Epic Bullets and Bounty Slot Review
Dust off your boots and steady your aim, we’re facing ‘Quick Draw Kate’ once more in Hacksaw Gaming’s latest release, Epic Bullets and Bounty!
After surviving the chaos of the original Bullets and Bounty, facing the legendary Lady of Lead, this new variant cranks up the volatility for bigger win potential, a new Gamble Upgrade, improved Free Spins opportunities, and a purchasable Epic Bonus.
Beneath these impressive mechanics lies the same maths model, reel structure, and fixed pay line system that defined the original release. The ultimate prize? A bandit-sized 20,000x your bet…feeling lucky? Let’s play on and find out!

Base Game & Features
Epic Bullets and Bounty is a highly volatile 5-reel, 3-row video slot with 19 fixed pay lines. Wins occur when 3 or more identical symbols land from reel 1 onwards, awarding a fixed payout between 0.2x and 10x your bet.
Wilds, VS, and Bounty VS symbols are all in effect here, with Wild symbols substituting for all paytable symbols when part of a winning combination. Please note that FS Scatters cannot land in the Four Shots to Freedom or Go Ahead, Make Her Day bonus modes.

DuelReels
When a VS or Bounty VS symbol appears on the reels, it expands into a DuelReel when part of a winning combination. Each fully expanded DuelReel will act as a Stacked Wild, covering the entire reel it interacts with.
After expansion, 2 Duelists will battle it out, revealing an Adding Multiplier between 2x and 100x your bet, which is assigned to each one. When a VS symbol expands, it transforms into an Outlaw DuelReel, having the Multiplier from the surviving duelists applied across the entire reel.
If more than 1 Outlaw DuelReel is part of the same win, their Multipliers are added together before being applied to the win. Alternatively, when a Bounty VS symbol expands, it transforms into a Bounty DuelReel, and a battle between the Bounty Hunter & Outlaw ensues.
If the Bounty Hunter wins, she collects the Multiplier from the Outlaw and combines it with her existing value. On the new Duel, the Bounty Hunter will display the same combined Multiplier from the previous Duel. This continues until the Bounty Hunter loses the fight or all 3 Respins are completed.

Epic Bullets and Bounty: Free Spins
Triggering the True Grit Bonus requires 3 FS Scatters to land in the base game, awarding 10 Free Spins. Alternatively, landing 4 and 5 FS Scatters triggers the Four Shots to Freedom and Go Ahead, Make Her Day Bonus modes, awarding 10 Free Spins, respectively.

Each Free Spins mode offers a unique gameplay experience as follows:
- True Grit: Includes a Progressive Bounty Hunter Multiplier. This brings players into a Bonus Gamble, where you can choose between this mode or gamble for Cash Prizes or a higher Bonus mode, but it comes with plenty of risk.
- Four Shots to Freedom: Reveals a Bullets & Bounty Bar that awards DuelSpins and VS symbols. Each Duel the Bounty Hunter wins increases the Bullets & Bounty Bar by +1 step. Players can play the Bonus Gamble or choose to play this mode prior to the session. Unlocking Levels 1-5 will award additional Free Spins and a DuelSpin with 2-5 VS symbols, respectively.
- Go Ahead, Make Her Day: Begins the first spin with a Level 1 DuelSpin, awarding 2 or more VS symbols. This mode also has progressive Bounty Hunter Multipliers.
During the True Grit Bonus, landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters in the same spin awards an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins, respectively.

Gamble Mode
At the start of True Grit and Four Shots to Freedom Bonus modes, players can participate in a special Bonus Gamble, where the following outcomes are available:
- True Grit: Awards 1 of 6 outcomes, including Cash Prizes of 5x and 10x your bet, and several segments for the Four Shots to Freedom Bonus.
- Four Shots to Freedom: Awards 1 of 6 outcomes, including Cash Prizes of 5x, 10x, and 20x your bet, plus a single segment for the Epic Bonus (Go Ahead, Make Her Day).

Our Honest Verdict
Epic Bullets and Bounty is… well, epic, as the name might infer.
Hacksaw Gaming slots usually are, and the previous Bullets and Bounty, Wanted Dead or a Wild, and other western releases within the Hacksaw catalogue make that fairly clear. This time, we’re stepping back into familiar territory, but with a noticeable shift in emphasis. The question is not whether it feels different, but where those differences actually sit.
Under the hood, very little has changed. The maths model, reel structure, and fixed pay line system remain exactly as players will remember. DuelReels behaves the same way, VS symbols still drive the action, and the 20,000x maximum win remains the ultimate prize.
What has changed is the game’s behaviour. Volatility is noticeably higher, resulting in fewer base game wins and a stronger reliance on DuelReel connections. Bonuses play a more central role in overall payout potential, with the Levels 1–5 progression in Four Shots to Freedom extending the feature’s ceiling. The upgraded Gamble Mode further increases session variance by introducing more aggressive risk versus reward choices.
The most significant adjustment, however, is Go Ahead, Make Her Day. Once positioned as a rarer, aspirational outcome, it now sits firmly in premium territory via the Epic Bonus Buy. That single design choice materially changes how players approach the game.
Traditionally, Hacksaw reserves Epic-style bonuses as chase features rather than direct purchases, with only a small number of exceptions across their catalogue.
Epic Bullets and Bounty does not attempt to reinvent Bullets and Bounty. Instead, it increases the stakes and leans further into volatility-driven gameplay. For players who enjoyed the original mechanics but prefer higher-risk bonuses with potentially higher rewards, this variant will likely feel like a natural escalation rather than a replacement.
