Fruit Feestje – Oranje Jackpot Slot Review
A fruit machine cabinet floats in a warm orange void, its gold frame studded with marquee bulbs and flaring out at the bottom like a stage lip. The reel window behind it glows wine-red, lit from within, and above the cabinet runs a band of four coloured jackpot plaques, purple, blue, green and gold, ticking quietly upward.
Pragmatic Play have wired a progressive ladder into the fairground classic, and unusually for this family, the return hasn’t been sacrificed to pay for it. Fruit Feestje – Oranje Jackpot is a 5×3, 25-payline game with medium volatility, stakes from 0.25 to 250.00, a 95.5% RTP, and a maximum win of 10,500x the total bet. It sits in the studio’s Dutch-facing Oranje range alongside Fruit Party – Oranje Jackpot and Gates of Olympus – Oranje Jackpot. Whether the fruit and the feeder jackpots go together is what the reels have to answer.
Base Game & Features
The reels hold the classic set: a lucky 7 up top, then the bell, watermelon, lemon, orange, grapes, cherries and plum. Wins pay left to right across 25 fixed paylines, and only the highest combination on each line counts. Adjacent reels pay too, so three, four and five of a kind all have a price.
The wild lands on reels two, four and five and substitutes for everything except the scatter, money and collect symbols. That’s its whole job, but on a board where the top symbol pays 32x for five, a well-placed wild completes more than one line at a time.
The symbol values, as multiples of the total bet, are:
- 7 – 0.4x for three, 2x for four, 32x for five
- Bell – 0.2x, 1.2x, 7x
- Watermelon – 0.2x, 1x, 6x
- Lemon – 0.2x, 1x, 5x
- Orange – 0.2x, 0.8x, 4x
- Grapes, Cherries, Plum – 0.2x, 0.4x, 4x
Those line pays are modest by design. Three of the eight symbols pay the same at the bottom of the ladder, and the gaps between them are small. The real money in the base game arrives through the symbols that don’t sit in the paytable at all.
Money Collect Feature
Money symbols can land on reels one to four, each carrying a random value from a fixed set of bet multiples. The set runs 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 18x, 20x, 25x, 30x and 35x. When a collect symbol lands on reel five at the same time, the feature fires and pays according to which of the five collect types appeared:
- Collect – sums all money symbol values and pays
- Extra Credit Collect – adds an extra 1x, 2x, 3x, 5x or 10x bet to every money symbol, then sums and pays
- Multiplier Collect – multiplies all money symbol values by 2x, 3x, 5x, 10x or 25x, then sums and pays
- Expanding Collect – every reel holding a money symbol fills completely with new random money symbols, then sums and pays
- Respin Collect – money symbols lock in place, the remaining cells respin once, then all values sum and pay
The five types aren’t equally generous, and the spread matters. A plain collect with a board of mid-range values pays respectably enough. A multiplier collect on the same board can turn it into something much larger, and an expanding collect has the widest range of the lot.
That’s because expanding works in steps. One money symbol on a reel fills that whole reel with fresh random values before the sum, so a single lowly 1x symbol can become three new ones. The ceiling of a collect hit is therefore set less by what lands than by which collect lands on reel five.
Jackpot Bonus Game
At the end of any base game spin, the jackpot bonus can trigger at random. Four progressive jackpots are on offer simultaneously: Mini, Maxi, Mega and Giga. A stake of at least 0.25 is needed to be eligible, and higher stakes improve the odds of triggering.
The bonus opens a screen of items to pick from. Open them one at a time until three matching jackpot symbols appear; that jackpot is yours. The jackpots don’t trigger during features, so the ladder runs on base game spins only, which keeps the plaque row relevant even when the collect feature is doing the paying.
Fruit Feestje – Oranje Jackpot Free Spins & Bonus Pot
Three scatters on reels two, three and four pay 1x the total bet and award eight free spins. Money symbols and all five collect features stay active throughout the round. That’s what gives it teeth: the same collect symbol that pays in the base game pays here too, on every spin.
The Bonus Pot
The round’s own twist is the bonus pot. Every money symbol that hits during free spins adds its value to the pot, whether or not a collect symbol is there to pay it. Nothing is collected on the spot; it all banks.
When the spins run out, the accumulated total returns to the reels as one giant money symbol covering reels one to four. A final respin then plays out. If a collect symbol lands on reel five for that respin, the whole pot pays. If it doesn’t, the pot is lost, which makes that single closing spin the tensest moment the game offers.
Landing three scatters again during the round retriggers eight more spins with no limit. Every money symbol in the extended round keeps feeding the same pot, so a retriggered session can carry a bank well into the kind of territory the base game never reaches.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.8/10
This is a classic fruit machine with a second engine bolted underneath it. The base game plays exactly as it looks: 7s, bells and fruit on a wine-red window, small line wins, and the collect feature to break the rhythm. What separates it from a plain fruit slot is the plaque row, because any base game spin can end with the jackpot screen opening.
The free spins round is the strongest piece of design. With all five collect types live and every money symbol feeding a pot that returns as one giant symbol for a final do-or-die respin, a good round builds in a way the base game never does. The 95.5% return is the quiet strength here, and it means the jackpot ladder isn’t being paid for out of the ordinary pays.
The weakness is the absence of any stated win ceiling, which leaves the game’s ceiling to the progressives and the collect values. It suits anyone who likes straightforward fruit machine play but wants a lottery ticket running alongside it, and it doesn’t suit anyone chasing engineered multipliers. Feestje indeed, but the party is on the plaques.
