Chronicles of Olympus II Hades: Our Verdict
Chronicles of Olympus II Hades isn’t entirely new territory for those accustomed to the series so far, but it presents a refreshingly different and dark perspective. It doesn’t reinvent the wheel, and remains true to the established framework that fans of the series are familiar with.
The main distinguishing feature here is the new take on Greek Mythology, focusing instead on the dark dominion of Hades.
While the mechanics largely follow the blueprints laid out by previous games, there is a new addition in the form of the Diamond Scatter Symbols. It’s a seemingly subtle change, but it may be enough to intrigue and attract players.
Our only real complaint is the dumbed-down win potential, which seems significantly lower than others in the series at 5,000x. Perhaps it’s just more of a realistic figure, and not everybody opts for fierce volatility, after all.
Overall, Chronicles of Olympus II Hades doesn’t stray far from the path trodden by its predecessors, but some may argue it doesn’t need to. Its strength lies in delivering a consistent and enjoyable experience with an added touch of novelty to keep things interesting.
