Base Game & Features
Dead Man’s Riches is a High Volatility Video Slot with 5 reels, 3 rows, and 20 fixed pay lines. Players can select a bet size between £.€0.60 and £.€180 per spin. Wins occur when 3, 4, or 5 matching symbols land from left to right, starting from reel 1. The Red & Blue Skull Wilds substitute for all symbols except Scatters, as does the Wild Captain symbol.
Travelling Wild Feature & Wild Skulls
If a Red or Blue Wild Skull appears in the base game, it will instantly trigger the Travelling Wild Feature. Once active, a Respin is awarded where all Wild Skull symbols move across the reels. If there are no Wild Skull symbols in view, the Travelling Wild Feature will end.
At the start of a Respin or any Free Spin, all Wild Red Skull symbols from the previous spin will move down by one position or leave the reel set if it reaches the third row. Alternatively, all Wild Blue Skulls will move to the left of the reel set until they reach the leftmost position and leave.
Wild Captain
During the Travelling Wild Feature or Free Spins mode, Blue and Red Skull symbols can collide on the reels. When they do, they transform into a special Captain Wild with Multipliers of two symbols added together.
In the next Respin, all Wild Captain symbols from the previous spin will split into individual Red and Blue Skull symbols, carrying the combined Multipliers. All wins involving Wild symbols will be multiplied by their respective values.
Dead Man’s Riches Slot Free Spins
Landing 3, 4, or 5 Scatters in the base game triggers the Free Spins mode, awarding payouts of 30x, 50x, and 1,000x your bet, respectively. Once active, players can choose 15 Free Spins or 8 Free Spins with Persistent Wilds.

Our Honest Verdict
As with all PGSoft titles, Dead Man’s Riches offers appealing aesthetics, high-quality graphics, and gripping sound effects. The insightful backstory gives us an understanding of the game’s features and mechanics, which tie in beautifully with the Pirate theme.
Once again, PGSoft has indulged us with their Mobile-First approach. It may not be the most appealing format from a desktop point of view, but it highlights significant areas on mobile, making the finer design details much more apparent. We don’t often come across a format like this, so it speaks volumes to PGSoft’s care and consideration for mobile players, giving them the best optics across pay-by-mobile casino sites.
The Travelling Wild Feature is certainly the highlight of base game spins. As soon as a Red or Blue Wild Skull hits, you’re met with a Respin function that allows all current Wilds to move position. Getting the individual Wilds to line up and collide creates a new Wild Multiplier symbol, offering a greater chance of significant wins.
When the Free Spins round is triggered, players can choose between 15 and 8 Free Spins. The lower number of spins comes with a Persistent Wilds feature, where each Wild that leaves the reels will reappear in a new position.
