Pragmatic Play partner Reel Kingdom is taking us for a spot of fishing in the Nile, in Fish Eye!
With our favourite Fisherman taking a well-deserved day off, Reel Kingdom has invited us to do a spot of Fishing….in the Nile of all places, but will it be a welcoming change in setting?
A change of pace from their usual Fishing titles, Reel Kingdom has taken on the Egyptian theme as many Providers have done before, but will fthe fish bite better in Egypt? Let’s play on and find out!
Fish Eye Base Game and Features
Fish Eye is a 5 reel slot with 10 fixed paylines. Forming a winning combination requires 3 or more of the same symbol (or 2 or more of the highest paying symbol) to land from left to right, starting from the left-most reel.
The minimum bet available here is £/€0.10 (£/€0.15 Ante Bet) per spin and the maximum bet available is £/€250 (£/€375 Ante Bet) per spin, with plenty of other betting options in between the two. Fish Eye has a theoretical RTP of 96.07% and a max win cap of 10,000x.
In terms of symbols, the highest paying regular symbol here is the Scarab Beetle, followed by the Bird, Cat and the Eye of Horus. Low-paying symbols are standard Ace, King, Queen, Jack and Ten. There is no Wild symbol present in Fish Eye.
Ante Bet
Before you can begin spinning, you will be given the option to activate the Ante Bet feature on the left of the reel set.
Activating the Ante Bet feature will increase your current bet by 50%, but with that comes one advantage. Once the Ante Bet feature is active, you will have an increased chance of landing Scatters during gameplay. (RTP 96.07%)
Fish (Money) Symbols
During the base game, Money symbols in the form of Fish will appear across the reel set. Each Fish symbol will take on a random Cash value between 0.1x and 100x your current bet, although this increases between 2x and 1,000x during Free Spins.
In the base game only, landing 4 or more Fish symbols anywhere on the reel set awards their current Cash Values, multiplied as follows.
- 4 Fish – 1x Multiplier.
- 5 Fish – 2x Multiplier.
- 6 Fish – 5x Multiplier.
- 7 Fish – 10x Multiplier.
- 8 Fish – 20x Multiplier.
- 9 Fish – 30x Multiplier.
- 10 Fish – 50x Multiplier.
- 11 Fish – 100x Multiplier.
- 12 Fish – 500x Multiplier.
- 13 Fish – 1,000x Multiplier.
- 14 Fish – 1,500x Multiplier.
- 15 Fish – 2,000x Multiplier.
All Multiplier values are displayed above the reel set on a Fish Meter. When enough Fish symbols land, the corresponding Multiplier on the Fish Meter will be highlighted.
Fish Eye Free Spins
Landing 3, 4 or 5 Scatters across the reels triggers the Free Spins round, awarding 10, 15 and 20 Free Spins respectively.
During Free Spins, 2 Special symbols will come into play, known as the Collector and Remover. What both these symbols can achieve is as follows.
- Collector – Whenever a Collector symbol lands in view, it will collect all Cash Values on any present Fish symbols and store them in a special Meter. Every 4th Collector symbol to land will award an additional +10 Free Spins.
- Remover – Whenever a Remover symbol lands in view, it will remove the Lowest Value currently possible on Fish symbols. Once a value has been removed, it will not appear on any Fish symbols for the rest of the Free Spins round. Landing 1 or 2 Remover symbols during any one spin will also award an additional +1 and +3 Free Spins respectively.
When a Collector symbol is present on the reels without any Fish symbols, it will randomly add Fish symbols to the reels in random positions at the end of the Free Spin.
Fish Eye Bonus Buy
Those outside the UK will benefit from a Bonus Buy option.
Reel Kingdom has granted players access to the Free Spins round for a total cost of 100x your current bet. (RTP 96.07%)
Fish Eye: Our Verdict
Fish Eye is another great title to share similar traits to that of Reel Kingdom’s beloved Big Bass series, but is the change of scenery one we can get behind?
When we first loaded up Fish Eye, we had mixed emotions. The Egyptian theme is quite evident here, but with no shortage of Egyptian slots on the market and a particular Fisherman missing, we kept an open mind for gameplay in hopes that it would bring something new to the table.
Although Reel Kingdom has made many changes to Fish Eye in terms of theme, both the base game and Free Spins round has Big Bass written all over it, but with a few adjustments that make it stand out.
Landing a certain number of fish symbols not only awards their respective values, but it also triggers a Multiplier, which increases depending on the number of fish symbols on the reels. This gives Fish Eye a bit of an edge to the Big Bass series and one we think you will all appreciate.
The statistics speak for themselves here, with an above average RTP of 96.07% and a juicy max win cap of 10,000x up for grabs. Although the max win cap isn’t a crazy number, seen in many Nolimit City titles, it’s a huge imporvement on most Pragmatic Play slots.
