Get ready to batle your way across the grid as we fight tooth and nail against our enemies in Play’n GO’s latest release, Cash of Command!
Prepare to lead your Admirals as we attempt to outsmart our enemies and claim victory for ourselves, but stay focused just in case we find ourselves in enemy territory. Join heroic Navals Commander Wilder, Captain Verto and Admiral Magna who each have a unique skill that will help defeat the evil Baron Fusco once and for all.
Watch the story unfold each time you spin in Cash of Command. The team of heroic Navals are waiting for orders on the left side of the grid and will activate after a certain amount of symbols are collected through winning clusters until you finally come face to face with Baron Fusco himself. Alongside your usual Cascading Reels, Play’n GO has included Turrets which have the power to blast symbols and remove them from the grid, replacing them with Wilds.
Will Cash of Command be one of Play’n GO’s best cluster pays titles yet? Let’s play on and find out!
Cash of Command Base Game and Features
Cash of Command is a 9×9 Video Slot with a Cluster Pays mechanic. In order to form a winning combination, you will need to connect 5 or more of the same symbol types either Horizontally or Vertically on the grid. The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€100 per spin, with plenty of other options in between the two.
Like most Cluster Pay titles, Cash of Command features Cascading Reels. Each time a winning cluster of symbols is formed, all winning symbols will be removed from the grid and new symbols will drop in from the top via a Cascade. Once a Cascade occurs, there is a chance of creating even more winning clusters.
In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol in Cash of Command is the Red Gem, followed by the Green and Blue Gems. Low-paying symbols fall to Grey, Blue, Brown and Green Badge symbols which all share the same pay value. There is also a Wild symbol present which substitutes for all High and Low-paying symbols.
There is plenty of action to be had in Cash of Command thanks to Play’n GO and their exciting Features. Baron’s Turrets, Naval Heroes and Baron Fusco are all equally thrilling features which each bring something new to the base game. More on these below!
Baron’s Turrets
On any non-winning spin in the base game, the 2 Turrets at the bottom of the screen can randomly trigger.
Once this happens, both Turrets will fire at the grid and remove a certain amount of symbols. The symbols which are removed from the grid will then be replaced by Wilds.
Naval Heroes
To further compliment the game, Play’n GO has also included an interesting Naval Heroes feature which can be triggered by collecting a certain amount of winning clusters.
On the left side of the grid you will come across a Collection Meter with 4 individual sections on it, one for each Naval Hero. If you manage to make it to the top of the Collection Meter, you will trigger the Baron Fusco feature. 15, 40, 70 and 110 winning symbols are required in order to activate the coressponding Naval Hero Modifier.
- Commander Wilder – Once Commander Wilder is unlocked, a Blue Ship is deployed. The Blue Ship will fire 8 Wilds across the grid.
- Admiral Magna – Once Admiral Magna is unlocked, a Red Submarine is deplyed. The Red Submarine will fire 4 Mega symbols onto the grid.
- Captain Verto – Once Captain Verto is unlocked, a Green Ship is deployed. The Green Ship will fire onto 2 random symbol types, transforming them into the same symbol type.
Baron Fusco
Once the top level is reached, the Baron Fusco feature will activate.
Once active, Baron Fusco will destroy 2 out of 3 Naval Hero Ships on the grid. The last remaining Ship will turn into a Super version of itself, hell bent on seeking revenge for their fallen allies.
The remaining Super Ship or Submarine will award an enhanced Power-Up which can deliver some pretty epic big wins!
- Super Admiral Magna – Fires 4 Mega symbols in sizes 2×2, 3×3 or 4×4.
- Super Commander Wilder – Fires up to 32 Wilds onto the grid.
- Super Captain Verto – Transforms up to 3 symbol types into the same symbol type.
Cash of Command: Our Verdict
Cash of Command is a pleasure visually with its cartoon depiction of war. Memorable characters and sublime artistry makes it eye-catching straight from the get-go, and in our opinion, this initial first impression is as important sometimes as the gameplay itself.
We’ve all loaded a slot out of curiosity only feel indifferent, or even disenchanted with the sub-par effort that went into making it appealing to the eye, and often on these occasions we shut it down in pursuit of something that gives you that feeling. Cash of Command certainly gives you that feeling that things could kick off, much like war itself, and to further the appeal comes the grid style format that Play’n GO are so adept at creating.
Of course, to some the grid format slot and the symbol collection mechanic gets the blood boiling like no other slot can. Getting cascades only to fall short by one symbol is almost enough to make you wage war on slots themselves, but persistence is the key, and if you’re persistent enough then your efforts may well be rewarded with a medal declaring you a slots war hero.
One small downside of Cash of Command is how quickly the excitement of the top-most feature diminishes when Baron Fusco does his thing. His only purpose is to narrow down the other Naval Heroes before the last survivor commences with a super version of their regular function, and while it’s certainly enough for monster hits, it doesn’t last long enough to properly enjoy.
In terms of potential, Cash of Command boasts of a maximum win cap of 5,336x. This might seem modest to some, or huge to others. It really depends on what sort of slots you regularly play.
To summarise, Cash of Command is another proud instalment from the experts over at Play’n GO. It’s eye-catching, a lot of fun and laden with potential.
