Gates of Olympus 1000 Dice Slot Review
Dawn on Olympus, Zeus hovering beside his marble temple in candy pastels with a bolt crackling from his hand, and he’s throwing dice now instead of gems. The swap changes almost nothing about how Gates of Olympus 1000 Dice actually plays, and that’s the honest pitch: this is a reskin of a proven engine, worth your time only if the proven engine is what you came for.
The maths is the familiar sort: 96.50% RTP, high volatility, and stakes from 0.20 to 240. Multipliers run all the way to 1000x, which is where the name comes from, though the game’s actual max win reaches 15,000x. It sits in a crowded family, next to Gates of Olympus 1000 and the original Gates of Olympus, and the bones it rolls are very much the same bones.
Base Game & Features
Wins pay by symbol count rather than position. Land eight or more of the same dice anywhere on the 6×5 grid and you’ve got a win; there are no paylines to follow. It’s the one rule the whole game hangs on.
Tumble Feature
Every winning spin sets off a tumble. Winning symbols vanish, whatever’s left falls into the gaps, and new symbols drop in from above. The refill can form a fresh win, which triggers another tumble, and the chain keeps running until no new combination appears.
There’s no limit on how many tumbles can chain from a single spin. Everything the sequence wins is added together and paid once the final tumble settles, and that’s the moment the multipliers step in.
Multiplier Symbols
Multiplier symbols can hit at random on any spin, in the base game and the free spins alike, and they sit on all six reels. Each one that lands takes a random value from a fixed set: 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x, 8x, 10x, 12x, 15x, 20x, 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x or 1000x.
When the tumble sequence finishes, every multiplier on screen is added together and the total win of the sequence is multiplied by that combined figure. A modest chain suddenly pays differently if a 500x was sitting in the corner of the grid when it ended.
The Dice Paytable
Nine dice symbols carry the pays, split between four coloured lightning dice and five numbered white dice. Wins step up at eight to nine symbols, ten to eleven, and twelve to thirty. The blue lightning die sits alone at the top of the ladder, the other three colours fill the middle, and the white dice are the workhorses that land most of the eight-plus wins. The values below are shown as multiples of the total bet.
- Blue Lightning Dice: 8-9 pays 10x, 10-11 pays 25x, 12-30 pays 50x
- Green Lightning Dice: 8-9 pays 2.5x, 10-11 pays 10x, 12-30 pays 25x
- Purple Lightning Dice: 8-9 pays 2x, 10-11 pays 5x, 12-30 pays 15x
- Red Lightning Dice: 8-9 pays 1.5x, 10-11 pays 2x, 12-30 pays 12x
- Gold Dice: 8-9 pays 1x, 10-11 pays 1.5x, 12-30 pays 10x
- White Dice (6-pip): 8-9 pays 0.8x, 10-11 pays 1.2x, 12-30 pays 8x
- White Dice (5-pip): 8-9 pays 0.5x, 10-11 pays 1x, 12-30 pays 5x
- White Dice (4-pip): 8-9 pays 0.4x, 10-11 pays 0.9x, 12-30 pays 4x
- White Dice (3-pip): 8-9 pays 0.25x, 10-11 pays 0.75x, 12-30 pays 2x
Ante Bet
Two bet multipliers are on offer before you even look at the bonus. The 25x multiplier doubles the chance of triggering free spins naturally by adding more scatter symbols to the reels, but it switches off the bonus buy. The 20x multiplier is the standard setting, and it’s the one that leaves the purchase option open.
The base screen also carries a Double Chance to Win toggle, currently switched off.
Bonus Round: Gates of Olympus 1000 Dice
Free Spins Feature
Four or more scatter symbols anywhere on the screen award 15 free spins. Special reels are in play for the round, so the symbol mix differs from the base game.
The round’s engine is the running multiplier. Every time a multiplier symbol hits and produces a win during free spins, its value is added to a round-total multiplier that applies to every win for the rest of the feature. A 5x collected early keeps working for you spin after spin.
Retriggers come through scatters as well. Three or more scatters during the round add five free spins, and there’s no stated cap on how often that can happen. A round that keeps feeding itself scatters is where the running multiplier gets the time it needs to matter.
Buy Free Spins
The free spins round can be bought outright from the base game for 100x the current total bet. The purchase is only available while the 20x bet multiplier is active; enabling the 25x ante disables it, so the choice between boosting your odds and skipping the queue is a straight either-or.
Buying guarantees four scatters on the triggering spin, so you always start with the full 15 spins. At the minimum 0.20 stake that’s a 20.00 buy-in; at the 240 maximum it runs to 24,000.
Our Honest Verdict
Overall Rating: 7.1/10
Playing this is playing the Olympus you already know, dice and all, and the one reason to pick it is the look: Zeus in candy pastels, throwing bones instead of gems. If that appeal lands, everything else here is the familiar loop working exactly as it should.
The best thing is the free spins round, because a running multiplier that survives spin after spin gives every collected value a second and third life. The worst is that the dice change nothing underneath: same grid, same pays, same maths as the existing 1000 build, so there’s no mechanical reason to be here.
It suits the high-volatility player who loves this format and fancies a fresh coat of paint, and it gives anyone who already spins Gates of Olympus 1000 nothing new to find. For everyone else, the mountain’s still there, the gates are still open, and Zeus is still generous – he’s just rolling for it now.
