Gates of Hellfire – Base Game
Base Game & Features
Gates of Hellfire is a highly volatile 5-reel Video Slot with an additional 6th reel at the bottom, known as the Weapon Reel. Players have the option of bet sizes between £.€0.10 and £.€50 per spin. In Free Spins, the grid size expands to 7×7.
Unlike a traditional slot, the 5 active reels act as an Enemy Grid, where only enemies and boss symbols can land. The weapon reel can only land a variety of Weapons and Scatter symbols. Other noteworthy attributes include an overall RTP of 96.02% and a fixed max win cap of 5,000x your bet.
HellBox
In the base game, a special HellBox situated in the top-right corner can award Second Strike, Health Pack, and Multiplier features. It may also generate Scatter symbols.
- Second Strike: Activates after all Weapon symbols have dealt damage to the Enemy Grid. Once active, the Weapon Reel and HellBox will Respin.
- Health Pack: Recovers +2 Health Points. Please note, that this feature can also be awarded in Free Spins.
- Multipliers: Once active, the displayed Multiplier will multiply all enemy payouts. Please note, that this feature may not be awarded during Free Spins.
Weapons
Each weapon that appears along the Weapon Reel has a unique attack pattern and damage values. These include:
- Shotgun: Attacks all positions on the same column, dealing 2 Points of damage per position.
- Sniper: Attacks all positions on the same column, dealing 5 Points of damage per position.
- Crossbow: Attacks all positions on the same and adjacent columns, dealing 5 Points of damage per position.
- Rocket Launcher: Attacks a random 3×3 position on the same reel, dealing 20 Points of damage.
- Chainsaw: Attacks all positions on a random row, dealing 10 Points of damage.
- Plasma Gun: Attacks all positions, dealing 40 points of damage.
- MFG: Attacks all positions, dealing 40 Points of damage.
Enemies
With each spin in the base game, a number of Enemy symbols will appear on the Enemy Grid. Each enemy will have a unique number of Health Points and Cash Prizes. When an enemy is fully defeated, its Cash Prize is awarded.
In addition to regular Enemy symbols, this game is also home to Boss Enemies. Each boss enemy is equipped with its own Health Points and Cash Prizes.
Defeating a boss enemy in a single spin will award the total Cash Prize. Please note, that both Baron Boss Twins have to be defeated to progress to the next Boss. Destroying a Barrel symbol will cause 8 adjacent positions to be hit with 15 points of damage.
Hot Bet
Players can choose to activate the Hot Bet Feature for an additional 40% of their current bet. Once active, 1 Scatter symbol is guaranteed to be collected.
Bonus Buy
- Free Spins: Triggers the Free Spins round with 3 Scatters (80x your bet)
- Showdown Spin: Begins a spin that summons the Hellfire Tyrant Boss (250x your bet)
Hellfire Free Spins
The Hellfire Free Spins mode is triggered when 3 Scatter symbols have been collected in a single spin.
During this round, you are awarded 5 Health Points. At the end of each spin, if your Health Points are depleted, you are eliminated and the round ends.
In Free Spins, boss enemies appear frequently. If left undefeated, they will persist through spins. At the end of each spin, the boss enemies will attack, causing you to receive 1 Point of damage. The order in which the boss enemies appear is Baron Twins, Infernal Spider, and Hellfire Tyrant.
When a boss enemy is defeated, your Health Points are replenished, and the next boss enemy is summoned. The Second Strike and Respawn features do not carry over when a new boss enemy is summoned.
If you are defeated whilst the Respawn feature is active, your Health Points will replenish and the current active boss enemy is removed from the grid, including its Cash Prize.
