Flight Mode Slot Review
Welcome aboard Flight NLC25, where your final destination is your final destination, if you catch our drift. If you want slots, you go to Nolimit City, they’re among the best there is, if not the best in the business.
If, however, you want a flight, then go literally anywhere else. Their slots fly off the shelves, but their planes would plummet to the ground, as evidenced in Free Spins, where the wreckage is adrift at sea.
Flight Mode looks artistically similar to the likes of Outsourced, and it also shares some features that are reminiscent of Outsourced. The first thing that we noticed about Flight Mode was not graphics or features, but stats.
Flight Mode has a low max win by Nolimit City standards, with 5,051x the bet as a maximum win. This may be a standard ceiling for most, but it’s a shockingly low one for Nolimit City. Will there be appetite for a softer game, or will it crash and burn?

Base Game & Features
Flight Mode is another release for the growing Nolimit Labs category, consisting of 6 reels, 4 rows, and 729 ways to win.
Wins occur when 3-6 identical symbols land across reels 1-6, starting from the leftmost reel. Paytable symbols include 5 high-paying and 4 low-paying (A-J) card suits, awarding fixed payouts between 0.05x and 1x your bet.
In addition, Wild symbols substitute for all paytable symbols and can appear on all reels.
During gameplay, the 4th row is locked with Max Win icons. Winning combinations will explode via an Avalanche Feature, resulting in new symbols falling onto the reels. Each win causes the Multiplier to increment by +x1, applying to all new symbols that appear on the reels.

Bombs
Throughout gameplay, all Bomb symbols will explode on a non-winning spin. Exploding bombs will remove all paytable symbols on their reel and row, allowing new symbols to fall in.
Please note that Scatter & Wilds are unaffected by this process. Bomb symbols can also unlock Max Win icons that fall into their path on the reel/row.
xHole
xHole symbols in the form of toilets will only activate when there are no winning combinations, multipliers, or bombs in view.
Once active, all symbols on the reels are sucked into the void and spat out in a random order, along with the next available Multiplier value. The xHole symbol will then transform itself into a Wild Multiplier symbol.

Multiplier Increaser
When a Multiplier Increaser symbol hits, it will reveal a random value between x2 and x10.
These symbols only activate when they add their values to the next multiplier value. Once active, the Multiplier Increaser is removed.
In addition, the Golden Multiplier Increaser triggers when it lands in view, doubling the value of the next multiplier.

Extra Spin
After a base game win or bonus round, players can be granted an Extra Spin for a fixed price. The additional spin will resume the current Multiplier of all previous symbols from the last spin.
The cost of this spin is calculated based on the next Multiplier value. If the cost is less than or equal to the total win, the Extra Spin option is granted. Please note that Scatters symbols cannot land during this time.

Flight Mode Slot ‘Flee Spins’

During this round, the progression of Multipliers is held throughout spins, while the Max Win Icons remain unlocked until the end of the feature.

Our Honest Verdict
We actually quite liked Flight Mode, despite our initial reservations. Granted, many of Nolimit City’s catalogue are volatile monsters with unthinkable max wins, and they’re loved for it.
Flight Mode goes against the very thing that a large portion of their fanbase loves, but it still possesses the NLC charm. It’s funny with a hilarious soundtrack, and the typical blatant disregard for conformity once more. It isn’t Nolimit City’s best, but it’s not a thoughtless and forgettable instalment either.
The Multiplier increaser makes the Base Game and Free Spins quite exciting, especially when they reach obscene values. Coupled with the ability to buy an extra spin, it’s both a thrill ride and a risky choice. A fair chunk of our limited time testing it was spent buying extra spins, and we had fun doing so, but we’d advise caution.
The extra spin feature seen in this and instalments like Highway to Hell can turn a win into zilch, but that’s the cost of potentially winning something massive. Yes, the max win of 5,051x isn’t humongous, but it’s achievable, unlike the max wins stated by others.
We do think Nolimit City could have bolstered the popularity a little further with some more Nolimit City xMechanics – flight mode opted only for xGod and xHole. xGod isn’t available within UK casinos, so it leaves only one to enjoy.
The xHole function here isn’t quite as profound as it was in Kenneth Must Die or the latest Fire in the Hole 3, but it’s nice to see it nonetheless.
Overall, we dont think Flight Mode was an overly ambitious statement from Nolimit City, but it’s still an entertaining offering, capable and funny.
