Base Game & Features
Dark Waters 2 Power Combo is the latest instalment from Just For The Win, consisting of 6 reels, 4 rows, and 4,096 ways to win. Winning combinations are awarded when 3-6 identical symbols land on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1.
The highest-paying symbol falls to the Anchor, followed by the shotguns, hats, knives, bottles, and A, K, Q, J, & 10 card suits. Both sets of high and low-paying symbols reveal a fixed payout between 0.1x and 2.5x your bet.
Additionally, Wild symbols in the form of a map appear on all reels, substituting for all symbols except Money, Token, and Collect symbols. Wild symbols will only substitute for the highest possible win evaluation in a way line.
Lastly, Money symbols are not included in the ways to win payout during the base game and Free Spins mode.
Money & Token Symbols
In the base game, Money symbols with a random value between 0.5x and 10x your bet can appear on reels 1-5. However, during Free Spins, Money symbols can appear on all 6 reels.
In addition to regular Cash Prizes, certain money symbols can reveal Jackpot Prizes of Mini (15x), Minor (40x), Major (200x), or Mega (5,000x). Please note that the Mega Jackpot can only be awarded once in a single game session.
Additionally, Purple, Blue, & Red Bonus Tokens exist on all 5 reels in the base game and Free Spins mode. These tokens represent the individual Giant Gems above the main reel set, which are responsible for Giant Reels, Stack Collect, & Golden Reels features.
Lastly, special Progression Tokens can land on reels 2-5 within the base game. Each Progression Token, upon its appearance, is collected into a special Progression Meter. These symbols are responsible for increasing a meter by +1 Point for either Giant Reels, Stack Collect, or Golden Reels.
Collect Feature
Another symbol of relevance is the Skull Icon, which acts as a Collect symbol on reel 6 during the base game and Free Spins mode. When a Collect symbol hits, all available Money symbols in view will have their values collected and applied.
Bonus Buy
Players within permissible and acceptable regions can participate in up to 5 Bonus Buy options:
- Coin Burst: Increases your chance of landing Money & Collect symbols for 15x your bet
- 1 Kraken’s Choice: Triggers the Bonus Spins mode with a random feature and progression levels for 30x your bet
- 2 Kraken’s Choice: Triggers the Bonus Spins mode with two random features and progression levels for 70x your bet

Dark Waters 2 Power Combo has a fixed max win potential of 6,250x your bet. If a single game round exceeds this figure, the current mode ends, and the player returns to the base game with the qualifying amount.
Dark Waters 2 Power Combo Bonus Spins
For every Bonus Token on the reels, there is a chance to trigger the Bonus Spins mode.
If 2 different Bonus Tokens appear in the same spin and the Bonus Spins mode triggers, both features will activate simultaneously. Alternatively, if all 3 Bonus Tokens land within the same spin, thus triggering the Bonus Spins mode, then all 3 features will activate simultaneously.
Once the Bonus Spins mode is triggered, +10 Free Spins are awarded. Any time a non-active Bonus Token hits, there is a chance to enhance the Bonus Spins mode further by activating an additional feature, awarding +3 Free Spins. Giant Reels
Depending on the active progression level, the reel area can expand from 6×4 to 6×8, increasing the number of ways to win up to 262,144.

- Level 3: Reel area of 6×7 and 117,649 ways to win

Stack Collect
During the Stack Collect feature, a random number of Collect symbols will appear as Stacked Icons on the reels:
- Level 1: Awards 2 stacked collect symbols
- Level 2: Awards 3 stacked collect symbols
- Level 3: Awards 4 stacked collect symbols
- Level 4: Awards 5 stacked collect symbols
When multiple Collect symbols appear, all present Money symbols and their values will be awarded once per collection.
Golden Reels
During each spin in the Golden Reels feature, up to 4 reels are randomly selected to contain only Money symbols. The number of Golden Reels active depends on the progression level at the time of its trigger:

- Level 3: Awards 3 golden reels

Our Honest Verdict
Credit where credit’s due – Just For The Win deserves a fair amount of praise for Dark Waters 2 Power Combo. The game has the right amount of suspense, excitement, and engaging moments that make it a first choice for swashbuckling players alike.
Dark Waters 2 Power Combo has a few notable additions compared to the original release, which can be accessed via the game’s Bonus Buy tab if you’re within specific jurisdictions; however, it’s still a viable choice even if you can’t.
Each spin will have players clutching the edge of their seats, where 1, 2, or all 3 features can trigger simultaneously, making each session unique and unexpected. Not only this, but each feature can trigger at multiple progression levels, meaning an increase in ways to win, additional golden reels, or more money symbols, depending on the bonus mode.
Each of the 3 features is entirely unique, so you’re not left with the same recycled functions you tend to receive in a traditional Free Spins mode. Dark Waters 2 Power Combo is at its most capable when all 3 features are triggered simultaneously during a session. Again, non-UK players can purchase this mode instantly via the Bonus Buy tab, but it comes with a hefty price tag.
Our only dispute is that Just For The Win could have ‘upped the ante’ a little by integrating a higher max win potential than what’s available; however, we don’t know anyone who would turn their nose up at 6,250x their bet, do you?
All in all, Dark Waters 2 Power Combo is a great example of how the ‘3 Pots’ feature can be made fresh and unique, especially now that the iGaming market is filled with them – it’s all about making a mark on the community, and we feel this game does.
