Das xBoot Zwei! Slot Review
As their final release of the year, Das xBoot Zwei feels like Nolimit City is going out with a bang. Rather than closing things down quietly, they have chosen to return to one of their most popular and recognisable releases in Das xBoot.
After years beneath the surface, the submarine resurfaces upgraded, deadlier and more dangerous than ever. The mission remains the same at its core: track targets, strike efficiently, and disappear without a trace. Only now, the tools at your disposal are far more advanced.
On paper, Das xBoot Zwei fully embraces Nolimit City’s high-risk philosophy. It comes packed with a huge 59,999x maximum win, an RTP of 95.94%, and an Extreme volatility rating of 10/10. This is not a slot designed for those with a preference for more gentle slots, but few Nolimit City games are.
More than anything, though, Das xBoot Zwei sets out to expand on what made the original so compelling in the first place. Where the first game teased its deeper mechanics and often locked them behind bonus-heavy gameplay, this sequel aims to bring far more of that complexity and excitement into the core experience.

Base Game & Features
Das xBoot Zwei! is a highly volatile 6-reel video slot with a 2-3-4-4-3-2 reel configuration and 576+ ways to win. Paytable symbols confirm winning combinations when 3-6 identical symbols land on adjacent reels, starting from reel 1.
Character symbols with a Yellow, Red, Purple, Green, and Orange backdrop mark the highest-paying symbols, followed by A, K, Q, J, & 10 card suits as the game’s lowest-paying symbols. Once the reels settle, each winning combination awards a fixed payout between 0.2x and 5x your bet.
xNudge Wilds
During gameplay, xNudge Wilds are special symbols that guarantee to nudge until fully visible on the reel. As they nudge to fill the entire reel they currently possess, its Wild Multiplier increases by +x1.
xNudge Wilds are present on reels 3 & 4 only, except during the Periscope Up Feature, where they can appear only on reel 4. All Multipliers from these symbols are added together before being applied to wins.
xWays
In addition to xNudge Wilds, special xWays symbols can appear on reels 2 & 5 throughout each spin.
Once in view, an xWays symbol will reveal a random high or low-paying symbol, revealing 2-3 matching instances. If more than one xWays symbol appears in the same spin, each will reveal the same high or low-paying symbol from the paytable.
xBomb
Furthermore, xBomb Wilds can appear anywhere on the matrix, acting as a substitute for all paytable symbols except Scatters. Once in view, xBomb Wilds explode all symbols that are not part of a winning combination, except Scatters & additional Wilds.
After an xBomb explodes, all remaining symbols drop down to the bottom row, while new symbols fill the matrix via an Avalanche Feature. Each xBomb explosion will increment the Global Multiplier by +x1, which resets at the start of the next spin.
However, the Global Multiplier is carried into the Torpedo Builder Feature, Silent Hunter, World Pack, & Battle of the Atlantic Free Spins modes.
Periscope Up! Feature
As each session progresses, Reel 3 may randomly grow to 8 positions high, triggering the Periscope Up! Feature.
If a Periscope Wild hits on reel 3, a Torpedo Launch sequence is initiated. A target is added to the Periscope, which then launches a Torpedo. If a target is hit, the Periscope Wild expands to the top position, nudging down to the bottom position,& incrementing the Global Multiplier for each nudge.
Alternatively, if a target is missed, the Periscope Wild acts as a single Wild on the reel. In the base game & Wolf Pack Spins, the Periscope Up! Feature may trigger randomly. However, in Silent Hunter Spins & Battle of the Atlantic Spins, it remains active throughout.
Please note that the Periscope Wild does not nudge over paytable symbols revealed from the Torpedo Launch.
Torpedo Builder
In the base game & Silent Hunter Spins, landing a Full Boat in a 2-symbol wide ocular above reels 5 & 6 triggers the Torpedo Builder feature.
Once active, a Torpedo Tube directly below reels 2-5 will appear, where only Torpedo Parts can land, while reels 1 & 6 remain closed. In this feature, you are given 3 Spins to land the 4 Torpedo Parts needed to complete the Torpedo.
On reels 2 & 5, each Torpedo Part drops a +1, +2, or +3 xWays symbol to its area, which becomes active once the Torpedo launches. Additionally, on reels 3 & 4, each Torpedo Part drops a +1, +2, or +3 xWays Wild to its area, activating once the Torpedo takes flight.
If all Torpedo Parts are filled, the Torpedo Launch begins, revealing xWays symbols behind it in the size of all collected parts per reel. On reels 2 & 5, xWays symbols transform into regular paytable symbols, split into the number of ways that were collected from the Torpedo Parts. However, reels 3 & 4, xWays symbols transform into Wilds, splitting in the same way as other xWays symbols produced in this way.
Golden Torpedo Builder
In addition to the regular Torpedo Builder, Nolimit City has included a Golden version, which is available in the base game & Silent Hunter Spins. When a Golden Boat appears in the Ocular, each Torpedo Part will have values of +8 or +88.
Das xBoot Zwei!: Free Spins
Silent Hunter, Wolf Pack, & Battle of the Atlantic Spins can be triggered by landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters on reels 1-6, respectively.

Silent Hunter
In this mode, the Periscope Up! feature is always active on the reels. Furthermore, the Periscope Wild offers a persistent Multiplier, which begins at x1. Each nudge that the Pesicope Wild takes will increase the persistent Multiplier by +x1. The persistent Multiplier only applies to the spin in which the Persicope Wild hits the target.
Each time an xBomb symbol appears in view, its Multiplier is increased by +x1 for the remainder of Silent Hunter Spins. All Multipliers are added together before being applied to wins. Lastly, each Scatter awards an additional +2 Free Spins.
Wolf Pack
During Wolf Pack Spins, a Torpedo Tube appears below reels 2-5, requiring Torpedo Parts to fill it. The Torpedo Tube is already filled with several xWays and xWays Wilds, and when a Torpedo Part detaches from the reels, it leaves behind a Wild symbol.
Reels 2 & 5 drop a +1, +2, or +3 xWays symbol within the Torpedo area, which only activates when the Torpedo launches. Otherwise, reels 3 & 4 reveal +1, +2, or +3 xWays Wilds, which again activate when the Torpedo launches.
Each time a Full Boat appears within the Ocular, the Torpedo launches in its current state, adding xWays and xWays Wilds to the bottom reel positions, split into the number of ways that were collected from the Torpedo Parts.
Once the Torpedo has launched, an identical Torpedo takes its position, loaded with further enhancements for the upcoming spins. Each time an xBomb symbol hits, its Multiplier increases the Global Multiplier by +x1, which is held for the remainder of spins.
Lastly, each Scatter symbol awards an additional +2 Free Spins.
Battle of the Atlantic
In the Battle of the Atlantic Bonus, the Periscope Up! feature from Silent Hunter Spins and the Torpedo Builder feature from Wolf Pack Spins remain active throughout spins, combining to unleash the ultimate carnage on the reels.
Each time an xBomb symbol appears in view, its Multiplier is awarded and increases by +x1 for the remainder of the session. All Multipliers are added together before wins are calculated on the reels. Lastly, each Scatter symbol awards an additional +2 Free Spins.
Extra Spin
At the end of Silent Hunter, Wolf Pack, or Battle of the Atlantic Spins, players may be allowed to purchase an Extra Spin. Any existing Multipliers & Torpedo Tube Progress are held for the Extra Spins, with its cost reflected by each feature’s current state.

Our Honest Verdict
Das xBoot ist ein absolutes Meisterwerk! Das xBoot Zwei builds brilliantly on the foundations of the original, taking everything that once felt restrained and unleashing it at full force. Where the first game only offered flickers of its true potential through its xMechanic features, locking most of the excitement behind Free Spins or the Super Free Spins, the sequel delivers relentless action almost all of the time.
The Periscope Up! feature, Torpedo, & Golden Torpedo Builders make gameplay feel unfathomably exciting from start to finish, and for the first time, it genuinely feels like you get to experience the full scope of what the game has to offer.
The Periscope remains the core feature, but it has been significantly improved through a persistent multiplier that carries over to future hits from the wilds left behind by successful connections. Add to that what feels like a noticeably higher hit rate and the added possibility of triggering a Torpedo Builder, and it becomes far more engaging than ever before.
Wolf Pack spins have also been completely transformed. The Torpedo now comes pre-built and ready for launch, requiring only a ship in the binoculars to fire. It can then be further enhanced with additional xWays symbols or wilds to create even bigger, more destructive launches. Compared to the original, where launches were often limited to once per bonus round, this version feels dramatically more frequent and consistently rewarding.
The biggest and most meaningful evolution comes with the Battle of the Atlantic, which fuses both bonus rounds into one high-intensity experience and introduces the option to buy extra spins.
This mode easily stands as the most thrilling in the game, while the Golden Torpedo Builder, though more expensive to access, feels both more powerful and far more exciting when it finally lands.
With a towering 59,999x max win, Das xBoot Zwei is technically more capable than its predecessor, though perhaps not by the margin some might expect. That said, given how much of a powerhouse the original already was, it still delivers on its reputation with authority.
All in all, Das xBoot Zwei is an exceptional evolution of an already legendary slot and a phenomenal way to close out the year with one of the most exciting releases on the reels.
