Base Game & Features
Cat’s Soup is the latest high RTP release from BGaming, consisting of 3 reels, 3 rows, and 5 fixed pay lines. Wins are guaranteed when 3 identical symbols land across an active pay line during spins.
The 3 high-paying symbols fall to lizards, frogs, and fish, awarding a fixed payout between 0.15x and 0.35x your bet. Alternatively, low-paying symbols are made up of peppers, grapes, and leaves, operating a fixed payout of 0.05x your bet.
In addition, Wild symbols appear on all reels and substitute for all paytable symbols as part of a winning combination. Wild symbols increment a fixed payout of 0.50x your bet, where applicable.
Alchemist’s Fire
To the right of the game grid is a special Flask with a default Multiplier of x2. Each time a Wild symbol appears in view, it will increment a Multiplier between x4 and x512. After the maximum value, the Multiplier cannot increase further.
When a Wild symbol is part of a winning combination, the awarded Multiplier is applied to the winning combination, after which it resets to x2. If more than 1 Wild symbol appears in a spin, the Multiplier increases by +1 step only.
Bonus Game Trigger
Every 10 spins in the base game, the Cat chooses a new recipe of 3 random symbols. If the symbols appear on the central horizontal line in the established order, the Bonus mode is triggered.
In this event, the Wild symbol cannot substitute any paytable symbol.

Our Honest Verdict
Cat’s Soup is a soft and cuddly addition to BGaming’s collection when compared against other giants in their portfolio. As seen in nearly all BGaming releases, Cat’s Soup has a great array of quality graphics, colourful aesthetics, and unique features/mechanics.
The minuscule number of pay lines and the 3×3 grid format are an unusual occurrence in a BGaming release, but one that has won the hearts of many in games like Toro 7s and Fire Joker Freeze before this.
When a software provider chooses to challenge the 3-reel format, a certain amount of fine-tuning and expertise is required to pull it off. What we mean by this is the game needs a variety of content (features and mechanics) to create an unforgettable experience, but did BGaming succeed?
In the base game, you’ll familiarise yourself with a unique Multiplier feature, which increases up to x512 when a Wild symbol appears on the grid. Interestingly, the Multiplier will only apply to wins that include the Wild symbol that triggered it.
In a somewhat disappointing turn of events, BGaming has traded Free Spins in favour of a Bonus Pick mode, whereby higher Multipliers are revealed to create the total win amount.
How the Bonus mode is triggered is quite unique, too. Instead of landing so many Scatters, you need to match up the Cat’s ingredients in order of how they appear across the middle row- and if you get bored of the current recipe, the game switches it up every 10 spins.
In other areas, Cat’s Soup offers a great range of statistics, particularly the impressive RTP of 98.06%. This figure is not entirely unheard of, but it’s a rare occurrence within the iGaming industry.
All in all, Cat’s Soup shies away from the complex features and mechanics we’re used to finding in a BGaming release, but it still has the charm and characteristics which make it a pleasant choice for players worldwide.
