The background has a fallen battle with burning buildings to fit into the theme of this slot. Elk Studios use of sound effects is basic, however, the music is a good use of rousing battle music which fits well into the theme. The graphics are good, and animations of the spins are very smooth making the slot a visual pleasure – even if it is simplistic. Symbols are themed using the colours red, blue and green representing the values they hold as red is the highest.
Crusader Slot Features and Bonus
In the base game is 26 lines on five reels but this can expand from 4 rows to 12 rows in the bonus round. The bonus round can only be triggered by a crusader symbol on both first and fifth reels. The crusader symbol when it lands on either reel will initiate a respin for each square it moves down. During this time if the other crusader symbol lands it would trigger the bonus. It finishes the respins once the crusader fills the reel, crusader symbol is considered as a wild also.
Once the bonus game is triggered you get 8 free spins. During these 8 spins the crusader symbols will stick on reel 1 and 5. On the other 3 reels you can land an arrow symbol which expands the rows by 1. This expansion can keep happing up to a maximum of 12 rows which then give 98 paylines. Each arrow will also give one extra spin so a maximum of 20 free spins is possible.
What To Look For In Crusader Slot
Crusader has really what we call a single potential as most or all the Crusader slot RTP 96.1% of this slot is in the bonus. In my opinion, its more in the medium to high volatility category, as the bonus is fairly hard to trigger. As you may gathering so far in the review there isn’t much to report about this slot. It’s well done and a solid slot with an interesting bonus round for a few times. However, the lack of action in this slot makes it feel slow and boring, which makes the slot quickly turn into a grind.
The potential is there but is so limited its hard to see this slot being played a lot by the volatility players and it doesn’t really fit into those who play the fun games as it fits into neither group.
