Gates of Inter Slot Review
Inter Milan have worn a serpent on the club crest for the best part of a century. Gates of Inter makes it the biggest payer on the grid, which tells you how literally Pragmatic Play read the brief. The specs are less romantic. Six reels and five rows of Scatter Pays, high volatility at the full 5/5, a 50,000x max win and an RTP of 94.52% that’s low even by current standards. Stakes run from 0.20 to 240 a spin.
Anyone who’s played Gates of Olympus Super Scatter will recognise a good deal of what follows, because the tumble-and-multiplier engine here comes straight out of that playbook. It also sits in a catalogue that already holds Gates of Olympus 1000 and the original Gates of Olympus, so the lineage isn’t subtle. Whether the Inter badge counts as a new signing or a fresh kit on a familiar player is what this comes down to.
Base Game & Features
There are no paylines. Gates of Inter uses Scatter Pays across its six reels and five rows, so eight or more matching symbols anywhere on the grid pay out, wherever they happen to land.
Payouts step up at three symbol counts: eight to nine, 10 to 11, and 12 or more. The snake sits at the top of the table, with the club badge and the trophy above the coloured gems.

The full paytable runs as follows, shown as multiples of your total bet for eight to nine, 10 to 11 and 12 or more symbols:
- Snake: 30x, 75x, 150x
- Trophy: 7.5x, 30x, 75x
- Inter logo: 6x, 15x, 45x
- Football: 4.5x, 6x, 36x
- Red gem: 3x, 4.5x, 30x
- Purple gem: 2.4x, 3.6x, 24x
- Yellow gem: 1.5x, 3x, 15x
- Green gem: 1.2x, 2.7x, 12x
- Blue gem: 0.75x, 2.25x, 6x
Tumble Feature
Every spin runs the Tumble mechanic automatically. Winning combinations pay, those symbols disappear, the symbols above drop into the gaps and fresh ones fill the empty positions from the top.
Tumbling carries on for as long as new wins keep forming, with no cap on the number of drops. Everything won across the sequence is added together and settled as one total.
Multiplier Symbols
Multiplier symbols land at random on any reel, during both spins and tumbles, in the base game and the free spins alike. Each one takes a value of 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x or 500x.
They don’t apply individually. Once the tumble sequence finishes, every multiplier value still on screen is added together and the combined figure is applied to the whole win.

Super Scatter
The Super Scatter can appear on any of the six reels, and it does two jobs at once. It counts towards the free spins trigger alongside the standard Scatter, and it carries a cash prize of its own.
Where a qualifying combination includes at least one Super Scatter, the prize scales sharply:
- One Super Scatter: 100x total bet
- Two Super Scatters: 500x total bet
- Three Super Scatters: 5,000x total bet
- Four Super Scatters: 50,000x total bet
That four-symbol outcome is one of the two routes to the game’s ceiling. The Super Scatter doesn’t appear at all once the free spins round begins.

Feature Triggers
Four or more Scatter symbols anywhere on screen open the free spins, and Super Scatters count towards that total. Scatters also pay on their own: 9x for four, 15x for five and 300x for six.

Gates of Inter Free Spins
The free spins round awards 15 spins and swaps in a special set of reels for the duration. The Super Scatter is withdrawn, so the round runs on multipliers rather than instant prizes.
The change that matters is how multipliers behave. Whenever a Multiplier symbol lands on a spin that wins, its value is added to a running total that holds for the rest of the round rather than resetting.
Three or more Scatters landing during the round add five extra free spins, and there’s no restriction on retriggering.

Super Free Spins
Super Free Spins run to the same rules, with one change to the maths: the lowest value a Multiplier symbol can take is 10x rather than 2x. The running total therefore starts climbing from a higher floor.

Bonus Buy & Ante Bet
Both rounds can be bought outright, and there’s an Ante Bet for anyone who’d rather chase the trigger. On any purchased round, four, five or six Scatters land at random on the triggering spin.
- Buy Free Spins: 100x total bet, RTP 94.49%
- Buy Super Free Spins: 500x total bet, RTP 94.49%
- Ante Bet: 30x bet multiplier in place of the standard 20x, RTP 94.47%
The Ante Bet puts more Scatters and Super Scatters onto the reels to bring the natural trigger closer. Switch it on and the Buy Free Spins option is disabled while it stays active.

Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 6.8/10
Base play is comfortable rather than tense. Tumbles keep spins alive longer than the volatility rating suggests they should, and the multiplier symbols give the quiet stretches something to watch.
The bonus is where it earns its keep. Watching the running total climb across a round, then a late tumble sequence land on top of it, turned an ordinary win into the best moment of our session.
Super Free Spins lifts the floor without ever feeling five times better than the regular round. The Super Scatter is the real draw: one on screen while Scatters are still dropping changes how closely you watch every remaining position.
The 50,000x ceiling has two routes to it and neither came close for us. High-volatility tumble regulars and Inter supporters will get what they came for; anyone tired of this formula won’t find a badge enough to change their mind.
Gates of Inter is a solid loan signing rather than a marquee one.
Gates of Inter FAQs
-
What is the RTP of Gates of Inter?
Gates of Inter has a default RTP of 94.52%, which is notably below the 96% mark common to older Pragmatic Play releases. The figure shifts slightly depending on how you play: 94.47% with the Ante Bet active, and 94.49% for either of the two bonus buys. -
What is the maximum win on Gates of Inter?
The maximum win is 50,000x your total bet. There are two routes to it: building the running multiplier high enough during the free spins, or landing four Super Scatter symbols in a qualifying combination, which pays 50,000x on its own. -
How volatile is Gates of Inter?
Gates of Inter is a high volatility slot, rated 5 out of 5. The tumble mechanic keeps individual spins active longer than that rating implies, but the substantial wins are concentrated in the free spins rounds rather than base play. -
Does Gates of Inter have free spins?
Yes. Four or more Scatter symbols anywhere on screen award 15 free spins, and Super Scatters count towards that trigger. During the round, every Multiplier symbol that lands on a winning spin adds its value to a running total that holds for the rest of the feature. Three or more Scatters add five extra spins. -
Does Gates of Inter have a bonus buy feature?
It has two. The regular Free Spins round costs 100x your total bet, and Super Free Spins costs 500x. Both play out at an RTP of 94.49%. Note that the Buy Free Spins option is disabled while the Ante Bet is switched on. -
How does the Super Scatter work in Gates of Inter?
The Super Scatter can land on any of the six reels and counts towards the free spins trigger like a standard Scatter. Where a qualifying combination includes at least one, it also pays a cash prize: 100x total bet for one, 500x for two, 5,000x for three and 50,000x for four. It doesn’t appear during the free spins round. -
What is the difference between Free Spins and Super Free Spins?
Both rounds run to the same rules, including the 15 spins and the running multiplier total. The difference is the maths behind the Multiplier symbols: in Super Free Spins the lowest value any of them can take is 10x rather than 2x, so the running total builds from a higher floor. -
What is the bet range on Gates of Inter?
Stakes run from 0.20 up to 240 per spin, so it accommodates low-stakes play and larger bankrolls alike. Bear in mind that the Super Free Spins buy costs 500x your total bet, which is a considerable commitment at anything above the minimum.
