Dragon’s Domain Slot Review
Chuck on your armour, don your shield, and pull out your sword…it’s time to brave the Dragon’s Domain and earn yourself some treasure, courtesy of Hacksaw Gaming!
Many have fought valiantly against the mighty Dragon, but few have succeeded. Will we escape this fire-breathing beast and claim the treasure for ourselves, without a singed hair on our heads? Let’s play on and find out!
Base Game & Features
Dragon’s Domain is a 6-reel, 5-row Video Slot featuring a Scatter Pays mechanic, and playable from £0.10 per spin, up to a max bet size of £100 per spin.
Wins occur when 9-19+ identical symbols land anywhere across the reels, regardless of their position. The highest-paying Knight symbol awards wins of up to 800x your bet for 19+ instances across the reel set.
Dragon’s Domain has a theoretical RTP of 96.31%, a Medium Volatility rating, and a max win cap of 10,000x your bet. Alternatively, Hacksaw Gaming has also included lower RTP modules between 94.25% and 88.29%.
Each winning sequence is removed from the reels, creating additional space for new symbols to drop in from above, potentially enhancing or creating winning combinations.
Charred Land
Charred Land symbols are special Wild Multipliers that appear with up to 3 charges when in view. When a Charred Land symbol is part of a winning sequence, 1 charge is lost before the next Cascade. Each occurring cascade will increase the Wild Multiplier by +x1.
If more than 1 Charred Land symbol is part of a winning combination, their Multipliers are added together and applied to the win. Charred Land symbols can appear with a Multiplier value of x2, x3, x4, x5, or x10.
Dragon Symbols & Dragonfire
Special Dragon symbols will activate once the reel set is fully settled and no more wins occur, breathing Dragonfire in a cross pattern from its current position.
Once active, all High and Low-paying symbols in the firing line are removed from the reels. If Dragonfire hits a Charred Land symbol, the number of charges is refilled. There are 2 types of Dragon symbols available:
- Red Dragon – Awards Dragonfire only.
- Gold Dragon – Awards Dragonfire and a Multiplier value of x2, x3, x4, x5, or x10.
Whenever a Charred Land symbol is hit with Dragonfire from a Gold Dragon, its value is multiplied by the value of the Gold Dragon.

Dragon’s Lair Bonus
Landing 3 FS Scatters in the base game triggers the Dragon’s Lair Bonus, awarding 10 Free Spins.
During this round, all Charred Land values are persistent between each spin, as long as charges remain. Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters awards an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins respectively.
The Hatchery Bonus
Landing 4 FS Scatters in the base game triggers The Hatchery Bonus, awarding 10 Free Spins.
During this round, only non-paying, Dragon Egg, and Dragon symbols are in play. Dragon Eggs award Cash Prizes based on your current bet level, collected when Dragonfire hits them. There are 3 types of Dragon Egg available:
- Green Egg – Award values of 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x your bet
- Red Egg – Award values of 20x, 30x, 40x your bet
- Gold Egg – Award values of 50x, 100x, 200x your bet
Each time Dragonfire hits a Dragon Egg from a Gold Dragon symbol, its value is multiplied by the value of the Gold Dragon. Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters will award an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins respectively.

Conclusion
Choosing to enter the Dragon’s Domain with nothing but a sword and some flimsy armour is the first hurdle, one that probably panned out better in your mind. Once inside, you’re faced with Red and Gold Dragons fiercely guarding their treasure.
Switching out their unusual pay lines, Hacksaw Gaming has fitted Dragon’s Domain with 6 reels, a Scatter Pays mechanic, and a number of thrilling functions.
Charred Land symbols act as Wilds, accompanied by Multipliers of up to x10, and a max of 3 charges. On their own, they’re your typical Multiplier Wilds, yet when they cross paths with Dragonfire, they can award refilling charges and boosted Multiplier values.
In true Hacksaw fashion, Dragon’s Domain facilitates 2 exciting Free Spins rounds, with The Hatchery being the most rewarding. It’s here that all High and Low-paying symbols are wiped out, leaving only non-paying, dragon egg, and dragon symbols in play. Dragon Eggs are fairly easy to acquire, yet Dragon symbols are significantly harder to obtain, and without the two together, it can be tricky to achieve substantial wins.
