Fist of Destruction Slot Review
Rally your crew, tighten your bandana, and defeat your opponents in Hacksaw Gaming’s latest release, Fist of Destruction!
Fighting games seemed all the rage in the 90s and early 00s. Tekken, Street Fighter, and Dragon Ball Z were the pillars for children craving violence, and what fond memories they were.
Launching a Hadouken or Kamehameha into the face of whoever dared oppose you separated the boys from the men, and Hacksaw Gaming’s Fist of Destruction evokes fond memories of those beautiful moments.
Few venture into the fight realm when it comes to online slots, but perhaps more should. Fist of Destruction looks like a brawl to behold.
Fist of Destruction Gameplay & Design
Hacksaw Gaming is taking us back to the good old days when you’d finish school and jump straight onto Street Fighter or Tekken for some ass-kicking action. This type of theme is slightly unusual in slots, and first appearances of Fist of Destruction are very positive. The 2 characters give off an Anime feel to them, combined with a street scene background, and cartoonish symbols.
Fist of Destruction is a 5-reel, 4-row Video Slot, playable for as little as £0.10 per spin, up to a maximum bet of £100 per spin. Simply flick through the bet limits until you find one that caters to your budget.
Fist of Destruction Slot Symbols and their Values
Fist of Destruction features an array of High and Low-paying symbols that fit nicely with the ‘street fighter’ theme. High-paying symbols fall to a selection of Characters, with the highest-paying symbol paying 10x your bet for a full 5-line win.
Low-paying symbols are standard A, K, Q, J, and 10. Each low-paying symbol pays the same amount of 0.1x, 0.5x, and 2x your bet for 3-line, 4-line, and 5-line wins.
Fist of Destruction Paylines – How to Get Them
Winning combinations form when 3 or more of the same symbol types land from left to right, starting from the leftmost reel, across 14 fixed pay lines. Wins occur in Horizontal and Diagonal line formations.
Fist of Destruction RTP & Volatility – Hot or Not?
Fist of Destruction has a theoretical RTP of 96.3% which falls above average on the RTP scale. Higher RTP levels are fitting for players who prefer more frequent wins over a longer period of time in a market that opts for lower RTP levels.
In terms of Volatility, Fist of Destruction falls under the High Volatility category (4/5). Slots with a higher volatility level are suitable for players looking for bigger wins, though they tend to come in less frequently. High volatility slots like this one have a higher potential to reward big wins, but they are riskier in the short run.
Fist of Destruction – Max Win
Like many Hacksaw Gaming slots, Fist of Destruction is fitted with a 10,000x max win cap. This figure is the standard for many Hacksaw Gaming titles and one that is sufficient enough for the average player.
Fist of Destruction Special Features
In this part of the review, we will be explaining in detail the ‘Choose your Fighter’ and ‘Fist symbol Wild Reels’ features, and what they bring to the table.
Choose your Fighter
The Choose Your Fighter feature is more for cosmetic purposes than anything else. You can choose which characters are displayed outside the reel set by clicking on their miniature images above the reels. This has no impact on the outcome of gameplay.
Fist Symbol Wild Reels
When a fist symbol hits, it will expand into a Wild Reel that begins from the position it originally landed, expanding upwards to the top of the reel. Fist symbols will only activate if the expanded reel would create or be part of a winning combination.
Wild Reels substitute for all High and Low-paying symbols from the paytable. Fist symbols appear in the colours Red and Blue, belonging to the Red or Blue team.
If a Fist symbol passes through a character symbol of the opposite team or a Wild, a Multiplier between x2 and x200 is applied to the Wild Reel. Multipliers are applied to all wins that pass through the Wild Reel.
If a Fist symbol passes through multiple Character symbols, the Multiplier values will be added together and applied to the win. If a winning combination includes more than one Fist Wild Reel, their multiplier values will be added together and applied to wins. Each reel can hold 1 Fist symbol at any one time.

Fist of Destruction Bonus Rounds & Free Spins
In true Hacksaw fashion, Fist of Destruction features 2 Bonus Game rounds; Throwdown and Ultimate Throwdown. Triggering either of these rounds requires 3 Scatters for Throwdown and 4 Scatters for Ultimate Throwdown, awarding 10 Free Spins respectively.
Throwdown Bonus
During Throwdown Free Spins, the mechanics seen previously in the base game are maintained. However, the Red and Blue teams battle against each other to increase their Victory Level.
Each team begins with a Victory Level of 3+. Each Fist symbol from either team will punch through any opposing character symbols or Wilds. The Fist symbols’ team will gain +1 Victory Point, for example, the Red team gains a point when a Red Fist punches a character from the Blue team.
When a team has gained 3 Victory Points, a Respin with the Epic Drop is awarded, increasing the winning team’s victory level by +1. The number of Fist symbols guaranteed to drop in the Epic Drop feature depends on the Victory Level of the team.
- Victory Level 3+ – A minimum of 3 Fist symbols of the winning team’s colour is guaranteed during Epic Drop.
- Victory Level 4+ – A minimum of 4 Fist symbols of the winning team’s colour is guaranteed during Epic Drop.
- Victory Level 5+ – A minimum of 5 Fist symbols of the winning team’s colour is guaranteed during Epic Drop.
Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters during this time awards an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins respectively.
Ultimate Throwdown Bonus
During Ultimate Throwdown Free Spins, the same base game mechanics are maintained, but each begins with a Victory Level of 4+. Fist symbols that land during the Epic Drop feature do not count towards increasing the winning team’s victory level.
Landing 2 or 3 FS Scatters during this time will award an additional +2 and +4 Free Spins respectively.

Fist of Destruction Strategy & Tips
Hacksaw Gaming titles have a reputation for being difficult to bonus, one of the side effects of having a High Volatility level. However, Fist of Destruction has an above-average RTP which means that wins occur more frequently over a longer period of time, thus making the max win cap of 10,000x more appealing.
- Playing on a lower bet will conserve your bankroll given the difficulties surrounding bonus triggers.
- Make use of the Ante Bet feature. This will enhance your chances of triggering a Bonus Game.
