Free spins are the strength, because the guaranteed collect removes the exact frustration the base game is built on, and the 2,500x LARGE prize finally gets room to matter. The weakness is the badge: the progressive jackpot takes its slice of every spin without publishing a return figure, and you’re paying it whether or not you came for the raffle.
This one’s for players who love a collect slot and can shrug at the jackpot levy. Anyone who wants clean, published maths with their candy should look elsewhere on the shelf. For the rest, there’s enough sugar in the free spins round to make the wait worth sitting through.
